The whole point of DH is that it lets you turn the render distance way DOWN to like 4 - 8 and get a long view distance
True I could’ve lowered my render distance for better performance
if you have an higher end pc and you can play with an higher actual render distance you shold do it. the higher is the distance of the switch between dh loaded chucks and chunck loaded for real the better it's gonna look overall.
@@alessandrogiavazzidiminishing returns my friend, even if your kitted out with 128gb of ddr5 ram and a Godly CPU, theres no point in investing all those resources into a long render distance when you cant notice the tiny details in the distance to begin with. If your using a high intensity pbr resourcepack with a ton of custom 3D models and animations then having your render distance too high could overload the GPU's memory in certain biomes like Jungle. (This is because of too many vertices in the models which takes up VRAM) If you wanted to get the best of both worlds *and* use a high intensity resourcepack with shaders then the DH+Iris+Bliss combo is currently the only thing that allows that right now. I do however agree that turning your render distance down to like 5 with DH+Iris looks icky, it should be atleast 10+ imo in order to look any good.
Hopefully as time goes by, it will get more stable and more shaderpack creators will update their packs to work with DH.
@@gavinferguson2938”My friend” your wrong. The switch from normal chunks to DH rendered chunks from 8 render distance is horrible. From 32 render distance almost seamless. If that’s diminishing returns then you’re blind.

Hey bro how to download Minecraft java
props to this guy for using distant horizons WITH max vanilla render distance
Just wait till the “how to build a modern house in Minecraft” population Hears about this
The 4080 is barely being used, meanwhile your CPU is maxed out. You need to get Sodium and NVidium to better balance that load

Made with Java, what do you expect? It’s not even new Java either, doesn’t even have an applicable JIT enabled. Sodium does the bare minimum really, but you can try and switch to a better JVM at the risk of instability.
Lower your render distance, you have distant horizon to compensate for lower render distance, that's the whole point of it
Edit: Thanks for 100 likes, most I've ever gotten s comment
Also turn down the simulation distance and use nvidium
@@BoyWhoLikesMinecraftPvp Nvidium don't work with shaders.
@@13_cmi why souldnt it?
maybe I'm wrong, but if he lowers his render distance while using a texture pack, wouldn't the difference between DH lod and real world generation be way too noticiable? There would be a line where the blocks go from Patrix x128 to the distant horizon's fake blocks and it would probably stick out like a sore thumb
@@sk8_bort That's where the shaders enters, becasue of it, you can't really notices the difference between the real chunks and lod ones, except if you really pay attention to it.
Tip for anyone trying this yourself. you can (and maybe should) turn your vanilla render distance WAYY down after distant horizons is on for much better performance. you could turn it down as low as 4 if you wanted, but id recommend at least 8-12 or maybe even 16
It also doesnt load the RAM the way it should. Only 15 GB, but should be closer to 27 GB. He has some problem with his RAM.

Just something to make the world feel more alive.

Too many threads allocated and not using the graavl VM enterprise edition of Java lowers performance.
@@whatistruth_1graavel VM enterprise Java? Hol up, do java versions make that much of a difference?
@@whatistruth_1The what now?
@@gavinferguson2938 graalVM is an alternate java virtual machine ( a virtual environment where java code is compiled into java bytecode and then it is executed ) that adds a lot of optimizations and improves code execution performance significantly. By, default JVM ( java virtual machine ) is the default, which is very good at optimizing Java code and making it efficient, but its default garbage collection technique can cause performance drops, as it has pause the entire java process until the GC has been completed, graalVM improves that and a bunch other technical stuff.
@@gavinferguson2938yes, there are better versions of java that can make the game run better. mojang prebundles an old and poop version of java with their game, but in lots of launchers, you can point it to run off of a custom version of java if you have it installed. definitely look it up, i'm sure someone around has tested which ones are best for certain hardware combinations
You should look into other performance mods that can further increase FOS like Sodium and NVidium

what AIO for CPU do you use? 84C sounds impressive in this scene, or u just lock temp?
No the thing is distant horizon relies heavily on cpu that’s why it’s so high. Specs are in description
nah, thats really low, because my 13700k melting on 95c, when i try to load 300 LOD, there is nothing in the description about cooling systems, can u tell it?@@JbuildsGaming

Wow there’s a game a haven’t heard of in 10+ years! What a throw back!
The dream monn, this have me in aww 😍 Love it 🇻🇨🔥
Allow it more ram and it will run at just as good fps given you have the ram to allow. I would assume you would having a 4080. My 3090 gets like 90fps max render and with distant horizons and bliss shaders. I had to up the allowed ram to the session to eliminate stutters and frame drops
Thx i need this😂
wich CPU U using?
Wow ta un pc de la nasa pour faire tourner minecraft ultra réaliste 🤩
cool
If I do the same thing with my computer. I can make a toast with it.
Try doing Max Render + Bliss Shaders + Patrix x128 + Distant Horizons + Terralith + Amplified world
I can try but it’ll give me like 10fps since distant horizon mod has bad performance and it relies on the cpu rather than gpu
Funny thing we can hearn fire sound in the end of video (Bros pc need some chil after this)
bro nice video like for you
How did you got Bliss shaders compatible with Distant horizons mod?
Wow
If minecraft wasnt so cpu bound itd run so much better, its not even using the gpu to the fullest. Then again realistically whos maxing the draw dist when playing, does look cool though. As a kid with my igpu i rem getting low fps in minecraft and sorta just dealing with it and got use to it, got a 4080 super now and a 7800x3d and now even heavily modded/shaded does a nice 240 fps at 1440p (with it capped to monitor specs) shame a lot of my childhood modpacks r like, gone. Might have to dig out some old hard drives and see if i can find em. Rip orespawn

i dont get the DH setting option on bliss SHADER im using nvidium sodium and bliss gimme some tips pls
Try launching it without nvidium I think nvidium turns off once shaders are activated. Plus it’s pretty difficult to download and make it work I can make a tutorial
i cant run DH without nvidium and its not i tried it on forge with embeddium + oculus still it didnt render more than 32 chunks@@JbuildsGaming
why would u put distant horizons and max render at the same time
meu pc ficando quente só de ver esse vdo ksksks
I think we're both inspired building a hobbit house by jackfrostminer
Having render distance on max is stupid since DH renders the chunks and doesn't take that much performance compared to the normal render distance and I genuenly never recommend using simulation and shadow distance at all since they don't really do anything or you barely notice any difference and they take a lot of performance
I think i’ll just wait for a quantum laptop😂
Why the cpu usage more than gpu? Is it because of rams or something?
El problema de fps bajos por falta de VRAM no por el procesador, por eso marca un bajo uso de la tarejeta grafica, por que tiene saturada la VRAM
geeze how does your computer handle that?? 😂 Stunning view!
the RTX 4080 is one of the best graphics cards out there and the ryzen 9 7950X3D is the best ryzen CPU that is made for gaming. So it can be possible for a computer this good to handle these graphics however what he forgot to do is to turn the render distance down after he applied distant horizon to it. Distant horizon is a modpack that allows you to see even further than you actually are supposed to without having framedrops.
This guy's computer should be running this MUCH better, but he left his full render distance maxed out at 32 chunks. Which is very counter productive with this mod.
And he also put 300 chunks for the DH mod, a bit overkill 😂. The CPU is being held hostage by rendering a billion chunks for the mod. Hence the aweful framerate.
I tried this out on my PC and I'm getting anywhere from 60-100 fps
Mod chunks set to 150, normal chunks set to 12. Mod quality at maximum.
Plus a 7800x3d cpu doesn't hurt. But this guy also has a very powerful CPU, so he's just pushing it too hard for no reason.
How is your pc not about to become an atomic bomb?
It was close pretty sure woke up the entire estate with the fans anyway 😂
u don't need max render with distant horizon. just 12-16 chunk and distant horizon is enough and you still can use shader with 60 fps ex.
Me about to try this on a laptop 😁
Nah dude, that became cursed
You got to up the resolution if u want to hit more usage towards the gpu, good try tho.
What is your cpu doing that's causing you to have such a massive bottleneck even at 4k with shaders before you even start rendering LODs with dh? You should have been much closer to 60fps than you were for a lot of the video, especially at the end where you only have ~30% gpu utilisation.
I think that could be caused by me using the afterburner fps counter as well as recording on obs in 4k
Si tardaran una o dos versiones en sacar algo parecido o mejor a distant horizons, minecraft reviviria.
Para hacer eso tendrían que hacer dos o 3 versiones dedicadas solo a la optimizacion
everytime we have a new series of graphic cards doesnt matter if it was gtx 1080 ti or like this rtx 4080 shaders in mc will always bring them down to 40 fps
this is minecraft graphics community at its peak
Scale down you render distance to 12 and let the DH do the rest it surely gets over 400 fps at 1440p

7950x3d has issues with some games running on the normal core side vs the x3d side.... sometimes the game doesn't properly use the right side it needs. its why people recommend buying the 7800x3d over the 7950x3d. im surprised that minecraft with such basic settings and running max distance halfed your fps.... i find that odd considering how easy the game is to render.
max render plus bliss shaders was better than everything else
