Black colleges in the US needs to be more open to black countries. If they were, you would know someone directly or indirectly involved, you wouldn't necessary be reminded of them through ads like these mostly. It would be in the fabric of black culture to be educated by an HBCU and start contributing to society. Most good schools in black countries could use the leadership of HBCU.

May I ask why its an issue that there's need at all for a black college? Or why could a president could go so against a group of people? I'm from Germany and we don't have the separation. I see no sense in it why the color of a person still makes so much difference here. I mean as long you have no interest in someone, the look of a person doesn't change anything.
It’s a historically black collage. It was a collage black people had to go to because of segregation. Anyone of any ethnicity can join a hbcu.

How about investing in education in Louisiana and Mississippi were the children are doing bad in school due to the quality of the educational system. Even better how about you give the parents the power to choose private schools and charter school instead of the government giving your taxpayer money to the bureaucratic school unions.
Talladega should have said no to the Trump administration on their band playing. I hope they were prepared for the backlash that came with it. He had the nerve to say recently that he has helped the black community more than any other president. Besides the apathy of our president, another reason that HBCUs are in trouble is because of low-quality student acceptance. I have been a mathematics teacher for 25 years and have taught in predominately all-black high schools. These predominately black high schools basically have predominately all-black teachers and all-black school administrators. HBCUs basically get their students from these predominately all-black high schools. To get to the point, these all-black teachers and black administrators are failing to educate their own people. They don't care about them. They allow these students to act, dress and look any way they want with no boundaries what-so-ever in their behavior. There is no discipline at these schools. As a result, HBCUs get their students from these all-black, low disciplined, low performing high schools, and then, as a result, the four-year graduation rate at many of today's HBCUs are at 10% or 14 %. That'very, very low for continued existence. Also, the video news piece didn't mention the on-going corruption that is taking place at many of today's HBCUs. The corruption and incompetence are unbelievable. So yes, there is apathy on our president's part, but there is also apathy on the part of black educational leaders who have full control over educating and preparing black students for tomorrow. All I can say to sum this up is, nobody really cares about black people, not even black people. Nobody really cares about them especially with all of this gun violence and everything. From my experience in teaching and what I have observed what black administrators allow to go on at their schools is, they set very low standards for behavior and dress as a result of students being poor and the destruction of the black family along with either having absent parents or parents having either an arrest, jail, or prison record. How could HBCUs survive when their feeder schools operate with such low quality of today's black students? You won't hear about this in the news media because everything is hush, hush among black people as usual about anything and about what really goes on in education today. Times have really changed.
👏👏👏👏 finally, someone sees what I see. I think as a community we need to be put under the microscope and have all the imperfections exposed starting with the black household, and how everything is upside down. There's no leadership in the black home because most of our own women have opted to let the government be her husband therefore pushing the man out the door perpetuating the cycle. Black men are dying in the streets on a daily bases because they searching for validation of manhood, because the vast majority of them are raised in single parent homes because of this etc etc etc. I know that this will never be discussed, and the vast majority of our own only care about dancing and social status and in HBCUs and clout chasing in the streets.

HBCU's exist because of racial segregation.
African Americans were not allowed to go to White Colleges so they had to create their own.
Other races were and have always been welcome to attend Black Colleges and Universities.
The ONLY reason they're called Historically Black Colleges and Universities is because Historically they were created for Blacks to have somewhere to go to receive an education... something Whites obviously didn't want.
