I was in a band with Howard when we were in our teens. His musical talent and versatility were absolutely phenomenal even then. Clearly, I speak with some authority in observing Howard is from another planet. The bottom line: Thank goodness he's on our side.

The genius talent and unworldly skills of Howard Levy is exemplified when he plays piano and accompanies himself on harmonica. Hard to wrap my head around how much of his brain is being used to create such musical accuracy, physical skill and playing talent on two very difficult instruments - at the same time! The piano performance is unmatched. "Lips and fingertips". Also the amount of practice time involved....let that sink in. I love this recital and love Howard. Thank you for sharing this video!

The sheer practice involved- it must have taken a lifetime to work up these pieces! I've never heard a harp played in octave, with bent notes, and played chromatically like that. And Happy Birthday, you amazing man!
