  • Going over how to play 'Love Fool' by the Cardigans. Check out the video of me and Kindred first or this might not make any sense:

    A little about me:
    Sean Daniel is a man. A man of simple needs and desires. And the one desire, no, the one NEED, that stands above all is to spread the challenges, joy and intellectual stimulus of music to people of Earth and beyond.
    Born on the mean streets of upper middle class suburban Chicago, Sean learned the ways of the world through the dizzying heights of success to the lonesome depths of failure and emerged with the promise of a better tomorrow reflecting in his eyes and fiery passion in his belly.
    He plays and teaches guitar on his RUclips channel where he regularly releases original music and projects to the adulation of legions of fans, who often compare him to Chris Pratt and one time Ryan Reynolds. He’s currently in the market for a nice leather jacket.

    Ok, so I was having some nostalgia like a week ago and wanted to learn how to play the Final Fantasy theme (I've wanted to learn it for years), and I stumbled on your tutorial of it.
    Now tonight, this song randomly popped in my head (another song I always wanted to learn) and now I find out you did a tutorial for this, too!
    *X-files theme plays*
    Seriously, though, thank you for your videos. They're extremely helpful!

    Great video! not only is it generally a really cool song to learn, but one simultaneously learns to become fluent in playing some of these really cool "jazzy" chords that a beginner style player like myself never learn on my own to explore or to apply in music! Grateful, thanks!

    Always secretly admired the track....I like tutorials that call strings by name....I'm not gonna hate and focus on the possitive. Cool arrangement. But it's all about the chorus and that infectious riff.
    And ur funny to!
    Peace n love bro

    Nice Bossa Nova style Sean. Gonna check out or you have a tutorial about " The Girl from Ipanema" from Jobim. Still digging out your channel now. That's one of the most nicest South American songs in my opinion. The thing is.. what's the best real way to play that. There are soooo many versions of this . Something that works with these type of chords would be nice. Thanks again for the lesson Sean. Greetz from Belgium.

      I don't have a tutorial on that BUT I did Waters of March by Jobim, that's a great one to try:

    You just might do this eh? as in, YOU DEFINITELY WILL DO A TUTORIAL YOU ROGUE YOU. haha thank you. I tried figuring this out based on the music video you did but this definitely cleared up a few things I missed. Quality cover and I love this tutorial. Thank you fine sire

    • @SeanFarFlung
      @SeanFarFlung 6 лет назад

      For example I was doing fully diminished chords after the CM7 and Dm7 chords in the pre-chorus but clearly I have to improve my ear and eye around diminished chords. Thank you sir for making this quality resource,

    • @SeanFarFlung
      @SeanFarFlung 6 лет назад +1

      Actually I kinda prefer the sound of using fully diminished chords instead of half-diminished chords in that part now that I try both. Gonna take what you gave and do my own thing with it :O

    cool way to play the song! but chordwise high above me. need at least another year, right now I am doing the maj and min triads on strings e, B, G. Then intensify the Blues. And then, to jazz up the Blues, the (barre) maj7 (the open ones are already used!) and other beautiful sounding chords. You see, my madness has a plan! :-)

    Good try but . . . a couple of parts do not really work. There are three chords that need to change in the "chromatic" part. Also, if you are doing "bossa," cannnot be just half-ass strumming, you HAVE to approximate the Gilberto's syncopation, otherwise it sounds too amateurish. Pardon my bluntness.
