  • Hi guys at this time i have restored a Rusty vintage pipe cutter in a cool way to entertain you guys. The cutter was too rusty and i find it from scrap store and it wasn't easy to restore it.
For removing rust i used HCl and it was concentrated and this dangerous chemical is capable of corroding skin, paper, metals, and even stone in some cases. So, be very careful i don't recommend you to do it.
After 5 minutes of rubbing steel wire brush i dried the parts and ready to paint with my favorite color after painting i also baked the painted parts for 20 minutes at 100 degree Centigrade after that the result is in front of you.
Please support me to restore more antiques your support makes me more interest. Also tell me for more better restoration if i can do it and Please Like,Subscribe and Share with others Thanks!

Just a tip: Before reinserting pins for reassembly, place the pins in a freezer for a few hours. You'll find the pins are much easier to reinstall

Great tip. I have one of these pipe cutters that I bought second hand years ago that I would like to restore but the threaded part is seized. I have tried different penetrating oils and heat from a propane torch and a MAP gas torch but it won't break free. Do you have any ideas on what I could try? I even tried transmission fluid and acetone mixed 50/50 still nothin'. Would soaking it in muriatic acid damage it?

Отличный труборез! Все думают, что "болгарка" лучше, но только до тех пор пока рядом есть электричество. Очень понравилось. Привет из России! Great pipe cutter! Everyone thinks that the electric cutoff is better, but only as long as there is electricity nearby. Loved it. Hello from Russia!

I appreciate your efforts and end result. Still i world suggest few things. Dont mind.
    1. Before painting try to mask slide rails with tape and try to keep it bare
    2. Use bench wise to hold karta
    3. Lubricate pins and rollers, cutter before assembly
    4. You can use simple bench mount wise to insert pins. It is easy.
Again i appreciate you work. Keep it up.
