When i was once we put doom but didn't killed malistaire. He had maybe 2k left hp. Well that one balance was sure that killing him with Gaze of fate is great idea. Not only took all infections but also global -,-
Honestly I just hate the people who press team up and only farm the one boss at the beginning when they could of easily found some friends to farm with them
I did a Tartarus run with a girl who had level 25 gear and didn’t do anything but pass until she needed health and then wasted our feints on a death spell
@@yaga6071 I wore level 25 gear in Darkmoor cause it looked cool and did 50+ consistent less than 30 minute runs and never had anyone leave. Don't need gear as a support, just need to play smart.
When you go into the dungeon with 2 good people who can sit and talk for a second to prepare a plan but then there's that one person with attitude who throws teamwork out the window and just puts one blade on themself and decides to randomly hit and completely ruin the battle for you and they'll insist on doing what they want regardless of what you tell them
one time, i went through the whole boss with three hitters, me one of em, (3 storm). malistaire was at about 2000 health. boss did aoe killed us all except for the one myth. we came back to find out he killed the boss BY HIMSELF. idk how someone could suck so much
I hate when people drop their waterworks gear for the tier three darkmoor gear that butchers all your other stats. Whats worse is that some don't even get the malistaire gear, they get the tier three and then just continue questing with sub 60 damage
yeah i was in mirage fighting scorpion recently and a myth had 58 damage but luckily me being a storm with 160 damage i could solo it and she was really just a meat shield
My first experience in Darkmoor I used team-up and I was in the first part of it. We hadn’t even started the first fight and this one dude says “I’m not doing this with noobs, it isn’t easy” and I’m like “what the hell do you expect it’s the first part of Darkmoor of course I don’t have the gear from the graveyard”
As an OG storm wizard, can people stop making storm wizards!!! All I see at higher levels is storm storm storm and it's so gross. But the only reason I say is cause I think people make a ton for storm cause they think I'm storm so I'll always do most damage and hit so yeah... I actually enjoy supporting if it gets us the win idrc
i’ve literally had this problem with every dungeon... even in waterworks people decide to just leave after the first mob fight or don’t say that they’re only doing the first boss? seriously i can’t deal with these people
The reason people don’t say they are only doing the first boss is because otherwise the people who want to do a full run will leave, meaning their only option is to just lie :/, sucks that those people don’t suck it up but it’s whatever :/
I'm one of those people but I still try to prepare and help for the fights, and I only want higher levels in hopes they have better stats to make farming for gear not as long and tedious
@@anon-ud9mq Sometimes when I'm farming something like Mirror Lake, I'm sitting there on my Level 76 Balance while everyone else is Max, and I feel so out of place, but no matter what character I am or who everyone else is, I'm gonna be damned if I just sit there and be handed everything and make them do all the work. Even if it's just a blade or heal, I'm helping dammit.
Bruh I understand people wanting an easier time but still just play the game at some point leaving if you dont have a max wiz and cause you only have wizards your level makes sense cause that's what it should be, I feel that wiz has turned to be hey lets not face things at the level of my wiz I just want to be carried and do this fast like okay you do realize that sometimes actually playing the game as you level with people of your level was once fun even if it was slower
I remember the first time I did Darkmoor, on my life. There was this myth chick that was with us until near the end of the 2nd part and she had garbage stats but wanted to hit so...she messed up our setups and got us all killed multiple times, ignored cheats. The whole time we were telling her we already had a hitter so she got extremely nasty. So she fled in one of the last battles of 2nd part and ironically we did way better with just 3 people. It put so much stress on me having to *constantly* save people from dying and healing. I ALWAYS dread Darkmoor because of a ton of people like this, but I also have no wiz friends so my sanity is going to be lost
Darkmoor... Yuck I have so much problems with this dungeon. It sucks because the dungeon itself is amazing! The people are quite the opposite though. #1 - Most people who join team up are rocking gear worse than Waterworks!! #2 - People seriously can't make their deck short and useful, they rather use shadow spells or pass, like just blade or feint or something please! And #3 - Dont say you are doing full if your not! Almost every other run there is someone who always leaves, like dont say full than leave! DONT TEAM UP THAN LEAVE! (obviously unless everyone on the team is on the same page about it) - Great vid though 😁
Yeah I feel for that. It’s hard to find people who just want to do the first fight and the key boss so I end up doing full cause I don’t want to be rude.
Literally, idk why people can’t just read the cheats beforehand. I’m an experienced player but I still read into cheats on the bosses that I’m not overly familiar with just so that I don’t go into it blind. Also, I’ve got 2 accounts and when randoms hitch hike on my questing with my other maxed wizard, usually my storm, they literally don’t do anything and then they rush into battles without me even being remotely ready. When I quest with my friends, we literally make designated roles. One does enchanted buffs, the other does regular buffs, etc. and literally we can attack on round 1 or 2 95% of the time. Now, I’ve turned into one of those wizards who don’t really talk to randoms, but that’s only because they just want to use me for speed questing or they’re just there for the benefit of having max wizards as their bodyguards.
The thing that annoys me about Darkmoor, more than anything else, is just HOW much you need to prepare for it, and how MANDATORY it is to do it. Every other problem with Darkmoor stems from it. It's not like a cool 2 hour gauntlet or secret boss that gives you really good, yet still OPTIONAL gear, the second you hit level 100, you're FORCED to stop whatever the hell you're doing to go get a full set of Darkmoor gear, and if you don't have enough crowns to just open the chest after a single run, you're going. to. suffer. If I only had to run Darkmoor once on each of my characters, I'd love the dungeon. Assuming you're all level 100 and aren't just using a max level wizard to cheese everything, the dungeon is EXTREMELY difficult, and you feel GREAT for completing it after a long 3 hour journey. When I first did Darkmoor way back in 2014, I LOVED it. I had no idea how ANYONE could hate the dungeon. 6 years and 8 characters later, I hate this dungeon so god damn much, it's one of my most hated dungeons. All the things in this video, all my personal issues with it, they all stem from the fact that the gear is so freaking good it's mandatory you have to go get it, and since it's really difficult without a max level there helping you, if anyone is not up to date with cheats, has bad gear, bad pets, no strategy, etc, even if you're just leaving after the first fight, or hell even before the first fight, now you have to wait 10 minutes to try again because there was no way to beat the dungeon with that group. Or, you stick it out, and after 4 hours of torture, (assuming you even MANAGE to beat it with that group) you MAYBE get ONE piece of gear that you need. And you need an entire god damn set of it if you aren't using crowns shop boots or that one 2% drop rate staff!
YES! The gear was a fucking damn hassle to drop!! And the people on top of it are dumbasses when they want to be! This dungeon is a fucking shit show and king isle needs to do something about, because the drop rates are fucking insane!
ik this vids a lil old, but it's soooo true unfortunately lol. i always dread doing darkmoor because of exactly what you listed. most ppl there are pretty on edge or straight up assholes for no reason. honestly i dont even farm darkmoor anymore, i open chest instead lmao. devs should rlly fix the team up system or add to it, allowing you to team up with people that are farming the exact same boss. i honestly dont even why they havent done that :/
Honestly, if everyone is patient, is open to being a team player, and the team is communicating, bad gear wont be such a problem. When Darkmoor came out (before all the nerfs and changes) my fire wizard had WW Hat/Robe and Bazaar Robes+Wand & Deck lmao and a hot garbo pet But I was fortunate enough to be with people who were open minded and allowed me to play as a semi support and a Backup hitter. And once I got a couple pieces of the Mali gear, people were more willing to allow me to hit. Teamwork makes the dreamwork
The gear drop is random just luck based I did thirteen runs on my ice got only boots but on my storm I got hat and boots first run then robe second run
Ive had a few groups like idiots killing the boss, or those few with whackass damage. But most of the part ive had groups that were clean as a whistle, legit finished it so fast we could do many runs in a single day. Always educate on cheats and carry usefull treasures incase like doom, elemental blades or spirit blades. If only we could have good groups always lmao
I have a challenge for you: do a rant for your favorite thing in wiz The rant has to be what is wrong with it Tip in malistaire fight in case you die: Set a port location in the malistaire room as close to the duel as possible DARKMOOR: Dark side of the wiz community
So many times I've ran into hitters where they pack their deck with a million cards when they only need like 10 (because support takes care of the rest). So when the group tells the hitter to hit and they say "Don't have it up" I'm just like, "what do you mean?!?". Either you hit with your rank 5 shadow spell or your AOE rank 7 - 9 spell (depending on school). This one time my team up group had a myth as the hitter and he had so many blades and traps on the boss ready to hit. He couldn't because his hand was all mystics and he didn't get a shadow pip for like 5 rounds after all the blades and traps were on. He could of easily of used Orthrus to kill the boss and the minions. Then to top it all off after getting a shadow pip, he dies on the round he's going to hit. I swear I never flee'd so fast in my life.
That’s so freaking funny dude I did the Druid storm boss on my storm and this other storm wiz had a lot of blades on and had frenzy and shadow shrike on so HE die the round he was gonna hit 😂 I could not stop laughing that night we killed the Druid thou because the storm got re blades and yes he said he’ll hit I was giving him storm blades and I was putting storm dispels on the boss it was heck
Tbh being flexible as a team is very important imo. Me and my family/friends would always team up together because going with random people is a horrendous idea. We just have a set plan that can be altered depending on the situation. Like sometimes we'd have a wizard who just has great hit stats but if they can play a support role, they'll do it and just let me hit even if I'm a myth wizard and they're a better offensive school. Teamwork is key.
Plus tbh playing the support roles is really fun, sometimes less stressful and is just as important as the hammers. Idek why many people just wanna be hammers thinking that it's the coolest or most important role.
Like, I'm myth, a freaking offense school, but I literally trained stuff like elemental blades specifically for places like Darkmoor. I use shatters, earthquake, mystic colossus, etc to break shields. Every member of a team should just try to find their suitable role regardless of their school. Having 2 storms doesn't mean that both should be hitters, one of them could just help buff the other one. People just don't see that. Also I think I've already ranted more than you did lmao
Honestly I can understand people not knowing the dungeon. It took me my first couple of runs to understand the cheats fully. I feel like people over explain it sometimes which makes it confusing lol.
I'm honestly pretty hesitant to do my first run of Darkmoor, due to a combination of the fact it will be my first time so even though I've read guides and looked over cheats, it will still be a learning experience. Plus I'm just worried about if I get with people that don't know how to play the game or don't know the cheats. Because I've definitely experienced that in previous areas and it's just so frustrating. Also, earlier today I actually had a friend message me asking about Darkmoor and, unfortunately, I was planning on leaving in basically half an hour, if that, so I had to decline the offer.
Something I’ve noticed is that if you start from the very beginning of darkmoor people will tend to stick around more even if it takes longer since it’s people who aren’t just farming but also questing
10:20 I have this happen to me in Tartarus ALL THE TIME. People only fight Cronus with you, and then LEAVE. Like, I physically cannot fight the Big Three without at least TWO other wizards with me. I could probably pull it off with a LOT of luck, now that I'm level 100 with Malistaire and Darkmoor gear, however, I probably will die by one of the Big Three with only one other wizard with me. It's so frustrating because, if you're not there to help your team out and see it through to the end, then why did you join in the first place? If you wanna grind one singular boss, that's fine. Do that on your own time, don't do it when other people are counting on you. I feel you there, Formal. I feel you.
You would think the storm wizard with 60 damage would allow me, the fire wizard with 111 damage to hit but instead he uses all the feints with no blades and I sit there wondering why I play this game anymore
I hate the max level people who only help you through the 2 bosses and leave at malistaire. They pretend they are afk or disconnected and just disappear and some just straight up leave. The ones that pretend obviously feel some guilt but they still piss me off. With noobs, they at least listen and support you through blades or are meatshields. But these selfish max level players are fricking annoying as hell.
Yeah my biggest problem has been lackluster hitters. I have a max storm and fire so I started a balance to run support occasionally but man the amount of times bad hitters ask me to blade them instead of someone adequate is insane
The site i use to look up cheats to refresh myself on a boss i havent done in a while or to learn about a boss i never done before: wizard101 central It has: the health of the boss Minions of the boss Cheats are in a green box The deck the enemy uses Resist and boost stats Health Outgoing damage on some Starting pip/shadow pip count What they drop Location Quest appearance
How am I supposed to prepare gear wise if darkmoor is where I’m going to get my gear? I was playing as a support so I could get better gear. I did the dungeon 10 times, and not once did ppl leave 😎
for the people who kill the boss while you're gone. if you took like 1-2 minutes (I can do it in 30 seconds, so..) then maybe ye, they're bad people for not waiting. but if you take 5-10 minutes to get a few wisps and refill potions then that'd be on you. Now, idk how long you did actually take to get the wisps and potions, but I'm just putting this out there that people can't stall a battle with a 30 second time limit for 10 minutes.
I had a balance in one of my darkmoor runs, the balance had a jade set on, we had a myth also had a jade set. The myth told the balance to just blade our fire and the balance just because the myth told him that he only bladed himself and the myth. In the Shane fight he only used heals and in the malistaire fight he tower Shield almost every turn and used power play when the myth used doom and gloom. Why we stayed with him I don't know.
I literally refuse to keep doing Darkmoor for my robe because of the actual trauma I’ve gotten trying to get to the very end with Malistair. It literally can take HOURS to complete with people constantly leaving and/or refusing to cooperate.
Please make a rant about farming in catacombs please. I can't be the only one that had such a TERRIBLE experience farming for dragoon gear. Not only was the reagents for the gear take forever to get and the drops are so low, but the people there are so toxic like seriously, every player you mentioned here in darkmoor is exactly the same as people you farm with NOTHING CHANGED. People fleeing or teleporting away if we don't have a storm on our team (most of them are wearing full dragoon gear anyway), even max lvl people with FULL DARKMOOR GEAR are too scared and can't kill the 1st mobs with 3k health. Btw I spent my time farming the abandoned house for reagents and thats supposed to be the EASIEST boss in catacombs and people are exiting out or teleporting away in the team up i waited 5 minutes for. I thought to myself so many times that I should just quit farming because the people there were really getting on my nerves.
Man, you tell me about all of these different people I gota tell you about someone. The person who researches everything, looks up videos of the different fights and how they should play out, and repeats this process until they have it down in their head. Then they go to the first part of darkmoor; the wiki open in the background with various tabs of the bosses and their cheats... And then they get cold feet because they don't want to be a detriment to their team, and then decide to go play on a different wiz. Me. I am this person. 😥
I felt the pain here. I know a lot of teams leave if there isn't a pain hitter, fire/storm etc. Because the dungeon is so hard to do without high damage hitters
I remember that there was a new Storm Wizard, like it's his first time in the dungeon. And we were in a team with two other Wizards. The two other Wizards left. And I hated to tell the storm wizard that groups are normally like this.
I ran Darkmoor for the first time today and some level 150 fire wiz god mad at me for blading myself after he told me to blade him even tho I was a life wizard 💀
I only have 2 or 3 things wrong with darkmoor. #1. people leaving after yev. #2. People who don't freaking enchant their hits and make their deck short. lastly #3 People who don't give a fuck about what you say during the dungeon when you're trying to help them
Doing darkmoor graveyard dungeon was literally heck for me when I was farming malistaire sometimes people leave witch is understandable for the first boss because of the best athame in the game some people rage quit I remember I was on my fire wizard at the time and I told my team I’d help them do malistaire but one player left on the fifth round of the zombie boss witch was unbelievable but I let it go and on with my day 😐but darkmoor is my favorite area/world but I rarely do it now a days I only do it to help new players and teach them the cheats so they can learn and get the hang of it
One thing i hate, mainly in general, but it happened in darkmoor, is that there are a lot of storm wizards that think they are the bomb. I was asking a storm person to buff fire in the Malistaire fight, because fire had more hp, more resist, guaranteed no fizzle, etc. The fire wizards stats were overall better than storm, but nope, storm saif that because she had the higher damage, she should be the hitter...it was just us 3 at the time...so we almost lost because she fizzled on the turn she was hitting, thus wasting 4 turns and about 6 blades, and she died numerous times while fire died once i think....if you are a storm, just remember: in the end you might not be the best suited for being a hitter, just because you have a little more damage. I will also say that more likely FIRE would be doing more damage overall than storm, like fire dragon for example, 540 initial and 435 overtime, for 7 pips...975 damage for seven pips....that's way more than storm lord, granted storm lord has the stun, but the stun does NOT make up for almost 300 more damage, maybe 200 ish but not 285...
Darkmoor sucks because lots of people will just leave after the first or second fight which makes farming the Malistaire gear difficult (it's still one of the better items in the game, specifically the robe, for most classes).
lol i'll be honest,i always put all the stuff i need myself cause i don't trust others,it's sad how much you need to coordinate some people, and that applies to many dungeons, just imagine a magus wizard just spamming rank 1 spells in mount olympus....
I've never come across any people like this in Darkmoor at all lol. Guess I've been lucky. Always get solid teams for under 30 minute runs. Done almost a hundred runs and never had anyone leave either.
4:02 actually in the time ive been looking for a video to explain how each part of the dungeon functions ect I find that ANYTHING valuable is buried in stuff like this, which from what youre saying I feel I agree with you. Its probably one of the most toxic dungeons ive tried to run ever and the nature of speed runs only really just sucks the fun out of it makes me not even wanna play wizards, especially shit to try and force someone to play "your way" if it works okay and is still countering cheats it should be fine shouldnt be the end of the world that you dont want to 3 turn everything.
Honestly the gear thing doesn't really bother me if they're a support school since you don't really need to hit, just blade up the hitter and feint and trap, it is bothersome if they try to hit with 40 damage 😅 I hate the ones that don't listen and don't want to play as a team or flee.
My biggest pet peeve is the people who join team up and just leave. If your gonna team up and leave do it fucking alone ot find your freinds. I thought tartus was fucking annoying finding a team in tartus that was doing full or wouldnt leave. This takes the goddam cake
I dislike people who are against new people who don't know the rules, or don't have the best gear in the game. Y'know, the people that critizise people for not farming constantly for the best year instead of enjoying the game. also the people that flee and have temper tantrums if not everyone knows the exact cheats and has the best gear are literally the worst. also a few things 1) noobs are a thing, don't criticize people for not being the best of the best or having inferior gear. Not everyone has the same knowledge and its crazy to say that only having something like Bazaar gear is not good enough. 2)sometimes killing is literally the only option. id rather only me loose out on gear but have everyone else get something instead of having to set up and do the boss again. 3) Deaths at level 100, without having loremaster spells are not as good of a hitter as storm. its understandable for them to ask you that. dont be salty you picked the wrong class for hitting.
Thank you. They really kill the fun. They love to criticize but only offer poorly typed explanations and get mad when there are communication gaps. People forget that they were once new. I recently started playing again and have been disappointed by the amount of people being so uptight. Who wants to be hounded for their gear while FARMING FOR GEAR? I don't have tons of money to spend on game gear or hundreds of hours to farm. I wish they'd let people just play and be helpful.
i did helephant tower last night with a death wizard, (im a fire wizard) a storm wizard joined us and after the first battle he teleported out and never came back. the two of us beat it eventually but it was so frustrating because we needed the help.
Done this dungeon for several years on several characters and let me tell you, when me and my significant other each play 2 accounts, darkmoor takes at most 30 min, when I team up with other people, 2 hours. To me, the strategies to employ for success seem so obvious once you know the cheats.
Team up needs a better quest/ farm system. I'd click quest and it'd put me with a group of people farming Yvengy or Shane. It got so bad trying to get a group that I had to ask in Discord and get a group together that way :P
From someone who has done darkmoor on two wizards over the course of a couple months I’ve had so many runs ruined by life’s hitting with forest lord and ruining all of our set up
Yesterday i did a darkmoor run and we were in the final boss. Malistaire was in his shadow form with 10k health and me (balance) and a death needed to flee and we told the storm we were going to flee and when we come back he killed the boss :) it really annoyed me, we literally told him we were fleeing and he said "he didnt think he was going to kill" when he had blades and malistaire had traps on him of course he was gonna kill him tf
I’ve ran this damn dungeon so many times, and haven’t gotten ANY pieces except for the boots, and I got the boots a long time ago, ever since then, I haven’t been able to get any of the pieces. Even when I’ve stayed alive for the loot rolls with Malastaire, and still, the pieces WONT drop.
Just finally finished my Darkmoor grind and I just wanna comment on a few things. (Oh also I've been farming for about 2 weeks, on and off, bc I kept getting bored after like, 5 runs, and went off to quest... In all I say it took about... 30-40 runs to finally get everything? I had insanely bad luck.) 1) Hi, I'm someone who got to Darkmoor with Bazaar gear. How, you ask? Idfk, I never thought about grinding for gear before, I've been very casual and lazy with this game since I was a kid. Now that I have it, though, it is quite nice. But I didn't wanna grind for new gear before since I was already so close to lvl100 and it wasn't worth the time. I got through Darkmoor using team-up and I let the ppl know beforehand that I'm new, have never done this dungeon before, but that I have the cheats open on my phone. Thankfully the group was very understanding and were an AMAZING group! 2) Thankfully I've never gotten anyone who kills the boss without you, we always stalled until the person came back if they died. Not a single person 3) I've actually never had anyone actually assign what people are gonna do. Everyone volunteered. Except right before Yevgeny, we would usually compare hit stats and whoever had the highest number, regardless of school, was the hitter. I often volunteered as buffing and secondary hitter. 4) Okay I did have a bad run where everyone said they were doing the full dungeon, we fought Yevgeny, I went on to Shane, waited.... everyone left Thankfully I only had one more runner in all of my runs, and the rest of us was able to the rest of the dungeons. Besides that, we always ask who is doing the full dungeon, who just needs Yevgeny, and if whoever just needs Yevgeny are willing to do the full dungeon. If they don't, we just all accept we're just doing Yevgeny if we feel we can't do the rest. Besides a few runners, I had a decent time. They're just tedious battles. Maybe people have just gotten more chill about Darkmoor in the 3 years since this video was posted. Either that or I got insanely lucky with who I teamed up with.
"I'm not going to flee and come back cause I wont get good drops rates" "yea you got this on your own" 2 people in our group died on purpose and then continued to tell me what to do. I would have fled but this other girl was trying so hard and it was her first run. On top them using my feints on wand hits, this run went on for 3 hours and I just didnt want to go again. Dont be losers like these guys.
15:27 you and me have the opposite luck, man. The hat seems to be the only thing I can get out of there. And I’ve went in there and farmed quite a bit for the week that I had left in membership.
Been a while since I've farmed Darkmoor (seems like a dream now, or nightmare depending on how you look at it). Do people still wait outside the Graveyard sigil for storm wizards and jades to come along to be recruited into their team? God, doing Darkmoor on my myth was such a pain compared to my other wizards. I didn't have jade gear, and no one wanted a myth on their team.
To be fair, the cheats on yevgeny and malistaire are round-based, so waiting for someone to come back when it’s the last turn before it becomes really hard to kill the boss can be understandable. In those situations, the person dead can just stay dead on the sigil and still get drops at the end of the battle.
on my first run had like 2 max people with us and 1 storm my level, so we got through the first 2 bosses super easy after learning the cheats, then the two max guys go "afk" leaving me and the storm waiting. Then we got sick of waiting and went into the boss just us two (taking 5 years to kill) turns out those guys left when we went into the fight
i always despise whenever i have to do darkmoor and drains. no matter what without fail every single session you will get at least ONE person that has no idea what theyre doing and ignores every bit of advice youre giving. i have a few horror stories but here are the worst ones for both dungeons Darkmoor: a myth with 60 damage decided to hit malistaire with a warhorn, wasting the only indemnity feint the team had Drains: me and 2 other teammates were prepping for 2 round strat (i was hitter). Life decided to blade himself r1. We tell him he was supposed to feint. He was like "ok" and picked feint r2. We told him to change the spell but he refused. Safe to say everyone left.
"Blade Me"
"Who has Doom?"
"Full?"
"I can spam"
*people leaving after Shane for some reason*
Why is it always after Shane?!
In my experience they leave after YevGeny
They leave after Shane cause they just went to farm keys.

The worst people are the people who don't use doom because they think you wont kill boss.
I did that before but in my defense he didnt think he was gonna kill the boss either he was using wraith

one time, i went through the whole boss with three hitters, me one of em, (3 storm). malistaire was at about 2000 health. boss did aoe killed us all except for the one myth. we came back to find out he killed the boss BY HIMSELF. idk how someone could suck so much
Oof dang that is an ahole
As much as I LOVE Darkmoor, the amount of noobs who somehow made it here is ASTOUNDING
I know right?
They got carried fr fr
I hate when people drop their waterworks gear for the tier three darkmoor gear that butchers all your other stats. Whats worse is that some don't even get the malistaire gear, they get the tier three and then just continue questing with sub 60 damage
Reggie lol yea it really irks me to see people with the darkmoor knight armor and helmet. Waterworks and Hos are literally better than that.
yeah i was in mirage fighting scorpion recently and a myth had 58 damage but luckily me being a storm with 160 damage i could solo it and she was really just a meat shield
"The group that will kill the boss without you". Sounds like loremaster101.
The amount of times a storm asks me to blade them up (I'm balance) when they only have 60 damage is INSANEEE
;(
As an OG storm wizard, can people stop making storm wizards!!! All I see at higher levels is storm storm storm and it's so gross. But the only reason I say is cause I think people make a ton for storm cause they think I'm storm so I'll always do most damage and hit so yeah... I actually enjoy supporting if it gets us the win idrc

@@afj810 I think Ice isn't too bad. Life is toxic unless you get a kookaburra early for the 4 pip all hit
i’ve literally had this problem with every dungeon... even in waterworks people decide to just leave after the first mob fight or don’t say that they’re only doing the first boss? seriously i can’t deal with these people
Worst people.
YES!! I tried to farm waterworks for nearly 2 hours and couldn't do it fully because everyone kept leaving!
The reason people don’t say they are only doing the first boss is because otherwise the people who want to do a full run will leave, meaning their only option is to just lie :/, sucks that those people don’t suck it up but it’s whatever :/
i personally think the people who are looking to get carried by visionary wizards are commonly the most annoying type of people
Definitely very annoying
I'm one of those people but I still try to prepare and help for the fights, and I only want higher levels in hopes they have better stats to make farming for gear not as long and tedious
@@anon-ud9mq Sometimes when I'm farming something like Mirror Lake, I'm sitting there on my Level 76 Balance while everyone else is Max, and I feel so out of place, but no matter what character I am or who everyone else is, I'm gonna be damned if I just sit there and be handed everything and make them do all the work. Even if it's just a blade or heal, I'm helping dammit.
Right oh god and they are so bad most of the time.
It's always myth

Andrew Richter yeah ikr Tartarus is also mad toxic
I did tartarus with max friends and got hades staff
I’ve done the dungeon probably around 40 times on my life and all I’ve gotten is the hat and the athame. I’ve basically given up at this point
It's okay! I'd just wait for dragoon robe for life since you probably don't need the damage
@DeviNNoisE any tips for death? I’ve ran the stupid dungeon about a million times and all I’ve gotten were the boots and athame.
Darkmoor... Yuck
I have so much problems with this dungeon.
It sucks that these problems are so common
Yeah I feel for that. It’s hard to find people who just want to do the first fight and the key boss so I end up doing full cause I don’t want to be rude.
My favorite thing to do prior to darkmoor is craft the khrysalis gear. It’s better than waterworks gear.
I hate when I team up and the people who teamed up wanted to do Aphrodite
“I have no friends.” Dude, I felt that. Much love to ya💜
Mannn facts asf, id rather have a life with 110 damage hit than a storm with 60
After experiencing many people leaving during Waterworks reaching Darkmoor honestly scares me
honestlyyyy waterworks was tragic
ik this vids a lil old, but it's soooo true unfortunately lol. i always dread doing darkmoor because of exactly what you listed. most ppl there are pretty on edge or straight up assholes for no reason. honestly i dont even farm darkmoor anymore, i open chest instead lmao. devs should rlly fix the team up system or add to it, allowing you to team up with people that are farming the exact same boss. i honestly dont even why they havent done that :/
Those people that say "plant boss" when u go in 😂
Or the ones that say they’ll do the whole dungeon but leave after the first
Edit: lmao I commented this before getting to that part
This video is perfect timing, I've been farming all week and you've covered every reason I can't wait for this to be over.
For anyone farming Darkmoor, I will stay with you throughout the whole dungeon :)
Honestly, if everyone is patient, is open to being a team player, and the team is communicating, bad gear wont be such a problem.
When Darkmoor came out (before all the nerfs and changes) my fire wizard had WW Hat/Robe and Bazaar Robes+Wand & Deck lmao and a hot garbo pet
But I was fortunate enough to be with people who were open minded and allowed me to play as a semi support and a Backup hitter. And once I got a couple pieces of the Mali gear, people were more willing to allow me to hit.
Teamwork makes the dreamwork
The gear drop is random just luck based I did thirteen runs on my ice got only boots but on my storm I got hat and boots first run then robe second run
Yea it is pretty random
No worries tho. Ice all you might want is the boots and maybe wand. I plan on using my tons of exalted krok and bones duels when my ice is 100
Only took my storm 700 years (with crowns) for the robe...
@@masteryoda3136 it’s been a million years and all I’ve gotten were the boots and athame. That shit don’t want to drop
Bruh its the worst when the person with weak gear wants to hit.
Well I'm happy for you then
I have a challenge for you: do a rant for your favorite thing in wiz
The rant has to be what is wrong with it
Tip in malistaire fight in case you die:
Set a port location in the malistaire room as close to the duel as possible
DARKMOOR: Dark side of the wiz community
good idea :)
First time I did darkmoor was on my fire. Got hat and robe. Didn't realize how lucky I was until 10 runs in
yeahhhh
Yeah that shit doesn’t drop I swear
I’m barely a level 95 storm and I’m dreading darkmoor bro, you covered every single aspect as to why it’s a PAINNNNNNNNNNN 🙄☠️
This video is pretty well timed, I've started farming darkmoor after reaching lvl 100 on my storm and it's just been... so painful
I just ran and beat tartarus with 3 other level 90s....who didn't know what feint was and never played it.
there was a fire wizard on my team. minotaur fight, he has 30 damage and played sun serpent, didn't enchant it and took my feints.
MY GOD
FormalPhantom when I heard you say sun serpent with no boost whatsoever I was like that happened to me too!
Something I’ve noticed is that if you start from the very beginning of darkmoor people will tend to stick around more even if it takes longer since it’s people who aren’t just farming but also questing
this is why i made two accounts and i use both to help teams that need a person that would do them right
you are a kind person
The site i use to look up cheats to refresh myself on a boss i havent done in a while or to learn about a boss i never done before:
wizard101 central
It has:
the health of the boss
Minions of the boss
Cheats are in a green box
The deck the enemy uses
Resist and boost stats
Health
Outgoing damage on some
Starting pip/shadow pip count
What they drop
Location
Quest appearance
Honestly thank you for taking the time to do that
Yes people say during the dungeon that you need the perfect pet and your gear sucks is basically the normal.
How am I supposed to prepare gear wise if darkmoor is where I’m going to get my gear? I was playing as a support so I could get better gear. I did the dungeon 10 times, and not once did ppl leave 😎
you got lucky then
so he has to spend extra money wow
Waterworks minimum I’d say is proper gear
bro i had an entire team with 3 noobs and they went straight in and told them to flee and they kept saying why and no and i got so pissed off
That’s why for dungeons like this you don’t do the one thing we all know not to do...team up with randoms Lmao
for the people who kill the boss while you're gone. if you took like 1-2 minutes (I can do it in 30 seconds, so..) then maybe ye, they're bad people for not waiting. but if you take 5-10 minutes to get a few wisps and refill potions then that'd be on you.
I like doing solo to get a feel, then team up if I can't do it solo
I had someone leave me in Mirror lake, and I was so pissed.
I ran Darkmoor for the first time today and some level 150 fire wiz god mad at me for blading myself after he told me to blade him even tho I was a life wizard 💀
THE ATHAME DROP RATE HAS TO HAVEGOTTEN NERFED OR SOMETHING. SHIT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO GET
I only have 2 or 3 things wrong with darkmoor. #1. people leaving after yev. #2. People who don't freaking enchant their hits and make their deck short. lastly #3 People who don't give a fuck about what you say during the dungeon when you're trying to help them
your deck should be short long decks makes the dungeons painful as people dont pull the cards they need your deck should be around 1-2 rows
Doing darkmoor graveyard dungeon was literally heck for me when I was farming malistaire sometimes people leave witch is understandable for the first boss because of the best athame in the game some people rage quit I remember I was on my fire wizard at the time and I told my team I’d help them do malistaire but one player left on the fifth round of the zombie boss witch was unbelievable but I let it go and on with my day 😐but darkmoor is my favorite area/world but I rarely do it now a days I only do it to help new players and teach them the cheats so they can learn and get the hang of it
I feel you dude
God I miss this game I remember playing as a 10 year old having the time of my life. Sadly, I can’t play anymore.🥺
I spent a month in Darkmoor grinding gear on account of my really bad luck. It was categorically torture.
I remember how difficult it was to find someone to do the dungeon and everyone always said how great Darkmoor's gear was.
I used to do Darkmoor a lot when it first came out. Now years later I don't do it anymore and I've probably forgotton 90% of the strats lol
lol i'll be honest,i always put all the stuff i need myself cause i don't trust others,it's sad how much you need to coordinate some people, and that applies to many dungeons, just imagine a magus wizard just spamming rank 1 spells in mount olympus....
Disappointing to say the least
I've never come across any people like this in Darkmoor at all lol. Guess I've been lucky. Always get solid teams for under 30 minute runs. Done almost a hundred runs and never had anyone leave either.
I’m so lucky I didn’t need to do darkmoor more than once
Whattttt! How?
dang.
He prolly just needed the boots cuz he had the bone robes and Krok hat
That’s what happened for me at least
I had Rattlebones and Krok hat
The worst people are the ones who force the group to do Aphrodite 2
because for storm and life he drops insane athame and energy gear for everyone aswell
Y'know, the people that critizise people for not farming constantly for the best year instead of enjoying the game.
also the people that flee and have temper tantrums if not everyone knows the exact cheats and has the best gear are literally the worst.
also a few things
1) noobs are a thing, don't criticize people for not being the best of the best or having inferior gear.
I felt so bad coming back to the game at level 100 not knowing any of the rules. Like an anchor 💀
i did helephant tower last night with a death wizard, (im a fire wizard) a storm wizard joined us and after the first battle he teleported out and never came back. the two of us beat it eventually but it was so frustrating because we needed the help.
Done this dungeon for several years on several characters and let me tell you, when me and my significant other each play 2 accounts, darkmoor takes at most 30 min, when I team up with other people, 2 hours. To me, the strategies to employ for success seem so obvious once you know the cheats.
When I run darkmoor with terrible people I tend to post my darkmoor experience with them on reddit and expose the player.
your doing a good thing sir
Darkmoor got so annoying and also the people that if i make it to the end i just hit the chest to not go through the hassle again
When your dark memories of Darkmoor from years ago all come flooding back 😶😶😶
If you need an additional wizard for Darkmoor, let me know 😬
Just finally finished my Darkmoor grind and I just wanna comment on a few things. (Oh also I've been farming for about 2 weeks, on and off, bc I kept getting bored after like, 5 runs, and went off to quest... In all I say it took about... 30-40 runs to finally get everything? I had insanely bad luck.)
1) Hi, I'm someone who got to Darkmoor with Bazaar gear.
Not a single person
3) I've actually never had anyone actually assign what people are gonna do.
"I'm not going to flee and come back cause I wont get good drops rates" "yea you got this on your own"
2 people in our group died on purpose and then continued to tell me what to do. I would have fled but this other girl was trying so hard and it was her first run. On top them using my feints on wand hits, this run went on for 3 hours and I just didnt want to go again. Dont be losers like these guys.
It was the robe I had trouble with, I got the hat my first run
15:27 you and me have the opposite luck, man. The hat seems to be the only thing I can get out of there. And I’ve went in there and farmed quite a bit for the week that I had left in membership.
Been a while since I've farmed Darkmoor (seems like a dream now, or nightmare depending on how you look at it). Do people still wait outside the Graveyard sigil for storm wizards and jades to come along to be recruited into their team? God, doing Darkmoor on my myth was such a pain compared to my other wizards. I didn't have jade gear, and no one wanted a myth on their team.
I think people still do that just not as much
To be fair, the cheats on yevgeny and malistaire are round-based, so waiting for someone to come back when it’s the last turn before it becomes really hard to kill the boss can be understandable.

Phantom : Heyyyy what is up guys! 😃
One of my worst experience in darkmoor is my connection losing when boss is killed 😭
i always despise whenever i have to do darkmoor and drains. no matter what without fail every single session you will get at least ONE person that has no idea what theyre doing and ignores every bit of advice youre giving. i have a few horror stories but here are the worst ones for both dungeons
Darkmoor: a myth with 60 damage decided to hit malistaire with a warhorn, wasting the only indemnity feint the team had
Drains: me and 2 other teammates were prepping for 2 round strat (i was hitter). Life decided to blade himself r1. We tell him he was supposed to feint. He was like "ok" and picked feint r2. We told him to change the spell but he refused. Safe to say everyone left.
