One thing I appreciate about the Unleashed storyline in the Archie comics is how it delves a lot more into the chaotic destruction and civilian panic caused by Dark Gaia’s awakening.
Yeah definitely, it feels more realistic since a planetary-wide crisis would affect literally everything around the various locations.
@@gunstrokethecybertronian8659 yeah, in the game, no one seemed to be hurt or even care.
I think what I like, too, as that they are actually wondering how the the fragments of the planet are staying together, ocean is grand, and how everyone can still breath, but by the end Sonic just chalks it up to magic...which is not wrong.

The scene where Sonic gives Tails a blank smile of reassurance while he silently remembers all his past trauma is such meme material XD. Those are eyes that have seen too much...
I mean, if I were to be written by Ken Penders, I'd have war flashbacks too, so to speak.
This arc keeps getting better and better in terms of production. Glad to be a part of it~

11:25 I absolutely love how by adding those bits from the old world, you’ve re-contextualized Sonic’s expression from him knowing that he’ll forget everything and just putting up a brave face for Tails to It just dawning on Sonic that he’ll soon be the only one left who will remember everything and everyone in the old world. That’s gotta be rough for Sonic.😢
I love how G.U.N is portrayed rather positively in this issue with how they work well with the Sonic heroes and living up to their talks of being protectors of the world, unlike how they were in Sonic Adventure 2 in their introduction, especially involving the Maria incident.
Unleashed was first Sonic game, and it remains my favorite to this day. When I heard Archie was doing an arc of it with the Freedom Fighters, my kid self burst with joy. Ah, those were good times.
The flashback throughout all the Archie comic events during Sonic’s moment of contemplation was actually the sickest shit
I liked the view of the world where humans and mobians coexist as the same people, so I'm glad to hear that Tails Tube brought them back to the setting of those days.There are often ordinary people like us who aren't heroes like Sonic. i love it i know
1. Y'all are outdoing yourselves with the Archie series, man. The voice acting and editing is just awesome and all those memories of the "Other World" (with voice acting for those as well) at 11:25 was amazing. Brought back memories for ME.
2. I'm also both a little surprised and happy that you added a Sonally scene (11:35) as one of those memories too... No, I'm not trying to start a shipping war. Those have been going on for long enough already.

The only thing I have to complain about is that Sally sounded a little too "upbeat" about all this at first. The world was falling apart and she was still reeling from the fact that she was once turned into Eggman's robotic assassin.
Archie dub Egmman's VA males a good darker Robotnik. The Fury when yelling at Orbot for his wrecklessness. So good. And the "Noooo" in the flashbacks where he lost his sanity was also on point. Both IDW's and Archie's Eggmans are great
It is interesting how for once Eggman and the Freedom Fighters are striving towards a similar goal despite their contrary motivations.
I swear Landy’s Sonic Voice gets better every time

5:39-5:44 has go to be one of the most funny things I ever heard in a comic. When I first listen to this a month ago it had me laughing on the ground for five minutes.

I have to appreciate a highlight I've been seeing throughout the issues that I keep replaying: The panels of the memories. Everytime you hear a snippet of the world before, it feels like the emotion of the story is told throughout each flash of an old Archie panel one sees.
Especially gonna highlight the particular part that flashes Eggman losing his mind after that being beaten so many times. That was one of the first Archie issues I ever read, and the VA for Eggman got that scream to make me shiver.

I love the shattered world saga in archie so much more than in the games. It shows sonic going crazy and they even included metal sonic and chip interacting with more people

Sally's voice actor is really giving their all. Perfectly encapsulating the stress she's under while making it audibly clear she's a loving person.
Great work on dubbing cant wait for the next issue 😄. 5:43 eggman looks terrifying in this page like he's just done with everything also cant believe dark gia is coming well that what i think from the earth shattering and sonic slowly turning into something else 7:21 was really chilling 💀.

When Sonic was remember the events of the Genesis wave that was a nice touch I really don't have the money to buy these comics so my knowledge on the events before the Genesis wave is very little but from the glimpses that this ark have been showing it really interesting me and would love if one day you could dub those comic too since to be honest you guys are my only way to actually experience these comics but other than that great job!
