As Gen X'r I have to 💯 agree. Unless you lived it and went to all the concerts, you'll never understand . We had a hell of a decade as teens in the 80s
I saw these guys back in the 80s and it was a high energy show. I remember when they played Long Cold Winter the stage was light up in purple lights and there was a snow machine above the crowd and it snowed on both crowd and stage during the entire song.....very epic.
I seen them at an outside venue in Ohio… the same as this one as this one. But they were with Bon Jovi and smithereens.. and long cold winter was with Bon Jovi, winger and Bulletboys.. Cinderella fucked them up!
On July 14, 2021, Jeff LaBar, lead guitarist with dark hair, has a purple scarf around his neck was found dead in his apartment at the age of 58. I had zero problems saying that he was an alcoholic. I live in Florida now but I am a Philly girl & a rocker!! I loved going to the Empire Rock Club in Philly!! Just before I moved to FL in 1985, I met the band Cinderella at the Empire!! Really nice guys!! During the part of this video in the recording studio, the drummer has on a t-shirt from 95YNF which was the rock station back then. The group was founded by Jon Bon Jovi & Richie Sambora of the rock group Bon Jovi!! NJ rockers!! The 2 groupie girls run into the arms of Jon (jeans jacket) & Richie!! I love watching the look on your face when you see these videos! RIP Jeff!! All of my favorite musicians are now rocking in heaven!!
Your eyes lit up the same way everyone’s does the first time they hear toms voice. Welcome to the obsession darling. Keifer was in a league all to his own during their prime
That is a Riff-Rock Radio tune at it's best. That continuing guitar hook throughout the song is infectious and keeps your foot tapping. Great singing and lyrics. Rock On!!!!
Yes I saw them open up for Bon Jovi,I loved them..it was funny though because at the end Tom from Cinderella came back on the stage with Bon Jovi for an encore and he was so drunk he could hardly stand, still sounded great though.
I'm watching your reaction video today July 28th, 14 days after the death of Jeff LaBar. Thanks for giving their music a chance and loved your facial expressions :) And in case you don't know your hair bands, the two women ran past the Cinderella band mates to Bon Jovi hahahaha
Your interpretation is on point. The song is about being trapped and trying to get out. It’s life in general and the bad advice we get from others around us...family, friends, etc...that had led to questionable decisions and frustrating results that cause feelings of being trapped and subsequent crying out to be saved. Great song. Great reaction. Love it!
That and when he’d toss his guitar to the other guitar player (his name escapes me) those spins and tosses were epic; my grandson loves how the drummer spins his sticks and is learning how to do it himself. YES all 3 of my grandkids listen to the 80’s!!
I think the song was originally about them wanting someone to "save them" from the machine. While everyone thinks they want it they don't necessarily like the loss of control over their own lives that comes with it. As a former musician out here in the LA meat grinder I've seen it many times.
This is one of those LP releases that doesn't have a bad song on it...que it up, and let the needle drop. (And, you were born in the wrong decade...you woulda fit right in)
First time I ever saw this music video was in an episode of "Beavis & Butt-head". Awesome, rockin' song and the ladies running past Cinderella and right up to Bon Jovi was really funny.
You're going to have to listen to Gypsy Road by Cinderella. It's been overlooked by many reaction channels that have been doing metal and rock songs from the 1980's and 90's.
Tom Kiefer had major surgery on his vocal chords, which happens a lot to singers with that register, and he is just a shadow of his former self now in looks but especially his voice. And it makes me devastated cuz I was mad for that boy back in the day!!! smh Seeing them LIVE was one of my greatest memories of many concerts I went to. Especially partying with them in 1991 and then ironically years later in 2011. It was crazy!
Always wanted to nibble his bottom lip 🤤; he’s actually very shy (and sweet) and quite soft spoken. My friend got to meet him and Def Lepard on a rock cruise about 6 years ago
Nothing like Hair/Glam metal back in the 80s best years of my life. Concerts ticket were cheap we saw all the bands back then. Car stereo blasting in my old 76 Cordoba.
I liked this video when I saw it was Cinderella. Terrible band name and COMPLETELY underrated band. Keifer's voice.... When he sings the blues especially. Just... Man. I love this band
Thanks for bringing your bright personality and playing some cool songs from my generation, the 80s. I think this song is talking about escaping the pressure of the expectations put on us to live up to what society says is successful. Anyway, peace and God bless
check out some songs from cinderella's cd 'Heartbreak Station.' And there is one hit they had from their fourth cd Still climbing called 'Hot and Bothered.'
My dad met them in Philadelphia in 1987 and worked them till 1993ish, his last will call though was in 1995 in Alantic city for security. He’s on the back of the night songs album as “Mr groovy” my dad is 63 today.
Chris, you're close. Britney Fox formed after Cinderella. The keyboard player. He's one of the blondes in the video, the one that is shown in the studio, but not in the live stage shots. His name is Rick Criniti. He left Cinderella, after their debut album released, and joined with the other guys to create Britney Fox.
At the end of the video the girls run to Jon Bon Jovi and Richard Sambora if the band bon Jovi. Jon Bon Jovi discovered Cinderella. This is one of their very first hits
Body Joe was an okay band, but I liked them better in Bon Jovi. Bon Jovi actually got better when they replaced Richard Sanborn with Ritchie Sambora. Jon Bon Jovi sure knew how to pick Richards!
Não entendi nada do que diz, mas A M I G A A A A as caras que vc fez de espantoforam exatamente as mm que fiz qdo vi esse vídeo pela 1ª vez. Amo esse homeeeeeem !!! 🤍💗
I could play the entire "night songs' and 'long cold winter' beginning to end without skipping, they could do no wrong in their prime.
Truer words have NEVER been spoken!
💯
They didn't make a bad song
A d both times I seen them with Bon Jovi… they out rocked them.
Hell fucking yeah!!!!!!
The 80s was the absolute best time to be alive and the energy and fun in the music proves it. Love Cinderella
As Gen X'r I have to 💯 agree.
Unless you lived it and went to all the concerts, you'll never understand . We had a hell of a decade as teens in the 80s
I’m so glad you discovered Cinderella! The 80’s were just stupid fun.
Yes they were !
I would have loved to experience the 80s
I saw these guys back in the 80s and it was a high energy show. I remember when they played Long Cold Winter the stage was light up in purple lights and there was a snow machine above the crowd and it snowed on both crowd and stage during the entire song.....very epic.
Same!
He came down from the ceiling in a platform playing a grand piano
@@tonidh69 yea did same thing when i saw them. dam good show.
I seen them at an outside venue in Ohio… the same as this one as this one. But they were with Bon Jovi and smithereens.. and long cold winter was with Bon Jovi, winger and Bulletboys.. Cinderella fucked them up!
“They keep singing like that somebody’s going to have to come save me” ...priceless! Love your channel!
The guy the girls ran to was actually Jon Bon Jovi, lol
Yeah I think the story goes that Bon Jovi actually gave them a break in the industry back then. 🤔
I thought the lady would know who bon jovi was.
@@frankrizzo4460 Yes first concert I ever went to was them and Bon Jovi
Okay I’ve seen enough - you would have been a hair band chick back in the day. A fisherman always sees another fisherman from afar. \m/
✌😎🤘
Cinderella kicked butt for a few good years . The guitar playing by Keifer and Lebar was just phenomenal !!!👍👍👍
Brittenham wasn’t exactly asleep at the wheel:…….loved Brittenuam and Lebar’s guitar spins and tosses…..epic
Jayy
80's bands are making a comeback recently even though Metallica hasn't stopped. I am speaking of Cinderella and others.
This makes me happy! 😃
The 80's were sooo much fun, the fashion was horrible, but the music and the concerts were amazing.
The fashion back then was still better than the skinny jeans in fashion these days!
@@frizzyred1292 Skinny Jeans were MASSIVE in the 80s. Skinny leather pants - leopard pants, skinny denim…
@@katanagrrl Not so much the skinny jeans, I certainly remember the skinny leather pants and the other stuff you mentioned.

That is a Riff-Rock Radio tune at it's best. That continuing guitar hook throughout the song is infectious and keeps your foot tapping. Great singing and lyrics. Rock On!!!!
I`ve been enjoying your videos. Please check out Cinderella - Gypsy road
Richard Towell definitely! “Long Cold Winter” is in my top 5 albums
I was just about to mention that song as well. I haven't seen or heard any reaction channel I watch do that song yet.
That was Jon bon Jovi and Richie sambora from Bon Jovi. Cinderella opened for them on their first tour
I saw them when they were opening for David Lee Roth. They were great. DLR... Meh.
Yes I saw them open up for Bon Jovi,I loved them..it was funny though because at the end Tom from Cinderella came back on the stage with Bon Jovi for an encore and he was so drunk he could hardly stand, still sounded great though.
I always heard Tom didn't drink or do drugs
My favorite band from that era!!!!

Well, I mean, you're forgetting KIX..

It’s life in general and the bad advice we get from others around us...family, friends, etc...that had led to questionable decisions and frustrating results that cause feelings of being trapped and subsequent crying out to be saved.
Great song. Great reaction. Love it!
They have so many songs that are so good! Very talented.
Girl lmao, when you said somebody gonna have to come save me, I lost it
I knew the guitar spin would get you lol.....Eric Brittenham was such a stud with that move
.
He was! I saw am interview where he says he once dislocated his shoulder doing that move. I could watch them do that over and over!

i've always loved Cinderella they got lumped in with the hair bands and they were so much more than that.
"Lumped in"? They were the poster child for it! Lol.
I love how you immurse yourself in the videos, it is special what you do
Saw them at the Rocky Point Pavillon in RI…in ‘86ish loved the 80’s
Your reactions are priceless. Love your channel. 🤘🏼✌️🔥❤️

Cinderella was the best contribution Jon Bon Jovi gave to Hard Rock!!! 😉
I'd say that Skid Row was up there, too.
Pls listen to 'Coming Home' by Cinderella. I think you'll like it.

My favorite band - still

I saw them with Bon Jovi and had never heard of them, but WOW was I impressed. Please do some Poison. xoox
They’re one of my all time favourites and I wasn’t even born when this was released

hair bands of the 80's
Listen to some DIO. Great voice.
You would be the perfect person to take along to some 80s concerts!
Thank you!!!!
Gene Simmons found Cinderella but he got no Record Contract for the Band Jon Bon Jovi did it the rest is history
Summer of 1986, what a blast
One of many 'power rock' jams I'd record on vhs/vcr off the likes of MTV back in the day. Nothing compares to 'BOOMER' music.
Seen them in concert in chattanooga when I was a teenager, was awesome
My dad met them in Philadelphia in 1987 and worked them till 1993ish, his last will call though was in 1995 in Alantic city for security. He’s on the back of the night songs album as “Mr groovy” my dad is 63 today.
Another great band that sounds very similar is Britny Fox please react to Britny Fox Girlschool.
Don't forget "long way to love". That song jams

The empire rock club and the galaxy were awesome times
Now plzzzzzzz do shelter me from them as well
That's how it was in the early 1980s
It was in late 80s.
Bon Jovi is old and gray now, he finally stopped using the hair dye, lol!
Cinderella does not get enough respect Tom Keifer was kick ass and Cinderella was kick ass that's the '80s right there
It's hilarious to watch the reactions of the beebop head banging rapers when they hear some actual music & not just noise.
