Tom's voice: he literally destroyed it for rock n roll. I wanna say it was like 1992 that he had to have multiple surgeries because he actually paralyzed his left vocal chord with his unrestrained, powerful singing in concert. He still performs, and I think he still brings the power, but he prioritizes taking care of that precious powerful voice.
His voice is truly one of a kind. Despite the amount of incredible iconic voices in rock, it is still Tom's voice that particularly stands out. He makes this song so unique.
If Cinderella had been ten years earlier or five years later than they were they would STILL be a big band. They just fell at the wrong time and got lumped into the "hair metal" genre. They were really more of a heavy rock/blues band. When the hair metal genre fell it unfortunately took bands like Cinderella down with it. Tom Kiefer is a genuine talent.
The look on your face when you said "Is that the car?" was priceless!! The 80's fashion was crazy. Lol. Tom Keifer has an incredible voice and definitely not bad to look at!! hehe
Rest in Peace Jeff Labar , the guitarist from Cinderella passed away. Great memories and thanks for sharing your video! I'm glad you liked this song too, I grew up listening to this song and I love Cinderella! Thanks again !🤘🏾❤🎼
@@andreadeamon6419 Not recently, but I just heard his new release and it's sadly not good anymore. His vocals have suffered greatly. But that happens when a singer gets older The only one who still has killer vocals from the 80s, that I know of, at 68, is Robin McAuley of MSG. He's an exceptional singer still!
Great group. “Discovered” by Bon Jovi and mixed great lyrics, amazing vocals, and strong instrumentals to be one of the best glam rock bands of the 80’s.
Cool video! You just got a shout out from Fred Coury(drummer) for this video on Facebook! My brother did sound for Cinderella, I've seen them live several times, Tom has an amazing voice!
Yes, Tom Kiefer started my lifelong love of long haired men, all the way back in the 1980s! This is part of a series of videos with the same girls. Remember this is the Cinderella, the main girl is like a Cinderella character, and the two outrageously dressed girls are the wicked step sisters.
Welcome to one of my worlds.. 80s hair bands.. costumes, excess, scantilly clad rick chics with big hair and theatrical vids and performances... lol I was in my teens during the 89s
Tom's vocals are unique. That style of singing where it sounds like you are straining your muscles has to be tough to do stye-wise and shorten a singer longevity. The crazy part is toms voice in a lower register is like melted butter
My personal favorite Cinderella song (and a great one if you'd really like to hear the vocals, guitar, and emotion at lvl 9000) is Long Cold Winter. Very bluesy and gorgeous.
Seen this Band three times. Amazing. Last time ( 1989 ) I was in Arizona and flew to Nashville to see them play live open air. Metal Fan from the UK...
Great to hear a young lady totally appreciating Cinderella and Tom Keifer's amazing talents. One of my favorite songs. Growing up in the eighties we were like who is this band "Cinderella" and I'm guessing many didn't take them seriously due to their name, unfortunately, but nothing can take away their contribution of great metal, ballads, hard rock, & fun songs, whatever you wanna call it, that they gave us. Great guitar parts too, just flow nicely together in the song. Chilling vocals!!!! It's like nice calm, but unhappy Tom at the beginning, then out of nowhere, like a volcano 🌋 erupting: "It's time you REALIZE!!!!!!" Holy sh$# ! Where did that come from ??? My favorite part of the song, plus the build up of the two guitars to Tom's vocals when the girl was running in white. Just perfect! Where are all you eighties metal girls??? Hottest around.
Oh my god I’m so happy you get to experience what we enjoyed in the 80’s I was 14 when Cinderella came out Tom super talented singer, guitar player and song writer very underrated
They all graduated from Juilliard...Tom, the lead singer was diagnosed with cancer of his vocal cords. That's why they stopped recording, I actually know all of them! Tommy is a very beautiful man even now💗💗💗💗
Yeah right after my dad stopped being his roadie. Tom caught up with my dad on his freer time and said “Guess who’s better looking then you” as my dad had a ego back then lol
Love me some Tom. Seen them multiple times and got lucky twice with backstage passes, they never got the recognition that they truly deserved, His voice, face and eyes are so damn hot then and now.
There were a lot of over the top glam rock bands in the 80's that were shit. Cinderella, Tom Keifer actually had talent. Another artist lumped in the gram scene with an enormous amount of talent is Jani Lane. The band Warrant is a great listen as well. Yes they have cheesy songs but they are a talented group
I’ve always been a huge fan of the band Cinderella. Tom’s voice is freaking beautiful (even now after all he’s been through) and he’s just a gorgeous man. Love them so much
Cinderella was the shit. Tom Kieffer on the vocals and lead guitar also plays piano is hella talented. Lookup Don't Know What You Got Til It's Gone by cinderella
I totally forgot how good this song was. I got my handy dandy guitar ready here to re-learn it. Pretty easy all based off of "A" minor. Thanks for picking this song. Its going back into playlist. A song I forgot about rediscovered. I saw Cinderella live back in the day. All the cool memories come back when bands like this were on the charts.
Love your reaction! I'm so glad you reacted to them. We need more reactors to do the same! Bon Jovi, Ratt, Poison and the list goes on and on.....they don't get enough recognition anymore!
Remember I was 18 got into a club in jersey, 1985, they were playing, for back then it was well deserved, they worked hard, no jovi helped them but if they weren’t good enough they wouldn’t have been signed, that’s tommy Kiefer, Jeff labar RIP!😇
This style of rock is very melodic and Keith’s voice is dramatic yet like no other. He sings with deep passion. This is One of all time favorite video songs. Thanks for reviewing this classic video song. 😃. Yes they were playing live three years ago. I saw them at a local Indian reservation casino. Unfortunately something was gong wrong with his voice it was a short show.
One of the greatest songs of the '80s. ( Side note ) - 'Cinderella' is another way of saying someone is an 'Outcast'...because the character Cinderella was cast out of certain parts of society. ( The members of the band Cinderella apparently felt that they were outcasts...like so many felt to be during the '80s because of the attitudes of others in our society during that time.)
Nobody's Fool was one of the big power ballads back in the day. Pretty much, all the hair bands had at least one power ballad.
Yes they did my favorite from my favorite band is the scorpions still Loving you in my opinion.

Cinderella's 'Shake Me' or 'Gypsy Road' would be next if you want more of them. :)
And Somebody Save Me.
Shelter me. It's actually deep.
Nights Song is great intro by Jeff,, I only had 2 album casette Long Cold Winter & Still Climbing (1995) but lost😖😖
Gypsy road is a great song
Their song coming home is amazing. You can really hear his range.
Excellent song
Cinderella was pretty awesome back in the day. Their music is still awesome. I'm gonna request Sister Christian by Night Ranger.
Yess!!

Saw them live twice. He sounds just like that.
My sad use to work for them as a roadie for about 2-3 years lol Tom was a nut I was told

Tom has powerful vocals and he still has it. Don’t forget about those lips!
Lips so big that even Mick Jagger says, "You got some big lips bro."
Oh Lord, even today the man is gorgeous and with those lips is a humility that's refreshing. Love Cinderella and especially Tom Keifer.
Great group. “Discovered” by Bon Jovi and mixed great lyrics, amazing vocals, and strong instrumentals to be one of the best glam rock bands of the 80’s.
Such a great song... you should watch the live version in Moscow in 1989
