Really? I would argue that the La Liga is far tougher league. Certainly the top European clubs have been coming from Spain. His Champions league record of both goals and assists are good. His international record is also incredible. He was also the champions league top scorer one year alongside Messi and Ronaldo.
La Liga only has 2/3 great sides and a couple reasonable teams where there are no easy away games in The Premiership....

CR7 was not 4 times better than Giggs. He is better but not even twice as good. Giggs was a world class player. Also the longevity that Giggs had was amazing. People talk about the level that Ronaldo is playing at in his 30s. Let's see if Ronaldo is good enough to be a regular in a title winning premier league team when he gets close to 40

Unfortunately the pricing of players now is governed by their agents who over the years have been allowed to gain more power & influence. Some of these agents are now worth more than some of their clients!

Kante would spend the rest of the game on the opposite side of the field of wherever Roy went! Roy NEVER backed down and he was flat-out SMART and calculating, whereas Kante has no stomach for a battle; he is just a little twinkle-toed running-machine and only as thick as a brick. (Pay attention to how Kante avoids the more-physical players in any match). He's just an overrated little chicken-sh*t who's dreading the day he gets exposed. I'd bet Roy could "sort him out" even today!?

Hi Ezra Leslie - Firstly: I'm sorry about coming across as so aggressive earlier bud; I read my message again and realized I could've possibly toned it down a bit(?) - it honestly was not my intention.
That being said, if you watched Chelsea get a beating from Watford today, you might have noticed a bit of what I was saying about Kante (who, IMO, actually had one of his better days - by his standards).
Crucially, I saw a lumbering Janmaat, who is too big to be considered svelte on his best day, simply dance around a flabbergasted Kante, who had not a clue about what was happening and who didn't even engage his brain to respond AT ALL. That would never have been allowed to happen with Roy.

I did watch and to be honest everything came across mostly as you said, he does evade confrontation, constantly looking for gaps+space (though no one can deny his energy). I do think however Kante in a well operated machine, i.e., Leicester '15-16, Chelsea '16-17, can be a sight to behold. Constantly popping up in decisive battles on the pitch, not unlike Makelele. However, it's true though, Roy would have been embarrassed to have been taken on so easily by Janmaat. And, in the end, we know Roy would've wiped the floor with Kante in an match day encounter!
