Oh, and hey I gotta ask; are you guys still following and reading the Sonic IDW comics? And do you plan to do dubs for all the IDW comics for as long as the series goes? I know that's a lot to ask, but I'm sure that with time, patience and the rights work and crew, you guys can pull it all off.
See, THIS is what I miss from this era of Sonic comics: -The SatAM Freedom Fighters, -Chasing down a train from Heroes, -As it hurdles through the forest of Soleanna from '06, -Fighting an E-100 robot based on Adventure, -As well as classic Badniks, -To save Professor Pickle from Unleashed. Even with all of these disparate elements from different Sonic games and eras, they all mesh perfectly fine here in this comic. This is the true power of Ian Flynn.
Not only was saving Professor Pickle from Unleashed, but it seems that the Archie comics starting from 252 to later on seem to follow the Unleashed storyline with how Sonic had some Wearhog moments, the Dark Gaia, the Temples, Ian took Sonic and turned him into something AMAZING.
Yeah, even though this takes place on Sonic Unleashed video game, the freedom fighters like Sally Acorn, Rotor, Bunnie Rabbot and Antoine appeared on these “Gaia Saga” issues despite that they do NOT appeared in this video game version!
8:10 This made me laugh so hard, my favorite moment!! And I gotta say, I love love love Amy, the voice suits her SO well! Imo, the BEST Amy voice I've ever heard!
I really REALLY love how archie did with the werehog! Everytime when sonic would get angry or worked up; Sonic would slowly transform. Something like the Hulk. Which i'm all for!
I miss Archie Sonic , it illustrated such a great idea. Use a comic book series to create a distillation of the games to reward the fans. You could disregard the flaws of the games , and appreciate the interesting ideas. If only Sega would have had better lawyers.
I don't even think it was the lawyer's faults, if I remember correctly, Sega just literally didn't anything for months and eventually the case was just given to Penders or something, it's unfortunate that the higher ups at Sega didn't care about the lawsuit as much as they should've
@Dylan MacBride The 2nd Actually Ian has stated that even he didn't like how he wrote Shadow for IDW, apparently most of it was because of SEGA. If you've read how Ian writes Shadow in the Archie comics it is actually not so bad.
How does one “join the cast”? Discord? Some other way of contact? As a huge Sonic fan with acting experience I would love to help in some way if I could.

Professor Pickle and Uncle Chuck are underrated characters, they could be Doctor Light or professor e.gadd in the Sonic franchise It's a shame they didn't return as commanders for Sonic and Restoration at IDW.

After playing Sonic Frontiers, I have to wonder if the Gaia Temples were structures left behind by The Ancients considering they seem to be built with the Chaos Emeralds in mind.

I will say it again, the whole crew really puts their all into this production and it shows. Thank you all for letting me relive my childhood with these comic dubs. They certainly brighten a boring week, that’s for sure.

As an editor who enjoys editing comic dubs, I have to say I am so impressed by the quality of the editing. The sound and video editing is so unique and brings this comic TO LIFE. I love the animation in the background of the train moving and that the background changes environment based on the location on the panel. The sound effects are so natural in this and the background music flows so well. This really has inspired me. I really can't wait to see more from your team. Brilliant work, really outstanding editing alongside the voices and detail to art for the editing are awesome.
While everyone involved did an outstanding job in putting this all together, for me, I personal think the biggest praise goes to the team who worked on the backgrounds and graphics. Jean B, Scrillow, Cori, Kizakoto and Red Wolfe, you guys all deserve medals for the effort you put into this. I once had the physical copy of the graphic novel that had this two parter, before getting rid of it during a sort-out of my room during the first lockdown in the UK (boy do I regret that now). As such I knew certain things to look out for. One bit I like to highlight was the white arrows of Amy's sight line at 3:52. I knew that was in the original graphic novel, not something you guys added in, and I'm impressed you guys managed to edit the pieces of white of the arrow line the way you did without harming or distorting the original artwork behind the arrow, like that crate for example. How hard or easy was that to do guys? That and everything else, the flow of the panels to match the speeds of the dialogues, the designs of the backgrounds to match the scenes and the motions to highlight the fast speeds of the train really made the whole thing really come alive. Outstanding job guy! Keep at it.
While I can't speak to what was required for this video, I've done that sort of cleanup for some of the other dubs on our channel. In most cases I end up finding creative ways to simplify the process, e.g. using Clone Stamp or similar tools, or starting by matching brushstrokes or other details. It's a good challenge to try and retain the original comic artists' intent each time. The other folks who occasionally clean up our panels (such as the ones for this video) are highly-skilled artists - so I figure this sort of thing is just another day on the job for them!
Man, it's so cool seeing these comics I read so long ago being re-told so well. I unfortunately don't have a LOT of my older comics, but this is a great way for me to experience them again. You guys do a great job with these dubs, they're so fun.

Incredible video And honestly the voice of professor pickle sounded familiar as if I've heard it before on one or more characters but not in sonic franchise. Also lol the ending on blopper made me laugh because of seeing pickle as Duke nukem.

This was sooo fun! I had a good time reading this part, but the voices and music really sell the chaotic train rescue vibe. Excellent stuff as always.
