Watch Pastrnak on the OT goal. He hands off the puck, circles around and then takes off into the zone. He knows that puck is coming off the boards right to him. It’s a set play and they executed it perfectly.

There is so much going on.. on that goal! First, Lindholm is contested.. second, he needs to get inside Leafs zone before Pasternak.. third, the pass needs to split two defenders.. and bounce off the boards just right for Pasternak to gather it in.. that goal will never get old!!!

Yup. It does feel like only yesterday. I remember it well. I was ten years old and in the room next to our black and white TV and uninterested in hockey. My parents had the game on because--well--it was the only channel we got and they were waiting for the late news. Someone was yelling a lot (Foster Hewitt?). If only I had known what a unique point in history that was, I might have wandered in to see what it was all about.

Lindholm knew EXACTLY what he was doing with that puck when he got the backhand pass from Pastrnak who then blasted down the right side along the boards! GREAT play!

Leafs defenders sleeping on the job only a minute into overtime. How Pasternak skated around the Leaf's defenders was priceless and pretty at the same time.
And this is the same Pastrnak who said during the all star break “Good for them, they needed some wins, they got one”. Poetic justice right there.

This was one of the best game 7's I've ever witnessed ( series too ) . The adversity the Leafs had ( no Willy for the first 3 games ) down 3-1 with no Matthews ( won both to force this game 7 ) both combine for the opening goal then Pasta cooks in OT . Damn if this isn't what playoff hockey is all about I don't know what is . What a ride these two teams took us on .

The worst part for Leafs fans is that things now will get a lot worse for them. Those five bad contracts are all but unmovable. They don't have a roster that can compete for the Cup. Boston is a shell of its former self and still beat them. Florida or Carolina or the Rangers would have murked them. They don't have a coaching staff that can compete for a Cup. Their upper management is lost in space. Brutal.

As a Leafs fan, there's always a part of me that hopes they win, but going into game 7 I also had a huge part of me that wanted them to lose. I just didn't want them to win the series and then somehow use that to justify keeping Keefe. He's a good coach that produces excellent results in the season, but his system is absolute trash in the post season, where teams can change up their system to counter yours. Don't know if the next coach the comes in will better, but rolling the dice on getting something better is better than sticking to something proven to not work.
I'm already excited for off-season moves.

@@JarradBruessel32 Ya, watch his attempted save at the end of game 6. His right leg was pinned in an exceptionally awkward position as he stretched for the save. I was really surprised he got back up as quick as he did, that's a torn ligament most other times I've seen that.

Bruins fan since 1977, predicted the 2011 cup win and the negative Bruins fans mocked me, this year I predicted the Bruins win the first two series against Toronto and Florida (grudge match) in 6 games, don’t know yet about the third round series against Carolina it will be tough.
