      I belive those radio players can easily get to 20 kicks a day. Sense people don't usually know the difference. between them and bots.

      its valve's way of scamming newbies who didnt look up "tf2 items for cheap" yet. it really is absurd, most items move in values a hundredth of the mann co store price, but valve has to make some unfair money off this game

      There are 160 items in the game, current market rate is 85ref/key, so you could spend $2USD to get 1524 weapons, almost 10x the amount of every weapon in the game

    3:55 I honestly miss this screen a lot. one of the more recognizable elements of the game to me that is now mainly gone.

    Team scramble should be put back into the game BUT it shouldn’t instantly restart the round, an automatic scramble at the end of the round would probably be the better option

      As long as it keeps parties together. My favorite way to play is with friends and family and getting split is sometimes fun but often a bummer.

      I think it reloads the map because if the same map is run for a very extended period of time the server begins to break and can potentially crash.

      ​​@@mikeyes620This isn't a real problem, just have every server do a fresh reload at like midnight or something, or queue it to reload at the end of the next match after a 24 hour time period, solved.
      That would give it one reload once a day minimum, completely ignoring the fact that if a different map is chosen it'll have to reload anyway.

      One thing I'd suggest for the Squad Surplus voucher is to have it spin a wheel of goodies. 9 slots, each one giving you something different, like:
      2 slots giving you one extra item.
      2 slots giving you two extra items.
      1 slot giving you one rare part.
      1 slot giving you one of the Mercenaries' mech items.
      1 slot giving you a weapon.
      1 slot giving you a basic killstreak kit, 50/50 chance if it's unlocked or you need to make it yourself.
      1 slot for a professional killstreak kit unbuilt.
      All the items and what the killstreak kits are for is random of course, but it'd give much more use to the SS voucher

      (hot take) hardly disagree with you here, TF2 glory updatey days are gone, the game don't need new content and certainly if valve kept pushing updates TF2 would be much more modernized and lose it's charm

    The vote at the end thing is for everyone to go grab a drink or use the toilet, its good to stay on 30 seconds. but the rest of the "waiting "category (and the entire rest of the video) is absolutely agreeable

      kinda makes me imagine a "hold" request vote, where 60% of the people currently in the lobby have to agree to extending the timer for an extra minute. it can just act like a request while the player who initiates it goes off to do whatever they need and _maybe_ they'll get back before the match starts if the rest of the lobby cared enough to wait. though i imagine most would deny it lmao
      i would also imagine the vote automatically ending if it lasts into the last 10 seconds of the timer, at whoch point i'd imagine there's enough of a split or enough people unaware that itd be unfair to them if the timer got extended on the last fucking second lmao. but maybe im overthinking it

    ~15:40 One thing I'd love to see from those Casual and Comp badges is for them to be actual wearable badges. They look pretty slick in-and-of themselves, they would let more people see your rank (ie, tier 3 level 49), and it'd be nice for new players to have cosmetics that aren't the Gibus or Gibus-esque.
    Like, I've been playing since 2013, have a decent variety of cosmetics, and I still wear my PASS Time Beta Badge because it just looks that good.

    thing we need for MVM is not allowing players to join matches they were kicked from this is a huge problem with trolls or salty high tours with holding games hostage because they just join back in and grief and very common on the less played tours

    He makes good points about making the new player experience much better. Better default settings, F2P chat and voice lines unrestricted, easier to obtain and cheaper standard weapons, and 150 backpack space would definitely help newer players enjoy the game more and would probably be more willing to come back to it more often! Maybe Valve should even add a tutorial for every class so new players have a better chance when when they join a player lobby for the first time! It would likely help with the learning curve! Also better explanation of the contractor would help them too. Lastly the game should teach new players how to use all the different voice lines other than the classic "MEDIC!". I wish all this could be implemented so I can play with first time friends without showing and telling all of this...

      Problem with the Highlander queue idea is queue times.
      You could have 1000 of every other class queuing but if there isn't a single medic queuing then you suddenly have no matches able to start.
      Huge exaggeration I know, but considering the pool of people both interested in comp AND queuing in Valve games is insanely low already trying to find 18 unique players each queuing for 1 of the 9 classes to make a proper 9v9 we're talking nightmare queue times lol.
      You could maybe get around this by allowing players to queue for multiple (maybe even all) classes, but idk I still think the pool of players is too low to make it work.

      I am not particularly familiar with how the competitive system works, or how it supposedly worked when it was first implemented, but would it not make sense for it to be in a rotation of Sixes and Highlander (and potentially other modes as well), where it switches every two hours? And perhaps when Highlander is in rotation, one can select their class before queueing?

    I think one thing that would help not only tf2 but the source community in general is an update to source film maker
    The program has been in "beta" since 2012 or so. And theres so many weird work arounds you have to do, like if you wanna render above 720p you have to set the program launch options in steam to the resolution. Not mention all the weird bugs that seem to happen for no reason.
    And as time goes on and hardware keeps getting better sfm will eventually get left behind and just stright up not work.
    Sfm was always seen as an "easy way to get into animation" but it is starting to become anything but with the amount of bugs and source research one has to do.

      I always get a chuckle whenever someone says that stuff will stop working because the hardware is 'better.' If it was 'better' it would be able to run it all, it's a lateral step that produces better results, but I'm not going to call it better until it can do everything.

    I would disagree with the party size increase. Imagine the chaos of a 12-bot party joining a server and being literally unable to be kicked. And really, when do you need to play with six other friends at once?
    Edit: Also the metal change would straight up crash the taunt economy. 36 ref for a taunt when most are around 1.5 keys would do some wild things to the market. We need a refined metal sink to take more of it out of the economy

      8 people would be more reasonable, especially since the game needs to put all of the party into a game on the same team. 12 players in a party would take way too long to queue for.

      To play with like 10 friends is such a pain in the ass. Get in a game. Leave the party so other friends can try and join. Is kinda ass. Even being on separate teams is fine sometimes but o just wanna play with my friends

      @@SquimJimYou’d like that, that’d be hell for the rest of us. Do you know how frustrating it is for those of us that only go in alone or with one friend to always be against teams that have a stack of 6 players all communicating in a call? Making that the whole team would just ruin the game.
      I’d rather it go back to picking your team at the beginning based on availability, as well as bringing back periodic team scrambles. It could be annoying at times, but the alternative is a team with the top 6 players being a good 10-20 points ahead of the top player on the opposite team. Team stacking is already such a pain in modern casual in a way it wasn’t in the quick play days.

      @Brother_Piner I said the teams would be auto-assigned and split with 7+ players. So if you're playing with 8 it'd be 4 on one team and 4 on the other, for example.

    Bug Fix: Sometimes the post-match map vote doesn't work (no one can vote)
    Forced Autobalance: It would lead to greater balance if a top-scoring player was chosen because the disadvantaged team needs a strong player rather than a recently joined F2P

      force auto-balancing the top scorer would be really frustrating; to be top scorer, that person has probably been in the match for a while & may or may not be playing with friends or just getting pocketed by a random medic. getting split from friends is already frustrating & so is getting auto balanced when you're about to win/doing great on your team.

    here's the thing about restricting searches for people that get kicked;
    1. the bots can just leave before they're officilaly kicked, whilst players are less likely to do that.
    2. Once the bots reach a near unplayable threshold (or any for that matter), there isn't anything stopping the bothosters from getting more bots.
    At best your suggestion makes it much more inconvenient to be a bot-hoster, but not prevent bots from entering matches. At worst it risks other players getting hit with these penalties.
    The idea on paper isn't bad, but once its put into practice things can go very wrong very fast.
    edit: Also, bots can record who they play with and kick. If they can do that they can also target players to intentionally force those thresholds unto others.

      @@SquimJim They can still switch accounts though, and since they are not running them at the same time, you have the same issue, they can just switch out the accounts when their kick quota is filled. And I also think he raises a valid concern with the targeting, this would be used on RUclipsrs for example.

      I mean inconveniencing bot-hosters sounds like a good thing even if that's all it did. Swapping accounts every few hours will take time especially if its a lot of bots and the penalty is a consistently applied thing they try to avoid each time. I don't see how it could really harm a human player. Especially in a consistent way. Like I said, if someone could prove they've been kicked that many times in a day/month I'd genuinely like to see it.

      @@SquimJim I don't think it could hurt a human player unless they're targeted by the bots but the benefit is inconsequential.
      There is no way the process of switching accounts wouldn't be automated. So on the balance of pros and cons it would be a net negative because community figures of any kind could be targeted.

      ​So, if this were a thing, it'd leave bot hosters to be changing manually accounts just to keep them up, which is manual work for them, every, single time. Eventually they'd get tired off of it, even IF it making new accounts got automated in some way, wouldn't that turn into a valve-as-a-whole threat?, which could be solved with a captcha, i know this is basically a band aid for a band aid, but realistically if valve were to actually make something like this i wouldn't see them having trouble taking care of the bots outside of tf2's wonky code.

      I never understood what all the heavy needs. Plenty of sandwiches, plenty of miniguns, and enough shotguns. Even his melees are pretty unique.
      Imo hes just fine.

      ​@@local_engineer_main Mobility. Heavy's hardest set back is mobility. Now I get the idea behind it, he's strong, and can do a horrific amount of damage... Up close. And that's where he has high HP... If the entire enemy team doesn't gang up on him. This is why "fat scout" is used more and more often, the damage is significantly better as opposed to the mini-gun, given the mini-gun not only needs constant marking, but sustained damage. And given people move around, a lot, sustained damage is nearly impossible. Ask Pyro. And hitting your target from afar is the only way to ensure safety, but takes back the damage significantly unless you have Natasha. Ask Spy about consistent target hitting. As such, Heavy is not only handicapped by the fact that he's the biggest target, slowest class, not as optimal damage dealer and simply not fun to play.
      Fixing Heavy is an undertaking, but above all else, Heavy needs mobility updates. That Jetpack Pyro got would have been useful, but no, Heavy is still just his own walking pace, where the mittens only makes a marginal increase in speed, it isn't enough. Do I expect him to be rocket jumping? No, however he needs a way to balance the downsides rather than be stuck in the shadow of a class nobody mains unless they're patient as a rock.
      Recently, Uncle Dane proved a flawed concept can be improved upon: more health doesn't mean fun to play. In fact, more health means you're more of a bullet sponge and higher priority. And unless you have those mittens on standby and a shotgun for back pedalling, most Heavy players have to forego the sandvich for safety damage. At base, Heavy is coded and codes players to stand their ground until death, that Heavy is the sacrifice class to make a push. This gives him one and only one usage: muscle.
      Classes that do more than their one job are what gives them appeal. Look at Demoman, look at Pyro, look at Engineer. Classes who are more than the sum of their base play style. Heavy is either stuck to his own lane, or people have to be experimental with him, depending on the map and players, enemies or otherwise, as well as the loadout, to hopefully be aid for the game. Otherwise, the game becomes friendly with Hoovies abundant.
      Make Heavy mobile. I don't really know how, making him faster is out of the question because he can already use the mittens, however, maybe a rocket jump ability, or at least the ability to roam around like Soldier.

      2: the mobility is more or less the balancing of the class. As LazyPurple would say, “Mowing down Hoards of people is heavy’s thing man.” Even if the entire team ganged up on him, he would still cut a few down. His mobility is the only thing holding back sure, but if he was as quick as a soldier then he could get back to spawn and get ready to mow down again. Shoot the few people then get back then shoot a few different people.
      3: I don’t entirely understand how play-styles have a giant shift in things. It’s all really about opinion. If you want to mow down the opposing team, bring out the brass beast and sit next to a well placed dispenser. If play styles are what allows a class to be balanced, then don’t give them any other weapon besides stock. If plain means balanced, don’t ‘fix’ it.
      4: I never knew the mittens added move speed.

      Another thing is just teammates and their cooperation. If that engineer with a well placed dispenser also placed a well placed teleporter and sentry, then heavy could even be irrelevant with this engineer.     The Votekick ideas proposed at 9:00 are understandable, but it some have some pretty big issues.
    When instantly kicking once a majority is reached, does this mean a 60% majority of all players on the server, or a 60% majority of “Yes” votes to “No” votes? While the former could work, the latter would be massively broken and easily exploitable, as all it would take to kick a player is one other person voting in favor (2-1 or 67-33).
    The second change proposed i disagree with outright, as it would just defeat the purpose of not being able to see the opposing teams classes on the leaderboard. I get that checking the votekick menu takes more time than the scoreboard, but it to me it still ruins the whole point and surprise of not knowing what the other team is playing with and having to play around the classes you see in game and developing a strategy, instead of just checking a menu.

    I think 30 seconds for the voting period isn't just to vote, but it encourages communicating between players and teams as a sort of "downtime". I enjoy being able to talk to everyone for a few seconds without having to ignore the game.

    TF2 should also take your class into account when autobalancing too. Having your only Medic get autobalanced can be pretty annoying, same with your only engi.

    Some things in the same vein as the end of the video (small QOL fixes):
    1. Fix the manmelter’s visual bug
    2. Do something about broken achievements (I.e. replay achievements) and some buggy achievements.
    3. Be more thoughtful about additions. Things feel so bloated now, there are so many game modes, maps, it kind of splits an already tight-knit community. There are so many game modes with very little TLC to the point where some are abandoned. Mannpower, Zombies, Passtime, robot destruction, arena, etc.
    4. A bit more theming with the seasonal cosmetic updates. Announce something like an Olympic motif for a Summer update and focus on athletic/sports themed cosmetics.
    5. Stop “orphaning” cosmetics. Creators will make a set and only 1 of 3 things will make it in and the hat feels incomplete.
    6. Tweaks to Halloween contracts. There’s just so many Halloween maps now, it’s getting a bit excessive.
    7. Finish giving every weapon a strange version
    8. Add a little wearable pin or badge for your player level (not as cool as the cosmetic cases but more realistic)
    9. New artwork for crates instead of lazy recolors
    10. The UI for calling a vote needs tweaked. Make it easier to see players. Half of that menu is taken up by the reasons for calling a kick, and there aren’t many. Make that a drop down menu at the bottom and have a simple player list above it (or something similar)

    I think one of the better ways to add a metal sink is to add craftable "lock-picks" that use up a whole lot of refined metal, say 12 for one pick and some scrap etc, and adding class specific locked cosmetic chests and a return of the taunt reels into either the drop rotation or, building on your featured maps idea, add a set of bi-weekly contracts for featured maps that players can earn these crates through.
    There could also be more specialized warpaint and tiered cosmetic case lockpicks that might require certain other items that can be earned through the featured contract system, so we can open up the older war paint cases still swimming around the ocean of the combined tf2 playerbase inventory. Of course, that would hurt Valve's seasonal bottom line, though it could likely increase steam marketplace sales and revenue, so IDK.

    I mean I couldn't agree more with everything you said, but I want to add something, The MMR system for casual every 5 levels a weapon, and every 15 levels a random cosmetic trashing out the old item drop system, it also would fix Idlers and idling bots that inflated the economy and player counts, for comp something similar but each rank will gave you a random item that can be strange/unusual but the drop change would be lower, besides that everything its pretty good and I like these changes.
    Also the community quickplay menu and HUD its also a good way to add community servers back at the stage, it needs some tweaks here and there but its also a great option.

    I wish that the casual levels gave a new weapon each level up, I've currently gor around 130ish hours in the game and am nowhere near unlocking everything, which is really frustrating when I get my 3rd reserve shooter or Natasha in a row when I don't even have a single spy knife unlock

    Rebalance feature; can we add something that stops people on an active kill streak from being balanced, more so for weapons like Eyelander it feels awful to lose such a kill streak to something out your hands, at least wait for me to die!     This video is great, man. I loved every concept you threw out there, but the one that stood out to me the most is the idea of having a series of contracts to be able to earn each weapon. I always thought it was odd that having access to the entirety of the game's playable material was locked behind random chance. Although you said to suggest "non-gameplay" things, I'm adamant about random crits being off in casual. It's one of those "easy enough to do therefore easy enough to ask for" changes in my book.

    One thing I wish they would implement is making the cool down for calling votes shorter, or making it so u can call a vote when you first enter a server rather than waiting 2 minutes. It’s so annoying having to wait a full 2 minutes when you are the only one on the team who knows how to call it.

      Trust me. You do not want that cooldown removed.
      Both cooldowns were implemented to stop bots from hogging the vote menu. Removing that cooldown wouod just mean that the bots would get to go back to spaming vote kicks preventing human players from calling them.
      And the join vote cooldown was to makw it harder for a bot to join a game and take a human with them.

    Hey small problem with your free cosmetics idea for reaching certain tiers of casual/competitive (Because it would be abused by bots) The money incentive for bots to play would be raised exponentially, because 40k bots all grinding out to get to lvl 50 now you have just added 40k random cosmetics and items, a good percent of which would be unusual and rare items that sell for a lot, eventually making some sought after items worthless killing the economy.

    Autobalance is not just about less players in one team but score disparity. Part of the point it to punish tryhards and even it out so one team doesnt have 10 people with 10+ score and other ona has like 2 people with 2 digit score with rest in single digits.

    The way autobalance used to work is that it didn't balance people unless they died. I prefer that over any forceful autobalance as: when teams become unbalanced, the team with more players naturally becomes less aggressive to avoid dying and getting balanced. This will give the other team the change to push objective in their favor and solve stalemates. This also means that engineers and medics will become less likely to get balanced as they naturally stay away from the front thus building uber/buildings is not time wasted.

    I think the game should move away from big, themed updates (Except maybe the holiday ones) and just move to bite sized content drops.
    Like maybe in Spring we get a random update that adds a new weapon or two, then in summer we get another seemingly random update with nothing but bug fixes and a few balance changes to keep a few underused weapons fresh by reworking them slightly.
    That way it's easier to debug the new content since there's less of it and we get a more steady stream of stuff, without having to wait or hope for a big update.

    Comp needs some sort of team kick. There are many times where hackers are on and the team with them can’t do anything unless they want to drag out the game or forfeit, or toxic players that just disrupt teamwork and are actually a net negative compared to a bot. Keep it to like 4 of 6 players minimum for a vote and it should be fine.

    I’d want away to give up some amount of scrap for a random loot drop that gives away any weapon or hat and have a 0.5% chance of getting a silver variety as well as a scrap unusual effect as well as that weapon or hat and having a different color name with the prefix refined. also there’s chance have a chance of being strange for the hat or weapon to be strange. when I mean the hat i mean all of the craft able ones and any in past cases but not the ones in the current case as soon as the case stop dropping then they would be added to the pull and it will have the same rarity as if it was in a case.

    To answer your first question, there is a system in place like the one you are talking about. Someone kicked over and over and over again will have vac fully ban them. It’s why a lot of bots are programmed to leave the match voluntarily the millisecond before they get kicked. So there is even a work around to this.

    Give players a free item drop for volunteering for autobalance and people would be 100% more likely to do it. The problem always has been that no one cares about their rank because it doesn't actually do anything. Honestly almost all the items that drop are close to worthless nowadays thanks to the idle farms, it really wouldn't effect valve's bottom line to actually properly incentivize players.

    I'm not sure how well getting a random unlocked cosmetic crate after every 50 rank ups would be received in the market. They'd have to be untradable in order to not have an overflow in the market. Plus, there's also a major problem in MvM where you can just rejoin a lobby you were kicked from if you queue for that mission again. It's a pain to deal with when there's a guy who's not playing good or being nice and they just keep on joining.

    If Quickplay isn’t reintroduced, the time wasting of Casual needs to be gutted. Ad-hoc connections need to be added into official servers as well. There needs to be changes to the Alternative gamemodes aswell, things like Payload Race and Doomsday were murdered after MYM.

    (long comment, sorry) Oh hey, epic TF2 video cameo. Thx for hosting that lil event, Squim! Had a lot of fun. And this is an incredible video all around.
    I like the ideas, even if I think the forced autobalance being prioritizing players who just joined opens the gamble of whether or not this player will actually make the slightest difference in the outcome, or if they’re just additional strange point fodder for the enemy team. It also kinda worsens the team-stacking problem with party systems, since, unless they join an already unbalanced in-progress server, that team stack is guaranteed to stay together and continue to dominate much to the dismay of the other team, praying that whoever just filled in some slots on the other team is an actual god or enough people leave that eventually someone from the stack is brought over.
    Other than that, I think they should probably:
    - finish the Beta Maps (Cactus Canyon and Asteroid), or add community-made versions of those maps if Valve can’t fork over like 2 additional programmers for a month or so.
    - fix the coaching system to work with Casual Mode (and in general), maybe like a private spectator slot or two within casual servers.
    - fix the replay achievements, get TF2 back up to date with RUclips’s API.
    - make Alternate Game Modes more visible (or more flashy) for new players. Perhaps rename it to “Arcade Modes” or something (considering half of the shit in Misc. is literally just “Core Game Mode, but with a twist!!”), and then tie contracts or XP bonuses to them or something.
    - (extremely petty ik but) get Standin tf outta the Core Game Modes and into Alternate. Its main mechanic (Domination 3CP/KOTH/whatever) is 100% exclusive to that map, doesn’t line up with anything else in Core. By Valve’s own example of what makes a map “alternate”, that shit has no excuse being in Core when maps like 2fort Invasion, Probed, Snowplow, and Steel are “too different”.
    - give VSH it’s own category in Alternate Game Modes (how the fuck does a 3-map mode like PASS Time have one but not the 4-map VSH?), reuse the Jungle Inferno art if Valve won’t let them have one SFM artist on the team for less than a month.
    - fix Training Mode. They don’t even have to add anything (even if it would be *extremely* beneficial), just fix the bug where the player can get locked out of the other 3 trials after Soldier for no reason.
    - remove the forced settings of Competitive (prevents crashing pre-game).
    - add literally any incentive to play Competitive (ex: the badge cosmetic idea).

    On the note of community servers in the matchmaking pool, it's DEFINITELY a bad idea, as you say. They already do (did?) this for MVM, and I distinctly remember queueing up for boot camp, and being placed in a server where every robot destroyed spawned a level 3 BLU sentry in its place. I wish I had footage of it, but I don't think I used clipping tools back then. Alas!

    i'd like to also see stranges no longer get dropped from cases but strangeifeiers only. also making strangifiers work for any reskins of that specific item. for certain things like the pan strangeifier it would instead apply to all all class melees, this would finally allow strange hams to exist.
    a different idea that could be tried is allow crafting sets of strangifiers together for a chance of a equivalent strangifier or using the class and weapon slot tokens to help craft a specific strangifiers. obviously this would require putting in stranges/strangifiers to get stuff that doesn't currently exist.

      a sniper nerf would indirectly buff heavy a shitload (I would know, I played in most rounds of Shounics no-sniper experiment). Allowing heavy to exist in the open for more than a few seconds indirectly makes him so much more fun and allows items like the Brass Beast or GRU to shine while also teaching Demomen good habits by rewarding them very heavily for shooting team anchors such as heavy himself for greater splash

    "New player experience" needs to be refined, specifically when you load up the game for the first time and like 100 different popups on the main screen are competing for your attention, some of them are glitched, give bad info, or need to be removed. It's overwhelming and works against MYM's streamlined map queuing system
    Fixing the tutorial levels might also be cool, but I'm not holding my breath for those types of changes.

    I think that the idea of making queue penalties based off of kicks isn't really a good idea. Bot hosters can just create more steam accounts to offset the other accounts that are near or have exceeded the cooldown threshold, making the system useless. A bot will just get kicked 19 times, log off, then log back in with another account. A genuine player, however, would definitely suffer from getting a cooldown penalty, creating a situation where the negative effects done to bots is practically nothing, meanwhile the negative effect done to players is severe. Granted, I agree with you that the thresholds you set are high enough to the point where that isn't really likely, but still, it wouldn't really solve the issue.

    My personal list of small additions to tf2:
    - add a way to regain lost achievement items like the halloween items and promotional ones like from poker night, i will forever be saddened that i no longer have a gibus because i was a dumb kid and used it on halloween transmutations of all things, and it seems like such a simple and hassle free addition thay would make alot of people happy
    - more stranges, and more ways to get stranges other than in a crate
    - more festivizer weapons, and more unique festive weapons like the festive bonk and sandvich
    - more reskins, honestly this seems like such an obvious one cause there are thousands of weapon model submissions on the workshop and its obvious valve doesnt wanna add new unique weapons for a long while, but adding new reskins would be a really nice change of pace and pretty easy i would assume

    I’d like to see the Contract system re-vitalized at some point. Have daily and weekly contracts that give various rewards, like those keyless War Paint crates from Jungle Inferno, craft hats, weapons, etc.. The unlocked crate being a free reward would be nice, but Unusuals (and Stranges, to be honest) would need to be untradable/unmarketable, have an even lower chance of dropping, or be pulled from the crates altogether for the economy’s sake.

    Interesting solutions, but most of these problems could be remedied by bringing back quickplay. Not to dismiss the great joy of having bot free servers currently, but simply put, I have played a few of the pubs without bots now, and it all goes back to matchmaking. Matchmaking and casual simply being a boring way to play the game and the idea of community servers being immigrated too in bulk. Migration to community servers unfortunately dying to valve fixing the botproblem. Which was the closest thing to having both intact, but oh well. Let people enjoy casual right now and all that.

    The kick system would be easy to bypass for bot hosters. All they'd need to do is swap out specific groups of bots each month to reset that counter and then repeat the process

    Besides bots and cheaters being gone/reduced in numbers, we really don't have much to ask.
    Some QOL updates would be nice, maybe buff some weapons? But definitely do not nerf any because I know community will overnerf the weapons so Valve shouldn't listen to them, just buff the boring weapons and we're fine.
    Autobalance fix would be nice but not sure if they can fix it.
    Sniper might be one exception and might need some nerf of some kind, a simple tracer rounds on all sniper rifles would be alright and reduce the ammo reserve to 8-10. It may be too simple but let's not get carried away.
    Also add everything "missing" in terms of items of different qualities etc. Add for us strange nessies nine iron dammit! And other non promo items that lack strange quality. Like Cozy Camper that would track self healing done.

    Add ability to queue for workshop maps through matchmaking/quickplay/whatever system replaces it. It's a pain to try to play workshop maps.

    Along with the 12 player que up limit idea, you should be able to que into/join a game of your friend in official valve servers if there is a player slot available. I hated not being able to do that.

      @TechnoBear2099 The bots can and have been joining off of eachother, regardless if you could just hit join game on steam or not. Idk many people who know how to join someone in an official valve, TF2 server, without having been with them from the getgo.
      Also, joining your friend when their team already has a slot open, is not team stacking. It's partying. If one team has less than the other, I should be able to join that team, regardless of witch one my friend is on. Especially if it's a frwsh game. I do not care about competitive ballances for a normal 12 v 12 with random crits, spread and no restrictions. I don't care about comp in general all that much. What you said, if it were for actual competitive mode, I'd say, yeah. Potentially making it optional to kick a rando to let a friend join your comp match is scummy and should not be encouraged. I couldn't give a damn in casual. Let the players decide, in that game, how they want to play it. Don't enforce all of the comp rules in casual. It's annoying for a lot of use to deal with when there is no ballance of sweats and friendlies.
      Sorry if this came off as agressive, I'm not trying to be mean. I'm just annoyed with the fact that because a few exploiters (cheaters) abused a system that was intended for allowing fun times, is now gone, with the original problem still being there. Like when they muted free to plays. All it did was ruin a lot of the experience for everyone, except the bot hosters, who got around that rule in weeks.

    I think we need level rewards. That could potentially help with the volunteering system if that were reimplemented but as a whole I think we should have the option of switching teams back like we used to in quick play with the same conditions as before.
    We could really use spectator to help find cheaters and the like too

    turning metal to taunts is genius! also we need a way to just quickly craft all metal in backpack up into highest grade.

    Amby reverted back before jungle inferno and Spy buffs with him being able to act better like zooming in as sniper or being able to spin up the mini gun as heavy
