    You can use a plastic bag and put it on the filter while removing it. So that way no oil drip on the subframe 😉
    Great video, thanks

      Yeah, I have done that in the past. I should try that next time.

      @@PaulNaylor3 Honda is also selling a tool called oil deflector part # VSB02C000052

      I will look into that, thank you!

      My local Honda dealer wants $55 plus tax for that deflector funnel. The cheapest I found online was $31 plus tax & shipping. At that price I think I will just continue putting something over that crossbar to protect it.

    Love my Ridgeline. HATE changing the oil. Such a dumb place for an oil filter.

    Wheel needs to be removed to get to the oil filter?!?

    • @PaulNaylor3
      @PaulNaylor3  6 месяцев назад +3

      If you watched the video, you will see that I removed the front passenger side tire. However, you can get to it by turning the wheels to the right and reaching your arm in between the tire and the vehicle to get to it and you can probably also get to it by sliding underneath the front. There are no skid plates or body panels to remove or anything like that.
