A lot of it is because "Post-Hardcore" is such a broad term, especially when compared to its other post brothers in Post-Punk, Post-Rock, and Post-Metal. All three of those have pretty specific definitions and sounds (Post-Punk being the broadest encompassing Goth to New Wave). Post-Hardcore on the other hand could refer to stuff that directly followed the original hardcore movement like Husker Du or Dag Nasty, the 90s noise rock influenced stuff like Quicksand or Helmet, or the 00s stuff that sits somewhere between Metalcore, Emo/Screamo, and Pop-Punk. Ultimately, they're all valid definitions and it's not an incorrect title. Some people just like using their pedantic nature to be negative. Using it to create an encyclopedia of useless bullshit in your head is way more fun.
You did a good job sir. Ghost notes on that first pre chorus into a stopped down first half of the chorus was a good call. And you didn’t repeat it the second time through. Lots of shining moments in your creative choices. You used this iconic song as a canvas to paint over. And I think you did a good job!
As a 42 year old man, who was 9 years old when the original was released. I have heard this song literally almost my whole life hahaha. I enjoy Nirvana but i skip this song everytime become i am just so tired of it. But i really enjoyed this rendition and remake of the song. Bravo to you sir. Wonderful work. And also...LONG LIVE POST HARDCORE!!!...also, new sub. Keep up the good work.

It‘s chaotic not gonna lie. I usually poke around on guitar and see if whatever i play goes well with famous vocal lines until something sparks. I also listen a lot to my favourite music to draw inspiration from. Then i start building drums and bass while always jumping back and forth and change things up endlessly until i‘m either satisfied with it or annoyed by the process already taking months lmao. There‘s not really a concept or strategy behind my process but rather a mess of ideas that form into something over time haha.
Once i have a rough idea in mind and at least an isea of guitar riff, when it comes to recording i pretty much always start with programming drums. Then it‘s guitar most of the time, followed by bass and then vocals. As i said - i often switch around and change things up during the process but thats pretty much alwaS the order in which things happen.
This is the best cover of Smells Like Teen Spirit I've heard since Arcane Roots took a crack at it for that Kerrang! compilation way back when. Been on constant replay along with your other covers the last few days. Keep up the amazing work!
Excellent work. Most of these "X band but Y genre" video creators don't actually put in work to make X band sound like Y genre. They reuse the original riffs but add or remove effects. this is actually reimagined.
