The original prayer to the Guardian Angel:
Angel of God, my guardian dear,

And at my death my helper be. Amen.
Most prayer books only have the first 4 lines, omitting the last two lines.
Encourage your kids and grandchild to pray the original Guardian Angel prayer !

thank you for this and I want to touch on the old ways as well . I'm 56 and feeling my age catching up with me. I find 2 things worrisome , 1 how much the catholic church has changed, and 2 how much the bible has changed. Whhy these concern me . Because yyou don't alterr the bible and yet , over the decades we see itbeing altered , from what is canon and isn't. If it's the word of GOD let us have access to it , donn't lock it away from us . As for the church , again way to many changes . Why no talk about hell and purgatory ? Just upbeat stuff . We NEED to hhear the bad as well as not everyone goes to heaven . I watch church and it's all mega churches now with normal 9 to 5 hours . Why when the devil is 24/7 ? Ii try to get help for spiritual guidance and it's not there anymore. I remember the 70s and how awesome church was , and now not so much. Women shouldn't speack in church and yet thet read scripture from the pulpit. Church isn't church anymore and what's being taught cooncerrns me . Ignoring the old ways and replacing it with a new way , just doesn't feel right. Like this prayer , and many others , being altered . I much prefer the old ways. Feels as though the church has llost it's way and bible too .
