The simple art of a picture frame. I'm not a woodworker, so I never would've thought very much about the orientation of the grain along the whole frame until now. If I ever pick up a saw I'll be sure to keep these lessons in mind! My grandparents are "horsey people" and I know they'd absolutely love something like these. Very beautiful!
Interesting, the main thing I find odd is making the slates a permanent fixture rather than an open back like a normal picture frame. Should one fall and break it makes the frame redundant.
