    Thank you for this message, Pastor Jesse! The majority of churches are fractured messes! Multiple, erroneous doctrines/heresies being taught under one roof, etc.
    I'm so thankful to have found Calvary of Tampa and Northland Bible Church!!!
    Thank you for not allowing heresies to infiltrate this ministry!

    I am very careful who i listen to and only listen to clear gospel preachers, but i have found clear gospel teachers that believe in pre, mid and post tribulation personally i am not sure pray its pre and seems that way. Glad to here you say you fellowship with others that believe different as long as the gospel is not muddled. I see some attacking, stop sharing there clear gospel post, and warning others that they don’t believe the timing of the rapture the way they do.

      I think your comments best describe how I feel as well. It does sadden me to see Christians fighting amongst each other as to whose teaching are more accurate rather than concentrating on teaching the gospel. At this point I spend my time concentrating on my relationship with the lord while trying to lead others to him. Because I sincerely believe we are living in the end times heading into the tribulations. Thus to me these are the most important things we should be doing.

      Those people who preach a "clear gospel", but aren't pre-trib are likely influenced by Steven Anderson. It's an odd mixture of doctrine they have, because it's widely known that Free Grace theology is a corollary of Dispensationalism (which teaches a pre-trib rapture).
      BTW, Steven Anderson isn't actually clear on the gospel. He teaches salvation by prayer.

    How do you define what walking in the spirit is? Is it bearing fruit and commandment keeping?

    • @jamesvan2201
      @jamesvan2201 3 месяца назад

      it is faith in christ. not of anything you can do, hence "spirit". your works are the "flesh".

    I attend a AOG church (ugh but thats where we are right now, i wish not). When THEY say dont quench the Holy Spirit, theybare meaning, dont NOT speak in tongues, dont NOT raise your hands during P&W, dont NOT believe when one give a "word pf knowledge"...knowledge is used lightly in my opinion.

    Also, what about the LDS church (Mormons)? They don't believe the right things but they do believe in Jesus, but also works. So are they gonna be saved just disappointed that they don't become a god?

    A very interesting topic. Who is correctly teaching on the meaning of Baptism for example. The honest, wise & Godly Lutheran, Presbyterian or Baptist? Who are all united in the claim to Sola Scriptura & each devoted to walking with the Holy Spirit. The meaning of Baptism is also important isn't it? Especially for the Lutheran Prodistant. It's also a subject of faith & practice. Not just faith. Whatever I believe about End times or Genesis obedience is not specifically required from me. However should I baptise my infint child or not requires faith into practice, obedience. What is God's Will? The subject of Baptism & the Ecurest are the two Prodistant Sacraments which are obviously very important but there is no consensus of agreement with these...Sola Scriptura but various interpretations by wise, devoted godly believers. Interesting too that when Jesus said the Holy Spirit will guide you into all truth he was talking to His disciples. Some believers who hold to an Apostolic succession model of authority interpret this to mean The Holy Spirit will lead the Apostles into All truth. They are the writers of our cannon, not the readers. I'm not Catholic or Eastern orthodox by the way. I'm a Christian attending an Anglican church. I'd love to hear your thoughts and the thoughts of others here. God bless

    So when you say believers will be deceived, so just because we misunderstand something as a believer, it doesn't mean we are not saved right?

  • @catherinegray1367
    @catherinegray1367 Год назад

    I believe there are levels of deception that make the deception even worse! That makes sense in my head, but how have we laughed at someone who gave all their money for a prayer cloth so God would bless them- "Haha, what a sucker" but then John MacArthur says, "you're not saved by works, but if you're saved your works will show it," and we fall for it, showing the same sucker-ability, but we "grade" it differently. Like sin. Only one word for it- hamartia. There aren't multiple words, or tenses for this "missing the mark." So we judge the different false msgs like we judge their sin and both are wrong. Hope that makes sense!

    Idk man there's some geneniue believers that I believe just go by tradition though when you study the Bible it's either very obvious or can be very vague. I definitely agree that we should he more focused on the major things like you say but minor things like is eating meat a sin or is that a sin which Paul brings up Is where I think we can disagree. I do question if the Holy Spirit is to guide us into all truth is that a literal statement or is it just the major things that we need to know for our lives.

    We already have a template of the end times that we can look to in the flood of Noah. Enoch walked with God and was taken, and Noah and his family were preserved through the wrath of God as a remnant, while the rest of the world was destroyed. As the end times are spelled out, we'll have the rapture, 144,000 kept through the wrath as a remnant, and the rest of the world destroyed in the process. Those 144,000 can't be believers yet, or else they would be taken up in the rapture. It will be the great tribulation period that brings about their conversion, and like Noah's family they will be protected while God's wrath destroys everything else. God gives us predictable patterns we can look to, because he is consistent in all of his ways.

      Indeed. I always look to the Greek (NT) and Hebrew (OT), as well as the context of the passage to understand what is being conveyed. People don’t seem to comprehend that the Bible is nearly 3470 years old (based on when Moses wrote the first 5 books of the Bible). If we’re talking about the events written about by Moses, then the Word goes back to the beginning of mankind, which makes the Bible 6000+ years old. Now, since Jesus Christ is the Word (God) in the flesh, that means God’s Word has existed for eternity.
