Just finished up Wintertusk. I needed help with the final dungeon and both my companions were Ice, I was a Life. It took us 2 hours, but I’m very grateful to them for helping me especially considering what they had to go through in Wintertusk being Thaumathurges
It's pretty rare to die in wiz, even when soloing, but if I went by the worlds I died the most it'd be Aquila, and Winter Tusk, and Catacombs. I think dying is a pretty good indication of a worlds difficulty so that'd be my top 3. That aside I agree with everything on your list. Maybe you could do a list on major dungeons difficulty Darkmoor, Water Works, Zigzag, helaphant tower etc.
You keep popping up in my recommended daily because I keep watching your new vids daily and you’ve been so consistent, finally back into wizard101 after over a decade and you’re one of the best wiztuber for TRUE low levels. Truly earned a sub keep it up!
All of these rankings change drastically if you’re someone who does all of the side quests like me and you’re level 60 and have full waterworks gear by the time you finish dragonspyre
I’ve been playing Wizard101 since May 2012 and i can say that the worlds that I struggled with the most were definitely Azteca and Khrysalis because of the fact that before the health nerf, Azteca Bosses had around like 15-20k hp and back then, players weren’t really as strategical as we are now, also the world is SO DAMN LONG like Azteca is the only world in Wizard101 that made me take breaks from the grind, and Xibalba was extremely hard back then with Malistare’s Universal Resist being much more of an issue back then. Khrysalis has bosses with 18-24k hp and the world was much more enjoyable than Azteca but also much more difficult off the fact that there really isn’t any type of gear upgrade until you get to like the Sardonyx which is in part 2 of Khrysalis but by that point, Khrysalis becomes like a Literal boss rush and whole ass mega dungeon and the fact that they start off the battle with 10 Pips and automatically hit you with something like Storm Owl, Tempest, Medusa, or even Earthquake like it’s so damn aggravating. I’ve soloed like around 70-80% of Khrysalis and i’ve died a good amount of times, the final battle with morganthe was a little bit Underwhelming but overall, Khrysalis is by far the hardest world for that level even now.
Doing wintertusk right after ravenscar was the hardest for me on my underlevelled wiz. I just finished Khrysalis part 1 and it wasn't one of the hardest worlds until ghost dog.
Also for solo king gobblesmack or with friends, use ur 4 pip shad to kill 2. Since when you kill one or 2 u take 25% of your hp for each one you kill. Then when u kill the first 4 u just aoe and your home free. Any life wizards reading this tl:dr just guardian spirit
My favourite world is definitely Wintertusk, I absolutely adore the challenge. But I hate Khrysalis because of how repetitive it is, how much health the bosses have, the difficulty is about the same as Wintertusk, maybe a bit easier, but the way Khrysalis implements that difficulty is super annoying, Wintertusk does it perfectly. Plus, Wintertusk had that novelty of being the first really difficult world in Wizard101, a world that you enter at a level that feels too low for it, where the very first enemies have mechanics that you might not have even unlocked yet, this feeling of shock and awe that you get fighting things using abilities you've never seen before, things that are literally just normal enemies, not even bosses, and they just beat you into the ground in the most satisfying way, I could gush about it forever, it's so damn good. Khrysalis's shadow spell introduction tries to capture the same energy but it just comes too far into the world, it feels less like you're stepping into an area out of your depth into a deep unknown, and more like you've already been here for a while slogging through and there's finally something interesting to break the artificial monotony.
i soloed mount olympus on a lvl 40 death wizard 7 times to get the full zeus gear. tried soloing it lvl 30 but lack of access to aoe made it hell especially when it came to ares savage spear and his cheats. used scarecrow tc to beat it, damn u death school and no access to aoe till lvl 48!!
My personal list would be: S : Catacombs Azteca and Empyrea. A : Khrysalis Mirage Wintertusk and Aquila B : Celestia Avalon Dragonspyre and Grizzlehiem C: Zafaria Lemuria and Karamelle D: Krokotopia Wysteria and Polaris E: Mooshu and Wizard City F: Marleybone.
Before I watch: imo, the hardest world to do at the level you’re suppose to isn’t necessarily a world. Mainly just bosses but Darkmoor is probably the hardest area/pseudo world at the level you’re suppose to do it at. As for fights, probably Omen stribog and probably tower of the helephant. You should rank main fights based on difficulty Mainly just main bosses +key bosses + side bosses ifykwim
Also, soloing Atlantea on a storm wiz is a nightmare. His Atlantean Trierarchs like to stun you, and mass storm prism is a must to get around his 80% resist to storm damage. And it's a 4v1
Also, as for Khrysalis difficulty, super early on it isn’t too bad. It gets difficult as it goes on but once you get your Darkmoor gear... I think its too damn easy (depending on your school of course) but thats just my opinion.
Thank you for this I couldn't find the reason I thought Khrysalis was easier then Azteca but this is why in Khrys you get the Darkmoor Gear and Shrike for real solid pierce, Azteca is the longest world away from a gear checkpoint so you feel weaker on most schools I think, I honestly think just with Shrike Azteca would be so much easier with all the duel ice/ defensive school type bosses
I think this makes a vastly different list depending on the wizard played. I soloed 90% of the game as my fire wizard i thought Azteca was extremely easier than celestia and i most certain would put mirage above grizzleheim and wintertusk.
With the spell audits going around, I'm curious on your opinions on new cards that you (or some you've seen from the community) have made or ideas for spells that could help different schools in PvE. (i thought of an enchant that gave -200 but adds hit-all)
Polaris should ranked as low as Mooshu I've blown though it with both my storm and my balance until the last boss, but if you go in with the right mix he's a snap.

The thing about khrysalis is only part 1 is more difficult than azteca part 2 is probably A or B tier because by the time you reach part 2 you should be level 100 so you are able to get malistare gear which makes khrysalis a breeze once you have it. Also the rat nowadays is a joke on my life i went in with a storm and we beat him within the first 8 rounds he is super easy now
Is tartarus really considered to be that hard? I farmed it on my storm like a year ago and didn't have much difficulty even when I only had 2 other level 90s with me
Gobbsmack and Abberant Paradox definitely are difficult, but they are only two fights in the world. I think that Karamelle definitely can get difficult but the vast majority is really easy.
I really enjoyed Karamelle. It was easy, yes. But the length was above average (it took me 10 hours, which is longer than ever arc 1 world) and the story was fantastic, and probably my favorite writing so far.
Devourer is not hard he is just a badly designed boss. You have no agency. I cleared all the bosses in catacombs first try with randoms in 6 rounds. So I wood not say it’s hard at all. Otherwise mostly fine.
Being an Ice Wizard in Wintertusk was absolute hell

Zafaria as a world was easy in general but as a solo player the mirror lake dungeon is really difficult for me personally
I think what makes celestial hard is the massive jump from dragonspyre

the 4 boss battle at the end of the grizzleheim is hard solo! I only play solo I had to get help

if you still have waterworks gear and a 0 damage pet you know its gonna take long needing so much blades and feints to kill a boss

played azteca and khyrsalis recently tons of bosses with 16k health in azteca I would argue as a death azteca is much harder
Khrysalis is def harder than azteca In terms of bosses but azteca makes me want to uninstall the game because of how boring that world is

It’s not immensely difficult (darkmoor level). But I would consider it hard enough to be that high for newer or less dedicated players.
do you solo the final dungeons in such worlds aswell when your soloing? Just wondering since I just started soloing.
I have before, yes. But I would recommend using teamup if you feel like you can't solo it.

In my opinion azteca is lightly harder that khrysalis and I find both of them very easy
Karamelle should be higher up...some bosses are hard to solo...bundozer..quacker...king gobbsmack..cavity chamber etc etc etc

You unlock Wysteria at Level 25, not Level 20, so it's even easier. ;p

Very easily. With the accuracy of a low level you can quite easily fizzle 3-4 times in a row and there’s nothing you can do about it.
as a balance wizard, mooshu was awful for me.
Imo azteca was harder then khrysalis. I had a little harder time soloing azteca. Khrys I soloed the whole thing

Darkmoor isn’t really a world, it’s more of a side one-off area. but that would be top tier, yeah.

karamelle easy? every boss does 200 % extra damage for no reason , i just get one shotted
