What's up Buds? We have been dying for this race weekend to come and had an absolute blast. The weather was about as good as it gets at Windrock. NO RAIN. A little chilly one day but at least we were dry!
We started out with some trail riding at the campground trails on Thursday when we got there. On Friday morning, we pre rode a few stages. We rode North Side (stage 3), Rolling Coal (stage 1), and Lower Windmill (stage 2).
After that, we walked up to catch some of the downhill practice which was followed up by the RedBull Whip Off. There were some phat whips, moon booters, backflips, broken wheels, and some really hard slams... What a good time!
Saturday was race day for downhill riders. We watched some warm up runs, then watched Cam get the Swiffer during his race run lol. Immediately after his run, we got all geared up to hit a full Windmill before our race on Sunday. Full Windmill was rowdy so we are so glad we pre rode that beforehand!
Race day went about as bad as it could go for Blake. He had a solid few days of pre riding and felt smooth and fast but couldn't keep it together on race day. He placed 18th of 26 in his class even after crashing a handful of times...
Chase had a solid day finishing out the day 1st in his class and also taking home a new Cane Creek Helm fork for having the fastest amateur time of the day!
It was a sick weekend and we can't wait for the next one!

Check out Bontrager's Pro Line 30 Carbons..........not saying they are better than the Roval's I loved, but the warranty is the best in the industry. Back over them with your truck and they still replace them! Great Videos and are you guys Riding Horns Hill at all?
Buds...think i saw your Van @ snowshoe last weekend. Anyhow I'm thinking my next downhill destination will be somewhere other than Snowshoe. Wasn't digging the vibe there last weekend. I'm thinking Windrock or Thunder mountain. Both are equal distance from Pittsburgh. Which place is better, in your opinion?
