That must have been a very traumatic experience for your Father. With due respect, I'll leave you this to consider. In my state seatbelts used to be optional, but helmets were required to operate a motorcycle. Currently the law mandates you wear a seatbelt and is heavily enforced and backed by a heavy fine. Wearing a helmet while operating a motorcycle is optional. Makes perfect sense, eh? Because, our elected Representatives are so wise and keep getting reelected.

I worked in pipeline construction for many years and there was, of course, many steel tracked vehicles involved. We crossed highways and railways using old tires. When crossing highways, a few men would lay tires on the road for the tracks to ride on. Then as the vehicle moved over them we would pick up the tires from the back and quickly race to the front and lay them down again and repeat until we were across. For you, 1 or two tires on each side would probably be enough.

@@wintron I used to raid the dumpster at Victor Balata West in California and it was a gold mine of perfectly good scraps and off cuts for crafting many things.

Hi Lars! I appreciate your well balanced and sensible perspective on parenting. That military crawler thing is way cool : )) The Russian forest looks awesome in winter. Congratulations on reaching 200K subs recently! ATB to you and yours.

In the US we call that a "salamander", using for thawing plastic pipes. You see the a lot in construction sites to keep things warm.

Thank you Lars, it is always a great video when you are out and about in the tank, I saw for sale here in British Columbia, in western Canada a tank that looked very much like yours but I am not sure, they said it was a 1974 with low hours on it, the asking price was $25,000 Canadian that is $19,000 US.

I love watching you drive the Gator...that's such a great machine Lars...and I also find it perfect that you take the Pink Ninja with you...forget what some people are saying, you're doing a great thing for your kids by teaching them all sorts of stuff! 👏🏻👏🏻
Btw...just got my first Silky Gomboy and I'm loving it...it's an awesome tool!! Thanks for your tips. 😎

Everything looks very safe. That dog running next to the gator made me think back to my old husky cross and how he would run on the logging roads in BC Canada next to my truck. Great video.

Lars in the US generations of us grew up riding on tractors in all sorts of weather or packed into the back of pick up trucks, sitting on the sides. Your assessment of life and growing the kids up is correct. Don't listen to the safety nuts.

Better to start them young when they're keen than hold them back and stifle them. Great Zod I learned to drive when I was 9 or 10, just not on public roads. Your ninjas will be the better for what you're showing them.
