      Couldn’t have said it better myself. The lack of parenting as well as big tech and social media influence will surely run this world to ruin. I believe much sooner than people think. I mean we’re literally watching it happen right now before our very eyes. Anyone who’s actually paying attention would agree. God bless.

    I like your ingenuity. I'm sure you have tested it plenty now to know this, but you should have no issues with the structural integrity. It is overengineered, which is great for your application. I spent 10 years building these out of PVC and never had one fail on me. Great work!

    Cool video, you could try a foot powered air pump/bellows setup for your fuel mixture. I don't know if that's better or not but probably easier than blowing into a hose

    Haha now I know how to plant my potatoes! Hey I watched your whole tank series and this video. Great stuff all the way thru. I wish I had your teachers. You really have great skills and always speak with useful technical knowhow. Your videos are the absolute opposite of artificial intelligence garbage time wasting videos on RUclips and that is why I subscribed. I picture an octopus-like tube inside the combustion chamber that funnels the propane to several spouts inside so as to eliminate the blow tube.

    I really hate people who use propane as a none combusted propellant (obviously he does ignite it here). First of, I think it's a waste. Second, while it is considered a "clean" gas, I don't like the idea of it needlessly being used. Third, its potential far more hazardous if it leaked or ignites. I just think there are far better options. Great vid.

  • @pargunar
    @pargunar 7 лет назад +1

    Nice original idea with the "blow tube". From my experience with potato guns, getting the gasses inside the chamber to get mixed together propperly is usualy solved by a small fan inside it. But the blow tube really matches the simple and funky design you got going, I love it :p

      joel håkansson....
      Yeah... maybe... !??
      But would work by FAR BETTER, if he didn't shut the valve in front of the combustion-chamber before trying to blow through it... !!!!! 😂😂😂
      (Opening it at 13:12 closing emediatly after that at 13:16 !??😂)
      AND btw... even with open valve it isn't working like pretended out of another VERY obvious reason ! 😎😂
      NOW i give you the challenge to find it by yourself to save the tiny rest of reputation ! 😂😂😂

    If you use isobutane as fuel, it has very narrow stechiometry. it only ignets 1-6%, and detonates only at roughly 3.5%. So basically it either shoots or not.
    Also for PVC home depo kids variant, the barrel is too short. that makes it go loud and bang, but if use like 10ft barrel instead of 2-3ft, you get quite a velocity, of around a 12ga standard slug.
    what are combustion chamber dimensions in your variant? I guess you can shurely doubke barrel lengh if you would switch to building a SuperPershing instead

      Can always use a hand pump like a manual blood pressure pad uses. Would only take 1 or 2 pumps with it to mix up the propane, it would also add a bit of oxygen in it instead of carbon dioxide from your breath to make the blast a little more powerful. That in turn could allow you to drop the pressure of the propane to maybe 25psi and get a few more shots from one tank.

    • @thehackmycomputer
      @thehackmycomputer 7 лет назад +2

      lshssprings the blood pressure bulb is a genius idea. Well done.

      @@MacroMachines Why not use a fish tank air pump? Would easily run on 12v used for to start the tank. Just flip a switch and good to go. Mount the pump to the front plate holding the cannon, along with a strap to hold the propane. I'd add a clamp for the ram stick and a small basket to hold several potato "rounds" as well.

  • @hibahprice6887
    @hibahprice6887 2 года назад

    Will the pressure in the tank affect the result? And even if you pump fuel, the maximum that will be, it will not shoot. No matter how it can explode, there are a lot of holes in the barrel and a projectile in the form of potatoes, the friction force of the potato is in no way stronger than the walls of the combustion chamber

  • @barrettbachner8657
    @barrettbachner8657 4 года назад +1

    this is really cool, but why not use a pneumatic cannon, you can get the same if not more pressure and projectile velocity, but its more reliable.

    • @alphanukleus3447
      @alphanukleus3447 7 лет назад +2

      They are illegal because it is a device that shoots a projectile through a barrel and thus the definition of a gun is largely fulfilled. You are not allowed to build guns ("guns") here without licens (gunsmith)

    • @alphanukleus3447
      @alphanukleus3447 7 лет назад +2

      It is, of course, legal to build a mini-tank in Germany, but it can be difficult to get a permit to drive on the road. I do not know if it is legal to build, which looks like war machines.

    • @rbn_hmrs541
      @rbn_hmrs541 7 лет назад +1

      no prob with this but you are not allowed to armor it just take a old chassis (the rules for a vehicle are the rules the chassis had when it got manufactured in germany) so just take a Käfer or beetle in us and mount that stuff on it the only problem will be the tracs and the "TÜV"

    Do you really think you can blow through a check valve that's being held closed by 30psi?
    Edit: actually it wouldnt be 30 psi by the time it expands in the combustion chamber and by the size of it the pressure most likely is cut down by more than half, probably low enough your lungs can overcome it. Nvm my other comment. I bet you're still losing pressure around the spud core though.

  • @jaycobfoyel5073
    @jaycobfoyel5073 4 года назад

    Don't waist your money or time with this method pvc works just as well all you have to do is attach a pressure gauge to your combustion chamber to control how much propane you put in.

  • @kalleklp7291
    @kalleklp7291 5 лет назад

    You don't have "a known amount of propane each time.." Ever heard about pressure changes? Is the pressure in the propane tank the same every time? Is the temperature the same every time? The list goes on and on..
