Aside from agreeing with you on everything that you said, just know that character unlock progress does count behind the scenes and it's just a UI issue, has been from day 1 and it's still not fixed lol.

To be honest I think this channel is a breath of fresh air compared to the fanboy or hater channels I keep getting, the main thing with the cosmetics is price point for me, if they lowered the price to maybe 5 dollars a skin and no over priced bundles they would probably make hand over fist as folk would think less those purchases. Another thing is have a camo grind, it would keep the game alive for sure.
ppl tell me that I'm being a hater which baffles me I am not even raising my voice or namecalling or anything I may make jokes about toxic positivity and ppl ignoring the trends but I think they could benefit MASSIVELY by doing some type of overhaul and giving camos for sale for 5$ that apply to all guns etc, adding user created content...I would spend a whole day just making a map in game if I had the ability to potentially add content the community enjoyed, they also need more unlockables to encourage you to spend more time in game and not be so "stat or performance obsessed" as it currently stands the only thing to go for is to beat your previous personal best which encourages using only meta weapons and chasing new players off the game with movement that is exacerbated by the netcode issues
Just a few hours ago I hopped on to do my morning team death matches and one reason I have usually liked this game I get matches awfully fast, but this morning I waited several minutes for a lobby which has been unusual for tdm on XDefiant. I know at sometimes of the day I can’t even get a match in some modes. We don’t know the exact player counts but I think we can tell with our eyes the numbers are down. Another thing I notice often is each lobby lately has the exact same players it just reshuffling which is on what team. While that kind of makes sense since we’re all playing at the same time obviously you would think there would be more variation if the numbers were higher.
yeah it's def down, I noticed it a few weeks ago when i made the video called only sweats or something but it has fallen DRAMATICALLY sense then...and I still play it and enjoy the game, it behooves me for the game to do well as it did a lot for my channel but even the past week my viewership has reduced to 1/3rd of a week ago, but I think it is noticeable there has been a drop off, over time the game will improve, but I think it'll be like warface or something if they are not careful, they need to do an overhaul and possibly drop a LOT of content rather than sticking to the current roadmap because it feels like it might be too little, too late for the majority of players sadly somebody on twitter was claiming they saw an art team member on reddit say there's talks of the game possibly having season 3 cancelled if they don't get enough revenue (not sure if it is true, but they probably do have an ultimatum of performance within a timeline)
I play a lot of f2p games and I agree there’s not a lot of cosmetics seen. Other than the battle pass I honestly haven’t bought other stuff. I’m not against maybe getting stuff but I haven’t been blown away by what I seen on the store. I look at other f2p games I play like Fortnite, Multiverus, Overwatch etc… I’ve gone much further than just battle passes. I will buy skins for my favorite heroes. I’m casual and the only thing that really bothers me is two things one stacks and two the rage quitters.
@@yokaidigital3033 the stacks I think are part of the lower base but should be improved with school starting back up (at least in north america) depending on time of day, I think the rage quitting is partially due to lag but also due to ppl not being able to handle getting beaten, I only rage quit due to lag or if there's a clear stack on the enemy team and I have a 2xp token active
Even if they "fixed netcode/hitreg" those people would still leave. Its the expectations and attention span related to content. This game is just a barebones shooter. Take it for what it is.
I personally would still play, I just will come for new content or play occasionally to get my fps fix, but you're right it is barebones and doesn't have a lot to hold you over

Enjoying the game, finding many of the issues others are though too. It is what it is; for a FTP game, I’m content buying the battle pass for it. Solid 7/10 or 8/10 shooter. However, I am very worried about the player base. And great point on the XDF viewership… Even the people who hate CoD talk exclusively about it. Personally, I think it would be better if they focused on the game they were actually playing.
it's sad all the smaller creators actually trying to share their experiences and knowledge aren't getting views without roping in call of duty hate...it really is like a cult to some degree lol, it's as if they like the idea of the game more than the game itself judging off the content being so focused on a diff game...I wish it was different because I enjoy the game and would play it more if there was a healthier community around it that was more enthusiastic...ppl say viewership doesn't matter, but if that WEREN'T the case, why is ubisoft paying so many large streamers to play the game: Huskerrs yesterday, symfuhny the other day, etc... that is their marketing... they know public sentiment matters, that's also why they are wiping negative posts off the reddit showing footage of desync if it gets enough likes etc... the playerbase is dropping and feels like it is only diehard fans left who will deny the issues and attack anybody with criticism, hence my 400+ like video that has 10k views and gained me 200+ subscribers on this channel (people must relate) I hope the game turns it around, it seems like they have a management problem from above the developer level (at the executive level or something)
I am going to be real, xdefiant not being playable in old gen consoles must have some impact on the player count as well, even in US were most console players switched to new gen there are a lot of old gen console players. And it's not only these players that don't play, their friends may have a new gen, but are not going to play a game by themselves
Definitely it honestly seems like it should have released there because it doesn't seem like it's graphically so advanced that it has to be on NextGen they probably just had issues optimizing it or something
I said it from the beginning and got laughed at, cod set the bar on arcade fast paced fps games with KILLSTREAKS. Without the dopamine rush of going for big streaks, these games quickly get boring. I. Was told, "if you want steaks, go play cod." We'll, that's what people are now doing in droves

The game is cool I played it for like 30 minutes the thing that killed it for me was the fire class. Why is there a crab that runs around and takes up your whole screen. That was enough for me

Thank you, I hope the game improves and can possibly bring you back somehow but I understand if you never do, this is my second channel my main one is arpg games and I have the experience of playing a niche game (Diablo 2) and being beholden to it for views so if anything it's a lesson to be learned, it's sort of like when a musician changes their style and the fans are let down (I'm not going to let that be a thing with this channel and I'm going to try to focus the channel more around the commentary aspect and trying to have reasonable takes on various fps games i try or play)

I am bad at rpg's I really enjoyed baldurs gate though, I am just too impatient thought lol I used to play final fantasy, pokemon, etc other turn based stuff growing up though there's def a level of enjoyment in the progression which I think xdefiant could learn from those type of games

At the end of the day it is fun for me and that's why ill keep playing it until the plug is pulled or I can't find a match. People forget why this game exists. How many times did we here from cod channels that they want that "casual shooter experience" where you dont have to try. XDefiant at the end of the day is that game. Everything from cosmetics, to maps and abilities are super simple and easy to pick up. Ubisoft gave the masses what they have been clamoring for :)
As someone who is crap at the game and brought the battle pass, all I can ask is wtf were they thinking? The game won't survive without a casual audience and getting stomped every game isn't fun. Who's idea was it to reward the longest playing players with the best weapon add ons, giving the best players even more advantages over new players. The battle pass is a joke, as someone who is not very good, it takes ages to level up through it. I won't be getting it again. All of this on top of getting shot round corners, hit reg being whack de-sync issues. The game has fun gunplay and that's it!
As somebody who would consider myself fairly decent at the game, you are spot on, people think that this can survive off being a small niche thing despite it coming from a publisher with a track record of pulling the plug on games that don't make enough money... Without a large pool of players people will get driven away and when new players come in and just constantly get berated by others for not being good enough etc on top of all the other problems they will just get tired of the game and go play something else especially if their friends stop playing The desync is honestly the worst problem along with a botched ranked mode, lackluster cosmetics, toxic community who can't take constructive criticism, annoying abilities, and the constant mantra of "be patient" imagine an employer telling an employee be patient when their paycheck doesn't arrive on time and they give no timeframe as to when to expect pay
@@dartlinfps I am in total agreement with you, the example was also quite funny, but it's true. There isn't a time frame on anything except for when new maps will arrive and that is terrible. I think this game is already dead, but I'm getting what I can from it, I hope Ubisofts don't scrap it completely, because the gun play is fun.
At the moment I'm a bit worried. I really like this game, I often get stomped as I'm not partied up and I definitely qeue against parties. They're communicating and that's a big deal. I don't play escort anymore, there's no way to defeat a 4 stack. I'm finding matches faster than ever but my lobbies will disband during gameplay, then it's like 3 of us solo queues against a communicating party. I am becoming a better player for sure, but it comes at the price of me dedicating to the sweat. I buy some cosmetics and bought the 2 battle passes but I need a bit more than what's currently offered. I just wanted to support. I'll keep playing XD and Halo until the next era of shooters comes out.
I think a lot of it is due to double XP weekend people are trying to maximize the efficiency of leveling weapons I think it's probably 50% rage quitting and 50% connection based, yesterday I spawned in and started pre firing somebody who was on the radar from a teammate with echelon, they came around the corner took 5 hit markers and killed me in the same time that you get sniped but they were using an ar, I spawned right around the corner from him again ran out and the same scenario happened and it was a combo of rage quit due to desync...
XDefiant was kind of considered a “last straw” of FPS games for me as I’ve been sick of COD and played 2042 off and on, hoping for a good FPS to finally hit the market. I played the betas and the preseason. Needless to say, I haven’t been back since S1 and uninstalled the game. I wanted this game to succeed so badly. XDefiant was the game I hoped to throw into my rotation for an MP game, but it isn’t it. I’ve primarily been a single player games guy for the past decade, and I’ve gone back to only single player games again since I wasn’t having fun with XDefiant. The game is dying, and it has to do with a lot of things-stupid hero shooter mechanics, trash netcode, no identity, lack of meaningful progression, a gameplay loop that is fun at times but janky, etc. People still riding this game need to pull off the fanboy goggles and see what’s really going on-hint: it’s not looking good.
I'm gonna keep dropping videos to put pressure because at this point I'm a disappointed dad LOL I don't care if I offend anybody especially seeing the stupid decisions I've seen made by ppl making 6 figures
I enjoyed playing XDefiant, but its not something I could grind and enjoy playing over a long period. I enjoy that it has that old cod feel to it but to me there's something just not hitting right in the actual gameplay. I appreciate the features like the crossplay/same control method but it aint enough to keep me engaged in the game.
This will definitely happen. If not now, when CoD comes out. They have a ton of work to do before then, and at this moment in time, I'm more looking forward to playing the new CoD than playing this. Hit reg registration is so bad it's actually infuriating at times constantly being shot around a corner. Even the hit reg in normal gun fights is very suspect. The game would be in a much better place if they had the same hit reg as there is in CoD. Now I get they are using a new engine and stuff, but 15 years too late to try that. Gaming space is too competitive, and people don't have time for waiting for games to improve now. They have so many games to look to to prevent these mistakes, but the same mistakes the older games made they did also. I find it difficult to get games that would be found in at least a minute in CoD so there is definitely a player base drop.

That is true the go for the clout than investing they dont see far enough its just a western thing tbh. I doubt theyll get much in microtransactions, skins honestly arent great either and with the decrease in players wont be much money coming in. They basically have two months to get their game in a state that is on par with CoD and i doubt that since theyre not exactly figuring out how to fix the problems as is. But, thats what you get when you gamble on using an mmo engine to make an fps game while the fps space is oversaturated with games to compete with as is never mind the big one which is CoD even games like OW and the new Marvel rivals will take players away from this game. They are going to pull the plug sooner than they did on hyperscape if it doesn't do more financially in a shorter period of time because it costs A LOT more than ppl think to host servers, hence the cloud server trend recently
@dartlinfps I'm not very well versed about all the background stuff kinda just use my logic whenever I can lol. But here's a thought for you also. It may be me but I feel the designs weren't really thought through also. Like when you crouch behind most bits of cover you're still able to be hit in the head while behind cover. Kinda feel the whole point in going behind certain bits of cover is to prevent being hit. I just tend to be and hit others that are crouching behind certain covers that kinda look like they would cover you from a headset while crouching. Of course there has to be some that don't to catch you out and add a bit more positioning skill etc. But I kinda feel some really shouldn't be hit over. I am also taking into account bullet penetration when I'm saying this but because I know its there and shoot people it's not going through the boxes or steel.
This would lead me to believe that a lot of the objects they used for cover were just kind of copy-pasted into the map rather than actually tailor fitted for the player models which is just bad design
In all honesty people who are saying “it has just released, give it time” and “you can’t compare it to cod because MW3 is already close to its life cycles and already received a lot of content and xdefiant hasn’t received hence you can’t compare” are missing key component, players don’t care, players have an option to either go and play cod that already has a lot of content, decent netcode etc. or to play xdefiant that promises to have all of that in the future… I guess I don’t have to tell you which option players gonna choose, that’s the point, xdefiant don’t have time.
I have no doubt that it will get better over time...the question is if it will be given time by the real decision makers not the developers I'm talking about the people controlling the money, not only does it lack in content but it's following a similar trend as hyperscape If I was a business person in charge and I saw a game failing in similar fashion to a previous game I would stop the bleeding EARLIER than last time (that just seems to be a more reliable method than going off of hopes and dreams, which don't pay bills unfortunately)

Dude idk man, i can’t see why people aren’t liking it. I’m loving xdefiant. Its the only game ive played other then apex in the last year and a half. Last cod was vabgaurd and it put me off from cod as a whole.
I tried the game in both bata tests and when it went live. When lobby have players with 56 kill and deaths as a common place, something is wrong., I was in n a lobby when someone had 96 kill and 5 deaths. That kills the game., that’s hacking. Then the lag dying around corners, unloading a complete clip in someone and they don’t die, the you kill someone in 1/100th of a second 5 kills.. then can’t hit crap is no fun.
My highest was like 76 and 25...that low of deaths they either live close to the server, lucky af, or cheat esp with the netcode...I have rage quitting bad connection half the time to the point its a chore to play for footage tbh...maybe its bc i play keyboard and mouse and its a smaller pool so the connection is worse but most kills i seen was 105 he was avoiding the objective and stealing my kills lol i had 40 assists that match with 65 kills We clearly were vs bad opponents... I think we either lost or BARELY won LOL
For me, it is just so sad the servers are that bad. They knew the Netcode Issue from the first Beta, this was and is the biggest issue they face. The inly other negative feedback is Snipers and Bunnyhopping. Seeing Ubisoft again ruining such a great game by not providing good enough servers is so disappointing.
I'm not sure what people were expecting from this game, but it seems the honeymoon phase is finally over. I was calling it for a while: This game is not the COD-Killer everyone was expecting it to be, and it never had any hope of coming close. It's just another F2P barebones Ubislop game that preys on your wallet and punishes you with horrid levels of grind. I have my gripes with the way COD's matchmaking algorithm works, but I haven't deluded myself into thinking all matchmaking algorithms are inherently bad. The fact that people were sold on the "No SBMM" shows these people do not have the slightest idea how these algorithms work. These are the same people that will play like pricks with their movement exploits, ultra-meta builds and berate their teammates for "being bad" instead of taking their loss. They just want easy landslide victory matches were they can feed their egos with high K/D ratios (while completely ignoring the game-mode objective and not contributing worth a damn to their team).
most of the ppl who hated the sbmm were not as good as they thought lol I don't have an issue with it personally except when it hurts connection, aside from that, I'm fine playing vs good players and occasionally getting bad ones, just like you would with no sbmm...I usually get the bad teammates but I never once said anything to them, the one person I did say something to was one of those selfish players kd whoring and avoiding the objective like the plague after he typed "yall trash" in the chat and i said go play tdm if you went for the objective we would have won (he was the 1 other player on my team capable of outgunning the players we were against) I almost feel like id enjoy myself if I played more selfish bc those players seem to be having more fun than me
same, season start I had the max camo in literally a day and a half, now I play it far less, only have 2 guns max and what's the point, I only need an ak and an mp7 everything else is setting myself up for failure when I play against a full party and have to carry every single match bc of skill balancing the game needs something more, at this point I don't even know what...aside from things that have been stated a million times

The spiderbot and the firebomb where somebody's losing to you and just presses a button and wins the gun fight is annoying AF lol... @@dartlinfps yea its money related. im mainly a mobile gamer. i may have said this before idk. so im not on next gen and dont have a good pc for gaming. im going to get a ps5 in november cause my sister gets a big deal at walmart every year. and im going to try the game. but the whole reason im loving brs is because im 44. ive played tdm and other modes domination conquest in battlefield which is just large scale domination. for over 20 years. and brs are actually hard to win. in comparison to tdm or other modes. free for all is a good mode to have a good win percentage because its all on you.
I play br with friends because it's more dynamic and despite being "repetitive" it's got more variety regardless of it being less predictable... The connection usually feels on par and my friends don't enjoy arena shooters, they enjoy the excitement of being the last team standing and the level of coordination and teamwork...mostly all I see on xdefiant is selfish players padding their stats

You can’t even unlock character unlocks anymore through the challenges it keep saying 1/100 every match resetting. They trying to force us to buy skins. The game just is a big ass slot machine. Aside from agreeing with you on everything that you said, just know that character unlock progress does count behind the scenes and it's just a UI issue, has been from day 1 and it's still not fixed lol.

To be honest I think this channel is a breath of fresh air compared to the fanboy or hater channels I keep getting, the main thing with the cosmetics is price point for me, if they lowered the price to maybe 5 dollars a skin and no over priced bundles they would probably make hand over fist as folk would think less those purchases. Another thing is have a camo grind, it would keep the game alive for sure.
ppl tell me that I'm being a hater which baffles me I am not even raising my voice or namecalling or anything I may make jokes about toxic positivity and ppl ignoring the trends but I think they could benefit MASSIVELY by doing some type of overhaul and giving camos for sale for 5$ that apply to all guns etc, adding user created content...I would spend a whole day just making a map in game if I had the ability to potentially add content the community enjoyed, they also need more unlockables to encourage you to spend more time in game and not be so "stat or performance obsessed" as it currently stands the only thing to go for is to beat your previous personal best which encourages using only meta weapons and chasing new players off the game with movement that is exacerbated by the netcode issues
Just a few hours ago I hopped on to do my morning team death matches and one reason I have usually liked this game I get matches awfully fast, but this morning I waited several minutes for a lobby which has been unusual for tdm on XDefiant. I know at sometimes of the day I can’t even get a match in some modes. We don’t know the exact player counts but I think we can tell with our eyes the numbers are down. Another thing I notice often is each lobby lately has the exact same players it just reshuffling which is on what team. While that kind of makes sense since we’re all playing at the same time obviously you would think there would be more variation if the numbers were higher.
yeah it's def down, I noticed it a few weeks ago when i made the video called only sweats or something but it has fallen DRAMATICALLY sense then...and I still play it and enjoy the game, it behooves me for the game to do well as it did a lot for my channel but even the past week my viewership has reduced to 1/3rd of a week ago, but I think it is noticeable there has been a drop off, over time the game will improve, but I think it'll be like warface or something if they are not careful, they need to do an overhaul and possibly drop a LOT of content rather than sticking to the current roadmap because it feels like it might be too little, too late for the majority of players sadly
somebody on twitter was claiming they saw an art team member on reddit say there's talks of the game possibly having season 3 cancelled if they don't get enough revenue (not sure if it is true, but they probably do have an ultimatum of performance within a timeline)
I play a lot of f2p games and I agree there’s not a lot of cosmetics seen. Other than the battle pass I honestly haven’t bought other stuff. I’m not against maybe getting stuff but I haven’t been blown away by what I seen on the store.
I look at other f2p games I play like Fortnite, Multiverus, Overwatch etc… I’ve gone much further than just battle passes. I will buy skins for my favorite heroes.
I’m casual and the only thing that really bothers me is two things one stacks and two the rage quitters.
@@yokaidigital3033 the stacks I think are part of the lower base but should be improved with school starting back up (at least in north america) depending on time of day, I think the rage quitting is partially due to lag but also due to ppl not being able to handle getting beaten, I only rage quit due to lag or if there's a clear stack on the enemy team and I have a 2xp token active
Even if they "fixed netcode/hitreg" those people would still leave. Its the expectations and attention span related to content. This game is just a barebones shooter. Take it for what it is.

I am going to be real, xdefiant not being playable in old gen consoles must have some impact on the player count as well, even in US were most console players switched to new gen there are a lot of old gen console players. And it's not only these players that don't play, their friends may have a new gen, but are not going to play a game by themselves

The game is cool I played it for like 30 minutes the thing that killed it for me was the fire class. Why is there a crab that runs around and takes up your whole screen. That was enough for me

Thank you, I hope the game improves and can possibly bring you back somehow but I understand if you never do, this is my second channel my main one is arpg games and I have the experience of playing a niche game (Diablo 2) and being beholden to it for views so if anything it's a lesson to be learned, it's sort of like when a musician changes their style and the fans are let down (I'm not going to let that be a thing with this channel and I'm going to try to focus the channel more around the commentary aspect and trying to have reasonable takes on various fps games i try or play)

At the end of the day it is fun for me and that's why ill keep playing it until the plug is pulled or I can't find a match. People forget why this game exists. How many times did we here from cod channels that they want that "casual shooter experience" where you dont have to try. XDefiant at the end of the day is that game. Everything from cosmetics, to maps and abilities are super simple and easy to pick up. Ubisoft gave the masses what they have been clamoring for :)
As someone who is crap at the game and brought the battle pass, all I can ask is wtf were they thinking?

Who's idea was it to reward the longest playing players with the best weapon add ons, giving the best players even more advantages over new players.
The battle pass is a joke, as someone who is not very good, it takes ages to level up through it. I won't be getting it again.
All of this on top of getting shot round corners, hit reg being whack de-sync issues. The game has fun gunplay and that's it!
As somebody who would consider myself fairly decent at the game, you are spot on, people think that this can survive off being a small niche thing despite it coming from a publisher with a track record of pulling the plug on games that don't make enough money... Without a large pool of players people will get driven away and when new players come in and just constantly get berated by others for not being good enough etc on top of all the other problems they will just get tired of the game and go play something else especially if their friends stop playing
The desync is honestly the worst problem along with a botched ranked mode, lackluster cosmetics, toxic community who can't take constructive criticism, annoying abilities, and the constant mantra of "be patient" imagine an employer telling an employee be patient when their paycheck doesn't arrive on time and they give no timeframe as to when to expect pay
@@dartlinfps I am in total agreement with you, the example was also quite funny, but it's true. There isn't a time frame on anything except for when new maps will arrive and that is terrible. I think this game is already dead, but I'm getting what I can from it, I hope Ubisofts don't scrap it completely, because the gun play is fun.
At the moment I'm a bit worried. I really like this game, I often get stomped as I'm not partied up and I definitely qeue against parties. They're communicating and that's a big deal. I don't play escort anymore, there's no way to defeat a 4 stack.
I'm finding matches faster than ever but my lobbies will disband during gameplay, then it's like 3 of us solo queues against a communicating party. I am becoming a better player for sure, but it comes at the price of me dedicating to the sweat.
I buy some cosmetics and bought the 2 battle passes but I need a bit more than what's currently offered. I just wanted to support. I'll keep playing XD and Halo until the next era of shooters comes out.

I think it's probably 50% rage quitting and 50% connection based, yesterday I spawned in and started pre firing somebody who was on the radar from a teammate with echelon, they came around the corner took 5 hit markers and killed me in the same time that you get sniped but they were using an ar, I spawned right around the corner from him again ran out and the same scenario happened and it was a combo of rage quit due to desync...
XDefiant was kind of considered a “last straw” of FPS games for me as I’ve been sick of COD and played 2042 off and on, hoping for a good FPS to finally hit the market. I played the betas and the preseason. Needless to say, I haven’t been back since S1 and uninstalled the game.
I wanted this game to succeed so badly. XDefiant was the game I hoped to throw into my rotation for an MP game, but it isn’t it. I’ve primarily been a single player games guy for the past decade, and I’ve gone back to only single player games again since I wasn’t having fun with XDefiant. The game is dying, and it has to do with a lot of things-stupid hero shooter mechanics, trash netcode, no identity, lack of meaningful progression, a gameplay loop that is fun at times but janky, etc. People still riding this game need to pull off the fanboy goggles and see what’s really going on-hint: it’s not looking good.
I'm gonna keep dropping videos to put pressure because at this point I'm a disappointed dad LOL I don't care if I offend anybody especially seeing the stupid decisions I've seen made by ppl making 6 figures
I enjoyed playing XDefiant, but its not something I could grind and enjoy playing over a long period. I enjoy that it has that old cod feel to it but to me there's something just not hitting right in the actual gameplay. I appreciate the features like the crossplay/same control method but it aint enough to keep me engaged in the game.
This will definitely happen. If not now, when CoD comes out. They have a ton of work to do before then, and at this moment in time, I'm more looking forward to playing the new CoD than playing this. Hit reg registration is so bad it's actually infuriating at times constantly being shot around a corner. Even the hit reg in normal gun fights is very suspect. The game would be in a much better place if they had the same hit reg as there is in CoD. Now I get they are using a new engine and stuff, but 15 years too late to try that. Gaming space is too competitive, and people don't have time for waiting for games to improve now. They have so many games to look to to prevent these mistakes, but the same mistakes the older games made they did also. I find it difficult to get games that would be found in at least a minute in CoD so there is definitely a player base drop.

That is true the go for the clout than investing they dont see far enough its just a western thing tbh. I doubt theyll get much in microtransactions, skins honestly arent great either and with the decrease in players wont be much money coming in. They basically have two months to get their game in a state that is on par with CoD and i doubt that since theyre not exactly figuring out how to fix the problems as is. But, thats what you get when you gamble on using an mmo engine to make an fps game while the fps space is oversaturated with games to compete with as is never mind the big one which is CoD even games like OW and the new Marvel rivals will take players away from this game. They are going to pull the plug sooner than they did on hyperscape if it doesn't do more financially in a shorter period of time because it costs A LOT more than ppl think to host servers, hence the cloud server trend recently
@dartlinfps I'm not very well versed about all the background stuff kinda just use my logic whenever I can lol. But here's a thought for you also. It may be me but I feel the designs weren't really thought through also. Like when you crouch behind most bits of cover you're still able to be hit in the head while behind cover. Kinda feel the whole point in going behind certain bits of cover is to prevent being hit. I just tend to be and hit others that are crouching behind certain covers that kinda look like they would cover you from a headset while crouching. Of course there has to be some that don't to catch you out and add a bit more positioning skill etc. But I kinda feel some really shouldn't be hit over. I am also taking into account bullet penetration when I'm saying this but because I know its there and shoot people it's not going through the boxes or steel.
This would lead me to believe that a lot of the objects they used for cover were just kind of copy-pasted into the map rather than actually tailor fitted for the player models which is just bad design

In all honesty people who are saying “it has just released, give it time” and “you can’t compare it to cod because MW3 is already close to its life cycles and already received a lot of content and xdefiant hasn’t received hence you can’t compare” are missing key component, players don’t care, players have an option to either go and play cod that already has a lot of content, decent netcode etc. or to play xdefiant that promises to have all of that in the future… I guess I don’t have to tell you which option players gonna choose, that’s the point, xdefiant don’t have time.
I have no doubt that it will get better over time...the question is if it will be given time by the real decision makers not the developers I'm talking about the people controlling the money, not only does it lack in content but it's following a similar trend as hyperscape
If I was a business person in charge and I saw a game failing in similar fashion to a previous game I would stop the bleeding EARLIER than last time (that just seems to be a more reliable method than going off of hopes and dreams, which don't pay bills unfortunately)

Dude idk man, i can’t see why people aren’t liking it. I’m loving xdefiant. Its the only game ive played other then apex in the last year and a half. Last cod was vabgaurd and it put me off from cod as a whole.

I tried the game in both bata tests and when it went live. When lobby have players with 56 kill and deaths as a common place, something is wrong., I was in n a lobby when someone had 96 kill and 5 deaths. That kills the game., that’s hacking. Then the lag dying around corners, unloading a complete clip in someone and they don’t die, the you kill someone in 1/100th of a second 5 kills.. then can’t hit crap is no fun.
My highest was like 76 and 25...that low of deaths they either live close to the server, lucky af, or cheat esp with the netcode...I have rage quitting bad connection half the time to the point its a chore to play for footage tbh...maybe its bc i play keyboard and mouse and its a smaller pool so the connection is worse but most kills i seen was 105 he was avoiding the objective and stealing my kills lol i had 40 assists that match with 65 kills
We clearly were vs bad opponents... I think we either lost or BARELY won LOL

For me, it is just so sad the servers are that bad. They knew the Netcode Issue from the first Beta, this was and is the biggest issue they face. The inly other negative feedback is Snipers and Bunnyhopping. Seeing Ubisoft again ruining such a great game by not providing good enough servers is so disappointing.
I haven’t played either game or franchise, I’m just watching from the distance playing my own kinda dying game I have fun with, (halo infinite).

I'm not sure what people were expecting from this game, but it seems the honeymoon phase is finally over. I was calling it for a while:
This game is not the COD-Killer everyone was expecting it to be, and it never had any hope of coming close.
It's just another F2P barebones Ubislop game that preys on your wallet and punishes you with horrid levels of grind.
I have my gripes with the way COD's matchmaking algorithm works, but I haven't deluded myself into thinking all matchmaking algorithms are inherently bad. The fact that people were sold on the "No SBMM" shows these people do not have the slightest idea how these algorithms work. These are the same people that will play like pricks with their movement exploits, ultra-meta builds and berate their teammates for "being bad" instead of taking their loss. They just want easy landslide victory matches were they can feed their egos with high K/D ratios (while completely ignoring the game-mode objective and not contributing worth a damn to their team).
most of the ppl who hated the sbmm were not as good as they thought lol I don't have an issue with it personally except when it hurts connection, aside from that, I'm fine playing vs good players and occasionally getting bad ones, just like you would with no sbmm...I usually get the bad teammates but I never once said anything to them, the one person I did say something to was one of those selfish players kd whoring and avoiding the objective like the plague after he typed "yall trash" in the chat and i said go play tdm if you went for the objective we would have won (he was the 1 other player on my team capable of outgunning the players we were against)
I almost feel like id enjoy myself if I played more selfish bc those players seem to be having more fun than me

same, season start I had the max camo in literally a day and a half, now I play it far less, only have 2 guns max and what's the point, I only need an ak and an mp7 everything else is setting myself up for failure when I play against a full party and have to carry every single match bc of skill balancing

I’m still really enjoying the game And I’m objectively a really solid player but even I have to admit the player numbers are dropping I’ve seen the same players in my lobbies lately and it’s happening more often. The netcode is the #1 problem to me but I still think this game can rebound I also love this game for exposing so many people how bad they actually are at fps games I love how it’s been a massive wake up call for casuals but unfortunately it might be another reason why it’s bleeding at least some players. They would rather be protected by their cute SBMM system 🤣🤣🤣
For me personally the netcode is #1 I get annoyed by spiderbot and the firebomb but I'm the type of player who can be going 40 and 11 and still be mad at dumb stuff lol, the thing that irritates me the most is the potential that I see in the game that feels like it's getting slowly lost bc we live in a time where tiktok and instant gratification rules

This game is dying let’s be honest it’s a nice fun game but it’s boring as hell and the graphics are not up to par with let’s say COD where it’s nicely polished runs smoothly when u shoot your gun it don’t delay or throw a flash bang or a nad…it just don’t feel fresh at all not to mention the maps could be better gameplay in all should run smoothly

the game is boring, the power ups are trash, griding for guns is lame, the competitive aspect isnt there, and the wallhacks are just op.
The spiderbot and the firebomb where somebody's losing to you and just presses a button and wins the gun fight is annoying AF lol... For me personally the net code is the worst part that just makes the game feel incredibly inconsistent and it makes me feel like I have no control over whether I'm going to lose gun fights to essentially what feels like a coin flip
I have 4k hours in escape from tarkov. Desync/netcode/hitreg is much much worse in tarkov. So i prob have battered wife syndrome 🤣... and cheating also
the cheating in tarkov is why I never tried it bc it would feel so bad to die after alot of time to that in something where you die so quick etc

this is development footage of patty aches and pacman playing (former cod pros) (I am an ubisoft partner so I have some footage of maps and gameplay in a huge 40 GB folder they sent) I agree they need something that is going to boost the playerbase I think if they get the netcode tightened up and then drop on steam, they'll double overnight or at least reach a better place by far, they refused to put hyperscape on steam idk y they r doing this now (probably steam wants a cut of the microtransactions)
@@dartlinfps yea its money related. im mainly a mobile gamer. i may have said this before idk. so im not on next gen and dont have a good pc for gaming. im going to get a ps5 in november cause my sister gets a big deal at walmart every year. and im going to try the game. but the whole reason im loving brs is because im 44. ive played tdm and other modes domination conquest in battlefield which is just large scale domination. for over 20 years. and brs are actually hard to win. in comparison to tdm or other modes. free for all is a good mode to have a good win percentage because its all on you.
I play br with friends because it's more dynamic and despite being "repetitive" it's got more variety regardless of it being less predictable... The connection usually feels on par and my friends don't enjoy arena shooters, they enjoy the excitement of being the last team standing and the level of coordination and teamwork...mostly all I see on xdefiant is selfish players padding their stats
@@dartlinfps yea playing brs with friends is so much fun. i hated brs before i played them of course. then i was hearing about bo4 and blackout. and i was laughing like they cant have a 100 player lobby and make it work. but i was wrong and it was just fantastic imo. and i wasnt that good at it. i only had like 6 maybe 7 solo wins. but i would clutch countless times in duos and squads doesnt make sense but oh well.
