For a guy who is using them for dog training you have a great setup. You're not a racing guy. So, you don't care if they hang on the roof for a while. The sand floor, the grit, having a trap for them to go thru. Its a great setup for pet pigeons and you can enjoy your birds and use them for training. It's fun to see how far they come back from and watching them fly around the house and property.
I used to rattle a can of feed when I tossed them , doing that when feeding the birds in the loft , they then know what the sound is and they go in the loft a lot faster if they are good and hungry.
Thank you for showing what your doing, my heart races seeing the 9 birds in the box. I feel my ancestors have used this method. I feel this Inside. I have to do this.
Pink Gun (from Jordans Harvest And Bobby Guys channel) There was two sitting on the roof behind you just before you turned the corner the first time. Have you thought about offset stacking the nesting boxes as well as individual landings instead of full length landings? You should be able to double to triple the amount of boxes you can have.
You want some no bs old school winning knowledge. Look up Danny. On RUclips. Old chap that is giving away priceless knowledge you can’t obtain anywhere
Hi Think you need to watch other pigeon loft boxes , must be hard cleaning up in the barrels…. Never seen a nesting box made of barrels and I probably never seen one ever again… change them !!

Our setup has changed a lot in the past few years! Ethan actually does do a lot of racing now.

Thanks for the suggestion!
Thanks!

How do you buy homing pigeons?
What distance you looking to fly them?
@@StandingStoneKennels I have a couple nice fields within 5 miles but I'm thinking I just need the basics (bird dog exposure) for now
If you keep breeding I would slap au rings on there and invest in some better perches so you dont get messed up feathers
How much can they carry
Mashallah and welcome to my channel all about the goldfinch ❤👌
Controversial question but should I teach a GSP to sit down
You can, just don't put a big emphasis on it. I wouldn't collar condition the behavior, but being able to sit is a good obedience
