I have been struggling on how to line my lips now that I’m older thank you so much
I love this video even though it was posted 2 years ago. I’m 64 and never wore makeup much because I never learned how to use it or what looked good on me because I’m so fair and I have very sensitive skin. After my husband passed I was suddenly left to figure out a life for myself after being Mrs Jones for 40 years and it’s so hard!! I’m looking into different makeup lines to start using and it’s kind of fun seeing all the things out there although most seem to favor the younger ladies. I want to go out of the house in the morning and like what I see in the mirror.

Just recently I took the plunge and got my eyebrows done and I am so pleased. I really investigated a lot of aestheticians before I found one who would give me a perfectly natural look. Outlining our lips does help to give definition but I wonder where my plump thick lips went. My main problem with outlining is that it never lasts very long,and that was frustrating so I tried this...I love revlon 16 hour color stay liquid. Always sienna is a shade I love because it is so natural looking but of course you could use any shade you desired...so I took my small lipliner brush, and lined my lips just as you did.put on my favorite shade of lipstick and that liner LASTED ALL DAY. I could have filled in my lips with same product,but it gave my lips great definition and the choice to use ANY lip product! Keep your great videos coming! Love em!
I love these very detailed tutorials, like this one and the hooded eyes. Very helpful. I wish you would do one on concealer, especially for women with glasses. For my lips, I also go a little bit outside the line and I got Laneige lip sleeping mask at Sephora as my birthday gift. LOVE IT! My lips never chapped this winter with that stuff and it kinda smells like Bazooka bubble gum I had as a kid. ☺️. Have a great day.

I have thin lips also, especially my top one and with aging, it's much thinner and practically disappears if I make too big of a smile. I pretty much do my lips the way you do, Kimberly, including the corners. I figured that one out a long time ago. I'm 66. I have a cordless toothbrush that works great for exfoliating my lips. I live in the high desert so my lips stay rather dry year round. I'm going to look into that plumping lip gloss. Thanks so much!

Loved the video!!! Glad that you reloaded it, because the first version just cut off all of a sudden. One additional trick to add to your wonderful tips is to line the lips with a long-lasting lipstick (instead of lip pencil), then fill in the lip with the long-lasting lipstick. Because of mask wearing, i am finding that the long lasting lipsticks do not get on my masks like regular lipsticks do. The best long-lasting lipstick I have used to date (and I have tried a lot) is YSL Tatouage Couture Matte Skin. It is not drying at all and lasts all day. It's a tad pricey but lasts months even with daily use. On my non-mask wearing days, I love Kimberly's lipstick suggestions. Hope this is helpful.

I can now use my Curology formula on my lips. It took time to build tolerance, but now it's fine. I also use The Ordinary Glycolic toner on my face and lips a few times a week. Big difference!

Have you tried City Lips? It is pricey, but in my opinion, totally worth it. It is a lip plumer/serum, and hydrates deeply and plums without any sting. Comes in clear and beautiful colors...I wear it at night as an overnight lip mask, and keep one in my purse to wear under my mask.

Hello, just love your video. Thank you. I'm a tad over 50 and smoked most of my life. How do you stop bleeding and feathering? I've tried so many, I'm tempted to get them tattooed to my color, but am bad with pain.
I think that our lips don't get thinner with age, but the lip pigment fades... making it look like less lip!

Thanks muchly for this tutorial!!! Do you have any suggestions for those of us whose upper lip line is not balanced between left & right sides? One side of my upper lip comes up in a sharper, pointed angle, whereas the other side is more rounded, like the “cupid’s bow.”

The issue I have is that the liner doesn’t last long at all
If I exfoliated my lips they would break out into red sores. Anytime I've touched my lips with products..my lips get red and very sore 🤔...
I have that problem as well. Since teenager days, I break out with a cold sore if I exfoliate my lips. :(
LOVE this video, thank you! My lips (much like my eyebrows) have become almost non-existent. I use liner, but I'm going to try this technique. I've been reluctant to line outside the vermillion bcs I have those vertical lines (even though I've never smoked and don't use straws) and I was afraid it would accentuate those. Can you micro-needle the lipline? I should watch your micro-needle video again, ;)
Micro needling is excellent for lip lines! It takes a while to see results, but the payoff is great. Thanks for sharing Rose!
