Rdr2 is a very very cinematic game even without mods and lets all remember its from 2018 over 5 years ago

It'll jump over the bar but not high. Look at the trailer, characters still look a lil bit cartoonish.
@@1758 - Yeah it will still be an improvement over even Red Dead Redemption 2 and Cyberpunk 2077... I have absolutely no doubt that Rockstar Games will put on a masterclass of gaming development... plus I know they also just pack it with things to do and discoveries waiting to be uncovered. people are still finding new things in Red Dead Redemption 2 after years of gameplay.. I know that GTA 6 will be the same. Just imagine how good GTA 6 will look on say maybe a ps6,, ps6 pro,, or even how good GTA 7 will look on the PS7 in the 2030s.
It still blows my mind just how detailed Red Dead 2 was for a game that came out 5 years ago. Imagine what they'll pull off in GTA 6. gonna be absolutely mindblowing.
I feel like they just did the rdr2 to be a prototype for GTA 6 visual int. 😂
But there will not be much of nature to enjoy.

I'm so lost when it comes to how all this is done but holy shit does it look good!
basically these games have a program called ReShade that can be installed on top of them which adds visual effects that a user can turn on and off. People like this guy usually sell their configurations of ReShade on these games (presets) for money. It's not worth it though and you should just make your own. ReShade is free aswell.
Exactly my first thought, like the sheer amount of work is just outclass.

Just imagine gta 6 after 7 years from red dead 2😮 it will be mind blowing.
Remember that RDR2 came out to PC back in 2019 when the 2080 TI was the strongest so we could only have this performance and visuals 3 years later with the 4090.
So imagine GTA 6 around 2028 when there will be cards like 7090 and maybe even DLSS 5 and FSR 5 at that point and also some insane monitors and TVs as well with several thousands nits of max brightness for truly good HDR.
That's when GTA 6 will truly shine.

To be fair, all you need to do to surpass UE5 is to have the game not stutter and actually utilise the CPU and GPU 🤷

I dont really think this level of artistry can be surpassed, ever. No matter how much we progress. Unless they make an RDR3 with the same developers and artists.

when you have a 4090, settings don't matter anymore,
I got one, that's why I'm asking. I'm using 2.25x DLDSR with a 3440x1440 resolution with DLSS quality to counter the bad aliasing - that's where settings start to matter even with a 4090.

@@spyrow9957 about 5 min into the game the npc and trees and textures start dissapearing and then i cant do anything or go into menu, can just stand still while it all stops working, but it dosnt crash the game. have to ctrl-alt-del to get out of it
@@samons4002 Never heard from that before. Make a post about it on the rdr2 subreddit, I am sure someone can help you with it. Would be sad if you couldnt enjoy the game because of this weird problem. Good luck mate!

I have to admit this game looks fantastic on my 3090ti in 4k so I can imagine what it looks like on a 4090 In 8k
Just sharpened image nothing to see.
The thing is if you going from 1080p to 4k there is a huge difference
But from 4k to 8k the pixels becomes so dense to the point all you see is sharpen images.
Which you can achieve that with Reshade is you already running the game at 4k.
I imagine in 50 Years people will be running RDR2 on Max Settings at 4k 300+ FPS. It will be like looking into another dimension like that
In 50 years it would be rather 1000000 fps and You would need to emulate retro PC.

Do you have an updated Modlist for it? There's only the modlist from August 2022 on Nexusmod. Mods like Vestigia aren't even listed on that one.

How do I fix the broken distant screen space shadows in this game? I can see them loading as I turn the camera and I’m on a 4090.
This is nowhere near realism. It's about as close as we can get *right now* and it looks fine, but there's not a sane person alive who would mistake this for real life. We're still 3-4 generations from that, and even then, it would be limited by artist skill.
What is sad is we are 25 years in the 21st and console & most PCs still don't have photo real graphics. Immersion is an even bigger problem. Everything you can do in RL should be in the game. Instead story/quests/gun play/building is all gamers care about. What about random encounters? I want to enter in buildings in GTA and have things to interact with depending on building. GTA style TV shows, radio, games, books to read, net, other RL stuff in your player home or where ever in Starfield. One thing in Skyrim homes is pretty to look at but nothing to do or interact with, basically concept of all games.
Not a game, but a way of living.
I have an RX 5600, cost like £300 about 3 years ago. Honestly the difference in graphics is negligible.

@@DigitalDreamsyt Should make another video and install a recently released visual overhaul called Collyrium Redone looks REALLY good especially during thunderstorms or when the clouds start breaking apart with the sun shining through.
