Hi mgs783 - I believe 3 strands is the recommendation for this particular piece, but you can certainly use however many strands you prefer for the embroidery! Thanks so much for watching! -Michelle

How many strands of the DMC embroidery thread are used? Does the different stitches use different number of strands? Very cute designs on the series❣️
