- So imagine putting one of the most famous campfire songs into a pair of black skinny jeans, expand it's earlobes to an offensive degree and ask @underoathmusic to play it instead.
I quickly figured this would need the heat that only the flame of a @toddbarriage can bring - so i asked him to help yeet this baby back into the early 2000's with me and BOI DID HE SEND IT.
This is the love child of me and canadas most adorable and talented artist/human.

Yea, that was the album of theirs that really clicked with me the best. I think there were two versions of the album. There's one that has an alternate version of one of the songs added into it. Really great stuff. Anyway, I've cherished that album for 20 years. Such an incredible feeling-fest listening through that. Reminds me of a time when it held a place in my heart with a lot of screamo / hardcore stuff back then (Misery Signals, Norma Jean, Haste the Day, Emery, Static Lullaby, etc.).

I've heard so many "rock" covers of this song but this is the first that ticks every box for me. Pop punk pacing with mid 2000s UnderØath style vocals.. That second verse hits the spot and gives me nostalgia rush as if it were injected straight into my veins. Great job guys!

Underoath is such a unique band it’s the attention to detail that makes this vid great. From all the musical touches, the scratchy video editing (2000’s core vibe for sure), and even the green tape on the Mike like Spencer would do. Amazing!

It's got the right amount of screams, it's got some quality riffs, it's got great fucking lyrics, what else could you possibly want from an album? Alexisonfire is a very, very special band. Also very appreciative of the fact it wasn't heavily electronica influence like most of the late 2000's/early 2010s posthardcore/metalcore stuff. An excellent nod to all the (now aging) metalcore guitarist out there, don't think we don't hear those low rhythms and "danger chords" lol. Really enjoyed the guitar work, guess I'll go dust off the old Schector and give the acoustic a break lol.
The mid 2000s scene salutes you both, and we hope for more.
You both should do a 90s cover album in this style, much like 4 Year Strong did a 90s punk cover album.
