The visual of the 'Green Door' shown at the end of this run helps to cement the continuity that was always there between The Immortal Hulk run with writer Al Ewing and this arc by writers Cates/Ottley. The Green Door is now firmly part of the Hulks canon and it actually helps to tell the story of where the Hulk sources his UNLIMITED power, strength and other abilities from. Prior to the Green Door providing some explanation for this, readers were always left with this lingering questions of: "Where exactly does the Hulks unlimited power reservoir come from when he gets angry?" Al Ewing brought us the answer in his legendary Immortal Hulk run, by introducing us to the Green Door and the dimension of The One Below All....Donny Cates and Ryan Ottley have shown us the Green Door at the end of this arc as well and we now know that Titans emergence came from a tiny speck of this power that was inserted into the Hulks mind that was also sourced from the Green Door. Since the Green door was introduced to the Hulks storyline we have seen The Hulks power creep to a scale that would meet or exceed any other characters comparative power creep in the Marvel Universe. He's functionally Immortal in every way....and not just an immortality to aging, but an immortality to being incinerated or atomized even. His healing factor which is immensely fast will bring him BACK from the dead. By comparison this sets him apart from Olympian or Asgardian gods who are also called immortal, but they can be destroyed by physical force and they do not reform or grow back limbs, etc. Additionally, we have seen that when he's sufficiently juiced up the Hulk can now shoot Green Gamma Ray laser beams out of his eyes (looking like Superman) and he can also explode like a gamma bomb and siphon gamma energy out of other gamma beings, etc.....I've left some things out here but you get the point. If I wasn't a Hulk fan, I would probably be like, "what will they come up with next for this character". Well, with the Green Door being a permanent part of The Hulks mythology, the answer is nothing is impossible for this characters direction for future writers. I do like that up to this point they have kept the Green Door dimension somewhat vague and that allows for new writers to come in and add to the characters depth by building on this new normal. Whether you are a Hulk fan or not, I think you would agree that the Green Door dimension makes the character far FAR more interesting to the average reader. Instead of the character saying simple things like "Hulk Smash", we now have this character who has had the attention of The One Above All (TOAA). I think The One Above All and THE ONE BELOW ALL (TOBA) represent the Yin (light) and Yang (Dark) of marvels two most extreme polarities of power. The Hulk has become the earthly Avatar of The One Below All (who was explained to really be a creation of The One Above All). So, if you follow that logic, the Hulk draws his strength and power from TOAA himself (by way of TOBA/Green Door)! I do think the ending of this series was rushed, particularly this last issue, but overall, I am pleased with the way it was cleaned up for the next team. I hope they continue to build on this character development for the Hulk because he is no longer a simple musclebound, angry child. He is now an immortal, cosmic, force of nature with access to an unlimited power source (and storyline expansion) by way of the mysterious green door.
I don't buy this Green Door concept. Everything is "cosmic" or "god" in Comics these last years. It's just fashion.... Don't forget where everything really comes from : it's about a contamination in the first place, it's gamma radiations. Peter David nailed the one and only concept about Banner and Hulk, and about all the characters exposed : psychology. Their personnal stories and their minds explained how subtle their bodies react to gamma rays. All these Titan, Immortal, God Hulks, Green Door can't compare to Peter David explanations.
@@opal-fr I’m also a fan of Peter David’s writing contributions but I think his version of the Hulk is one of the weaker Hulks we’ve seen. I was reading this recent article on the NASA website that was describing a recent (actual) Gamma Ray Burst (GRB) that was detected by our astrophysicists and it was incredible to hear a scientific description of their power: “Gamma Ray Bursts shine a million trillion times as bright as the Sun. When a GRB erupts, in only a few seconds it is briefly the brightest source of cosmic, gamma-ray photons in the Universe” This particular Gamma Ray Burst travelled 1.9 billion years to get to a place where we (puny humans) could detect it and it was still a “million trillion” times brighter than our sun when it got to us. Had Peter David continued writing Hulk..I’m sure his strength would eventually dwindle to …class 5…So enough with Peter David already…Now as far as the Hulk’s unlimited power, my take on both Story Arcs (Al Ewing and Cates/Ottley) is that The One Above All wanted to create a being that represented his Unfettered Wrath…Brian Banner was supposed to be that representation…but fate gave the power to Bruce Banner…Hence his abusive childhood . The green door gave a fraction of its power in n order to be able to the Hulk’s mind which would then have the OPPORTUNITY to utilize what’s already there…Hulk’s Unlimited Power. Thank God, Monolith is still alive. I almost thought they were going to go the Planet Hulk route, where the strong woman we liked gets killed at the end and the planet, or at least the city, gets destroyed. I for sure thought she was a goner last issue when Titan ripped her horn off. Kinda disappointed how easily Hulk defeated Titan. I wonder if he'll return. Also, has D'Spayre always been this weak?
Slight correction, Jen became She-Hulk, Doc Sampson became Doc Sampson. Doc Green is one of Bruce’s personalities
I would like to see that green door to be introduced in the Marvel what if story line....sincewe know what happen to hulk there😉
Can I get a happy birthday 🎉 also I love your content
Here's a random thought: Could you compose a list of heroes that haven't canonically died yet in the marvel/DC universe? Seems like a challenge
This is some crazy stuff. Dr Strange dead not dead, green doors, Titans, and Rob putting all together !!!!MADNESS!!!! but I like it 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
Breaking the world is a feat even savage hulk can accomplish
Can you do a beyond omega level for ben grimm as the infinity thing
Majin Buu also put holes in reality by screaming :P
@Titan Hulk i was joking hehe
I absolutely love the fact they are taking a mental health break and the story is taking break along side them, lets normalize this, it's a win win. We can have people live better lives in general and get even better stories from these folks!
All of this could drive anyone crazy..as a true hulk fan..ol greenskin would say...HULK IS HULK..HUMANS TRY TO CONFUSE HULK...nuff said!...true believers.
Hey Robb, wats up with the new thumbnails? It makes your videos camouflage when scrolling.
Afternoon Rob, hope you are doing well! May you please do an origin video for Codpiece? (DC)
Man Donny cates is just fucking great.
Sentry also ripped a portal to another dimension open with his physical strength as well, so him, titan and Trion Juggernaut have done it
I thought they defeated the leader on the last run? Homie still behind the green door scheming?
you miscommunicated some details, the titan hulk is still there in his trama centers of his mind, it is simply dormant now
what comic line is this from i want to read this, is there an order or somekind of guide ?
God has a Hulk form? Whoa!
The writer health should always take priority, though we couldn't get a better ending but it is worth it.
Was Doc Sampson Doc Green at some point? I thought Doc Green was just another Hulk persona.
Titan hulk kimd of reminds me of the animation where hulk absorbs the radiation from something then takes on a badass form.
The ending of this is crazy imo but thinking bout Steven has been there for some the hulk’s craziest stories
i am soooooo glad i dont buy comics anymore everyones a god nowadays
For real. Like how is any villain supposed to threaten them now?
Hulk is OP💪🏿
Okay, I'm convinced Titan Hulk is the threat greater than The One Above All coming the Marvel Universe.
That Titan Hulk looks like 100% Toguro
