Great video mate, about to get Dobinsons kit on Prado, was recommended 50mm lift front & rear with Airbag Man airbags in rear, as load will vary a lot from school runs, to fully loaded with fuel/drawers/50L fridge etc in rear, to this plus trailer with 1300kg ATM, go on lots of corrugated roads, occasional technical track. They suggested the bags to allow levelling out when rear-heavy. What do think of after-market airbags?Thinking now I might ask for 40mm instead of 50mm at front. Keep up the great work, love the vids.
Great video thankyou, how reliable is the rear air bag suspension on the prado kakadu?
Great advice Anthony!. Luckily i did exactly what you recommended when i did my 40mm lift. May I ask a question? When i drive on sharp rapid corrugations, i hear a knocking sound from somewhere in the front. Could it be the shocks bottoming out? What are the symptoms of bottoming out the shocks? Many thanks!
I carry a 120kg motorcycle on the back of my Prado with medium sprung coils using spring helper air bags. BADABING!
Hi Anthony just brought a new 2021GLX prado with engle fridge in the back and towing a 16-ft caravan and would like to travel on beaches do you know of a place I can take my car to have the suspension altered to suit I live in Brisbane qld regards mark
I lifted 5 cm my 3door prado2011 with ironman gas coil and shocks! It looks ugly!! I wear 265/60/18. Help..!!
Hello Anthony. Love the lift video. What lift would you recommend for my 95 series with intention of touring. Has rear has draws, battery and fridge, flat rack and rooftop tent and solar panel. Front has alloy bull bar. Presently stock suspension.
Kind regards Rolf
I have installed 30mm wheel spacers after a 2 inch suspension lift on Prado.
The wheels are still stock.
I have 3 options.
Should I get -12 offset and remove spacers?
Or
Keep spacers with stock wheels
Or
Get -12 offset and let the wheel spacers be there..
Spacers are illegal
Hey mate what exact lift suspensionkit should I use for my Prado 120 2004 GXL ? Would appreciate it if you can take me through it mate cheers
Check my playlists Suspension information
from my experience cars to low to stanard get more damage out on the tracks
Did I see you on the Musta Fishing vid the other day?
Pls suggest- I have a Prado 150 with stock tires (265/65/R17) and stock suspension. I want to take my Prado to Sand Dunes. What suspension and wheel size I should be having?
Get a Dobinsons 2 inch lift don’t change any wheels and tires for sand
@@Fourby4Diesel thank you so much..also can u tell which dobinsons would be ok like the monotube or the one with reservoir?
my drive is max like not more than 4 hours in sand dunes.
How do you black out the rims?

what tyre size you use on the prado?
265/65/17
To be honest the Prado and the 200 are just too low for me, raising it over 2 inches causes a lot of geometrical issues. If you want to go higher than 3 inches better just sell it and buy a solid axle.
What tyre size are you using please??
Keep watching videos standard size
Great info as normal. Some Touaregs (and others) have air bags that allow raising and lowering the vehicle on the fly, sometimes by several inches. Now I don't believe the exotic European vehicles are appropriate for the outback, but front and rear air-bag aftermarket offerings would be great for Japanese 4x4's - but they have to be tough and they have to be appropriately installed with strengthening plates etc. so they don't stuff the chassis. In addition they would need to be autolevelling, regardless of weight distribution and therefore raise or lower the vehicle correctly and to appropriate limits for type of suspension and its safe articulation range. Just my thoughts on the matter.
