These guys always stood out because of the way they integrated blues riffs into their songs. They did this even more in “Bad Seamstress Blues”
All true
Saw them 2x in concert. So good
NOW THIS IS MUSIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Being a teenager in the 80s was really cool.
Glad I was too
Cinderella was such an underrated band. Their blues mixed with metal was so good. Easily one my top 5 bands of that era
Saw Cindarella Open for BON JOVI in 1986 in Knoxville Tenn. AWESOME CONCERT!!!!!!!!!!!!
As a Generation X'er who is going to be fifty next month, I started listening to Cinderella in 1988 and have been a fan ever since. Saw them in concert in May 1991. One of my all time favorite bands. Their first two albums are must have's for anyone who likes good '80's rock. Cheers from northeast Ohio.
The concert they did with Tesla opening for them. If you recall snowflakes fell from the ceiling while the piano is being lowered for Long Cold Winter. What an epic performance.
Might as well throw in album three as well. I think the first two are definitely better front to back but Shelter Me and Heartbreak Station are both must-have, fantastic songs and One For Rock and Roll is easily my favorite Cinderella vibe song. Dead Man's Road is great swampy mood music.
@@davidcollins897 I remember being somewhat disappointed in Heartbreak Station when it came out, boy was I wrong. I think they were really just trying to go back to the good old roots of Rock and Roll in the vein of the Stones. It was like they could see into the future and saw the end of Glam/Hair Metal coming and tried to reposition themselves.
When I saw them in May 1991, they had Nelson and Lynch Mob as the openers. For the finale, all three bands were on stage to do "Brown Sugar". It was a great concert!
@@russcarvertruthjedi259❤ I saw that concert in Phoenix at an outdoor arena! It was awesome to see it snowing in the desert and to see that piano coming down from above the stage! Great concert! 🎸🌵🎶
Cinderella has a lot of great music!!
Gypsy Road is a must watch for Britt
You do you Britt. We're behind you 110%.
1968 through the hmm, I say the mid-90's was considered greatest era of Rock n Roll, in the 80's it broke off to so many Genre's, Bands Like Cinderella, Ratt, Motle Crue was considered Hair Bands, Bon Jovi called Glam Rock, W.A.S.P and Alice Cooper being shock rock. W.A.S.P would be a reaction I recommend for you, the song is an iconic one if you haven't heard it yet , title " Wild Child"....song is solid but the open line in the lyrics, "I Ride, I ride the winds that brings the rain, a creature of love and I can't be tamed", young lady I was hooked on that song since then...those words just felt so right!!
Don't know if she could handle WASP.
The difference between Cinderella and some of the other metal bands was their ability to mix heavy metal with blues, one of my favorite 80s group ❤
As others have mentioned about how Cinderella worked blues into their music this is actually true of most rock music they just took it an extra step. AC/DC had a heavy blues influence as did Rolling Stones and many others. When I first started playing guitar after learning the obligatory 0-3-5 (Smoke on The Water) someone showed me the blue's scale. This opened up the rock guitar doorway for me! I would just noodle on the blue's scales until my fingers couldn't do it any longer while building up those calluses.
Evey girl wished they could teleported like that. Such a great time to be young. Love Cinderella music.
I miss the big hair also, it looked so good on the ladies.
Cinderella
Nobody's Fool
Long Cold Winter
Falling Apart At The Seems
Somebody save me, Gypsy Road, Push Push, Coming home.
@@frankrizzo4460 Gypsy Road for the win!
Rocked out to them in my high school years! This is a great song on a great album! Long Cold Winter, the album after this one was great too-a lot more blues sounding.
August 26, 1986. Mid South Coliseum. Memphis, Tennessee. They opened for David Lee Roth on his eat 'em and smile tour, lol. I was there. I may have been chemically and medicinally augmented. But I remember it was a GREAT damn show!
I'm definitely biased, but the 80's was the BEST decade for music. The "death" of Disco and then the birth of Hip-Hop plus Rap. R&B and Heavy Metal came into their own along with Speed Metal and Thrash. MTV and the Hair Bands went hand in hand. OG hardcore rappers blew up in popularity. Grunge popped up in the latter part of the decade. And, MTV's Headbanger's Ball along with VH1's Hip-Hop Countdown etc, were "must-see" TV every week. Simply put, it was just a great decade to be a teen or in one's early twenties. KISS was still selling out shows. Journey, Michael Jackson, Madonna, and U2 were on top of the music world. Also, I'd be remiss not to mention the hardcore "binge" partying we all did back then thus helping the decade earn the moniker, "The Eighties of Excess." The attitude towards drugs and alcohol was wholly different (apart from the First Lady at the time Nancy Regan's "Just Say No" boosht campaign). And, back then, Cops kept for themselves more seized drugs, money, and other illegal stuff than they turned in. Apologies for the ratchet-jawing...IF anyone actually got this far reading.
I Love Cinderella saw them with Bon Jovi in 87. It was the best concert of my life. Singer came out and slapped my hand. I was so excited. They Rock.
I saw them during that tour, because I'm a huge Bon Jovi fan and I've seen them five times. I've seen Cinderella twice, once with Bon Jovi and once with Tesla. They were a great band and they definitely learned how to perform while they were on tour with Bon Jovi.
Vancouver here, where Bon Jovi recorded Slippery. Bob Rock came out for an extra encore jam session.
I saw them in the same tour, but the sound went off during Shake Me. They went off stage, once the sound came back up they played a different song.
Yes! Underrated band. Great vocals. Met their singer, Tom Keifer, during my honeymoon. He was really nice.
Hell yeah! Rock it girl 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
You need to play Somebody Save Me!! Great song! ❤
Agreed.
RIP Jeff LaBar A very underrated guitar player.
You were born the year I graduated high school. Cinderella was my jam, then and now! Great reaction.
I Love this song!!
i graduated in 88, 80's were the absolute best. gen x 4 life!
Cinderella is my favorite 80's hairband, but I still love them, Tom Kieffer is a GREAT TALENT/ MUSICIAN
Of all of the great 80s songs, this one from Cinderella is in my top 3. Absolutely rocks out. Britt, your reaction is great.
More Cinderella all the time
Cinderella was a great 80s band. You should hear Somebody Save Me, Gypsy Road, or for a change of pace Heartbreak Station. All awesome tunes
And yeah Tom Kiefer has a very distinct voice
Hey hey thanks for doing my suggestion I knew you would love it it's straight '80s I grew up on this and yes I knew you would love the fashion
Tom Keifer is a triple threat singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist.
Cinderella discovered by Jon Bon Jovi one of my favorite 80s Hair/Glam bands. Love their song Shelter Me it pokes fun at the Tipper Gore nonsense of the mid 80s
Saw this band at MOR in 1987. Was at Donnington in the UK. They were really cool. xx
In 1986 my best friend and I played Cinderella on cassette habitually. Our cassette player was a Cuda muscle car from the 70s we cruised on .85 cent gas 24/7. Up and down the main street 1000 times or parked under the river bridge drinking a few Budweisers. It wasn't bad kids.
Totally awesome 🖤
Tom Keiffer(lead vocal and song writer) blew his vocal chords with the way he sung. For several years he was in the healing process. He is singing again with The Tom Keiffer Band.I was so relieved when his voice was restored and he could sing again.
Saw these guys so many times back in the 90s miss those days when my hair was down to my waist 🎸
I got their first album on cassette in 1986,
Great Reaction!!! Miss the days when the hair was big and the music was loud. We used to blast them in the school parking lot.
LOVE CINDERELLA!!!
I saw Cinderella in concert in Savannah Georgia in 89’ and one song, the lead singer dropped from the top of the stage (above the lights) down, playing the piano and it was so cool!
Yes. Saw them on that tour in Shreveport, LA. Awesome!
@@shanedesselle2590 Yes!
I just made a comment about that show. I'm in Savannah! I thought it was 88. I still have my ticket stub! Will have to look LOL! Yep! April 15,1989!
@@pumpkinhead34 I think I have my ticket stub too, along with the Aerosmith ticket stub from 1990, I was stationed at Fort Stewart at the time.
Was at the Aerosmith show too!
Want to talk crazy? We did our hair like that for school ...dozens of cans of AquaNet every week, lol! Cinderella were harder edged than the other hair bands, and a damn fine show whenever they played.
Cinderella one of the favorite rock groups of mine. Though when I saw which song it was I felt embarrassed. Of course back in the day I was all in. They have a song titled Push Push, short song but to the point. My favorite is Night Songs.
They had several videos linked together telling the Cinderella story with that girl. Fun.
Love this song as a kid. Didn’t get the lyrics at 12 yrs old but did when I started “seeing” girls a year later. Lol
The 80's had the craziest guitar solos of any decade!!! But most of them sounded the same!
You Must Do More Cinderella!!!👍👍👍🤯🤯🤯
I used to have this album back in the day, when i came out in 86. I would blast it all the time. Check out the title track night songs
The song " Nobody's Fool" is the continued of this video
I saw them in Orlando in 1989. My hearing still hasn't recovered.
other Cinderella songs you should hear are Nobody's Fool, Gypsy Road, Coming Home & Don't Know What You Got
I graduated highschool in 1987. Britt was born in 1988....😪
Cinderella was top 5 rock bands of the 80’s. The singer Tom keifer still out playing with his band. Check him out
Tom did a unique ... vocal layering effect in his voice thats never been duplicated since. I heard Lzzy Hale talk about it.
Class of 85. I saw these guys live in the late 80s. i arrived late and they had already started. It was a hour and a half drive from my house to the concert venue and the awesome hit of blotter i had dropped earlier was just starting to kick in when i walked into the stadium. They were just starting the intro to the song "night songs". It was fucking magical! loved these guys ever since.
Class of '85 as well born the summer of love '67 ✌💖☮
@@SquirminHermanthe1eyedGerman i was also born in the summer of love.
@@someoldatheist6712 right on & I am also some old Atheist
Yea, you get it
Cinderella's always been one of my favorite bands from that era.
Cinderella very underrated band! Saw them in 1988 with Bullet Boys and Winger!
Extremely underrated band. If you want big hair check out Britney Fox.
This track has actually a follow up called "Nobody's Fool", one of the greatest ballads EVER! It's gonna blow you away...
I e been to a lot of live shows over the past 40 years Cinderella was one of the best live bands ever
I saw them when they opened for AC/DC, what a damn concert....
If youre into the 80s fashion, theres a difference from the way the fans for glam bands (these guys) dressed, from G&R fans, from metalica fans, and southern rock fans.
80's were the BEST !!!
Excellent song !
Great band that is often forgotten. Loved their first couple of albums!
Check out more Cinderella like:
Gypsy Road, the Last Mile, shelter me, Bad Seamstress Blues
They even get the cow bell involved at the end.
I remember having the polka dot mini skirt. I do miss the big hair.
My ABSOLUTE FAVORITE BAND!!!! Tom Keifer is the lead singer he sounds the exact same live, and he is soooooo fine
I saw them live opening for Bon Jovi. My fave song is Gypsy Road off their second album.
You need to go down the Cinderella rabbit hole. Excellent band
Rock on Gen X!
One of my fav 80’s bands!
You crack me up! 😂
MY FIRST concert was Bon Jovi OPENING for Ratt 🥰
My favorite band. Never miss them or their solo shows. Same with winger and poison. Enjoy sweetie and rock on 🤘
If you want to see a concert version of this song, Google Gypsy road/Shake me, from a concert in Detroit. Live version is much better.
One of the better hair metal bands. The singer and writer of most of the songs was no slouch. Saw them once.
Youre making me feel old? NOT! haha! My kiddo ' 89.
I did see them open for BON JOVI on the " slippery when wet " tour. Didnt know her mom then but at same concert!
From west coast Canada 🇨🇦, peace.
lol...your reaction was so epic The lead singers voice was unique and a one of a kind. They rock it up and had their own style for sure. Big hair bands is what i grew up to. It was awesome. thank you 💞
Ohh the days of hair metal they are missed, as is my hair
I know hubby is watching, but I'll still say you shook it very nicely. It's not always easy demonstrating rhythm while dancing to hard rock music...Well actually there is a certain kind of dancing that works real well with hard rock, BUT you were demonstrating rhythm in your shoulders, arms, hands, and your head instead of other areas of the anatomy.
Bad Seamstress Blues is my jam ✌💖☮
Great Song
Great Band
So glad you chose this song to start your Cinderella Journey. Tom Keifer is a Frontman’s Frontman
Another wonderful Cinderella song begins right where this video ends with the song Nobody’s Fool. Great Song. A few other Cinderella songs to check out
Somebody Save Me
Shelter Me
You will Enjoy Them
They opened for Bon Jovi at a concert I went to in 87, awesome time to be a teenager!
Great 80s band
Part of the glam-rock
REACT TO
"SHELTER ME"
Keep up the great work❤
HELLO HELLO HELLO
ANYBODY THERE
CHECK CHECK MIC CHECK
LOL HAHAHA 🤣😂🤣😂
Cinderella was one of the first concerts I went too .. Band tee's were banned at school so when I was stopped in the halls for my Cinderella shirt.. The Vice principal asked me is that band shirt, I said naw its a fairytale and walked off.. Grad 91' :)
Great reaction. I hope you react to more glam metal. Britny Fox - Girlschool, Motley Crue - Wildside & Warrant - I Saw Red.
oh gosh yes , let me FINISH !!!
His voice is very much like AC/DC's vocalist Brian Johnson and so is the beat of the song , its on very similar territory if you investigate , you'll know exactly what i mean
Slow boat still get to their destination
For the record. Cinderella is a blues based rock band. They were not a hair band even though they had the big hair. Tom Keifers voice is one of a kind.
Awesome pick. Lots of good Cinderella to get into.
Cinderella has a bunch of great songs. Ballads like Heartbreak Station, Nobody's Fool, and Don't Know What You Got (Till It's Gone), there's straight up rock hits like Shake Me and Somebody Save Me, bluesier tunes like Gypsy Road. Great catalog.
Gypsy Road is an AWESOME song by them.
If you liked this one, there's another video that you should check out, not even for a reaction -- Girlschool by Britny Fox. I swear, you won't be able to tell much of a difference between that one and this one. As a white man who tried to look like this back in the day, I can freely admit it -- a lot of us looked A LOT alike back then. But "GIrlschool" is fun in a way that you need to see to appreciate.
The outfits are so 80s because they were in the eighties!
Tom Keifer has 2 different voices, his gruff rocking voice and a softer one which is really showcased in the song "Heartbreak Station"
Just seen Tom keifer in concert
Quickly. Check out Cinderella song Nobody’s Fool. It begins where this Video ends. You will Love it
