Fun fact: Johnny Test was originally for Nickelodeon, since its creator Scott Fellows worked on the network as staff writer for The Fairly OddParents and Danny Phantom and he created some live-action shows like Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide. Here’s another bizarre one: In Saudi Arabia, Futurama aired on a children’s channel known as SpaceToon. The dub was heavily edited regarding material not appropriate for kids and material that’s illegal in the country (such as women showing exposed skin, meaning they edited a blue long-sleeved shirt underneath Leela’s tank top). They even changed the intro drastically and I found a Saudi Arabian on Reddit saying that Bender drinks robot oil instead of alcohol in said dub. Also according to a Twitter user the channel’s website sold a DVD of the dub at one point.

Eventually, Cartoon Network Latin America added the block around 2005, but it never caught on. They tried to revive it on different channels across the region, but people always complained that it didn't have any anime shows. Same goes to "Arthur" on Nickelodeon in the UK (it also aired on Cartoon Network and Boomerang in LATAM and Disney Channel in Southeast Asia). Also, "FRIENDS" ON DISNEY CHANNEL!?! How a Mexican child would like to tell you that in fact the Fairly OddParents were broadcast on Disney thanks to the fact that they were previously broadcast on jetix (predecessor of Disney XD) which was previously fox kids
However, every Fairly OddParents product that contained Poof and other later things was broadcast by Nickelodeon, in fact here the Nicktoons Unite saga is not as well known but Yes it came under the name of SpongeBob and friends, I would also like to add that there are 2 Mexican open television channels that broadcast The Fairly OddParents despite being competition, one goes from seasons 1-5 and the other goes through the subsequent ones.
The crossover with Jimmy Neutron had a different cast in the dubbing thanks to this licensing problem, which made the first special part of the Jimmy Neutron series.
In fact, the voices of Jimmy Neutron's characters were also changed for the other 2 crossover specials.

I know you aren't making anymore of these videos and you've probably been told some of this since the original uploads but I'm pretty sure the reason why Nick Germany aired Adventure Time and Gumball and Disney Channel Germany aired We Bare Bears and PPG 2016 is because both channels are regular over-the-air channels over there.
Here in Britain, regardless whether a cartoon is a product of Nick, Cartoon Network or Disney, it has varied which free channel it aired/airs on over here, Nick less so since Paramount bought Channel 5 sometime in the 2010s:
Children's BBC aired Rugrats, The Wild Thornberries and (although not a cartoon) Lizzie McGuire
Citv aired Hey Arnold!, Cow & Chicken, I Am Weasel and Chowder
Channel 4 aired Johnny Bravo and CatDog
Channel 5 aired the original Powerpuff Girls, Bear in The Big Blue House and The Book of Pooh, but since Paramount bought them, they've been how one can watch Nick Jr shows without a Sky or Virgin TV subscription, including Paw Patrol, Top Wing, Becca's Bunch and the Paddington reboot
However, that hasn't stopped Channel 4 from airing Nickelodeon movies, they've re-aired the Rugrats movies many Christmases in the 2010s and aired Paw Patrol The Movie on New Year's Day this year (2024 if you're reading this at a later date) and last year, CBBC started airing Nick's new Transformers cartoon, Transformers Earthspark!
From my experience, what channels certain cartoons air on in which countries varies quite a bit, it can either be due to the show's home cable channel not existing in that country or just whoever beats everyone else to the show in question.
Untalkative Bunny aired on Disney Channel here in the UK but aired on Cartoon Network in Japan
Angela Anaconda aired on Fox Kids in the US but here in the UK, it aired on Cartoon Network and Channel 4 when it was new, and aired on Pop later that decade
Ned's Newt aired on Disney Channel over here when it was new, but in the 2000s aired on Cartoon Network
Baby Blues aired on Cartoon Network here in the UK, NOT Adult Swim, and words like anus and penis are uncensored!
MLP: FiM aired on Boomerang over here when it was new, but sometime after they gave up, it returned to our screens via Tiny Pop! It aired on Nick Jr over in the Netherlands!
Because Discovery Kids closed here in the UK in 2007, Kenny The Shark aired on DMAX
Despite Nickelodeon launching in France in 2005, in 2007, SpongeBob could be found on another French cartoon channel, Teletoon in 2007! (NOT related to the Canadian channel! Maybe this was due to a contract that hadn't expired yet?)
There are more examples I know of, but I gotta go before I get exhausted trying to remember exactly what they are. Have a good one!

They also cut the "And Now A Word From Us Kids" segments from the episodes as well. Likely because of them being filmed in America.

I kinda gasped when Philippines aired The Simpsons on Cartoon Network, but then I remembered that The Simpsons airs on Télétoon (Cartoon Network Canada's sister French channel) in Canada, Québec.
I say this in present tense because it's still airing at 6 PM EST since decades, it's like a tradition for us there. And they are even uncensored as they are giving a supervision warning every time it airs. Right now it airs 2 episodes every day between both batches of Teen Titans GO! episodes.
Edit: The new episodes with their Canadian French dub airs on the night-block Télétoon la nuit (Teletoon at Night) and their dubs for Season 32 and beyond stay exclusive there and not on Disney+, the dub is only present for Season 1 - 31. Télétoon mostly airs the episodes with Flash animations while the hand-drawn animations are airing on the V channel.

In Germany the early fairly oddparents seasons aired both on Disney Channel, Toon Disney and Nickelodeon (and on a few different locals channels). For Rick And Morty it also airs on Adult Swim, but most people in Germany don't have Pay TV so Comedy Central airs a lot of various shows as Free TV premiere just like Nickelodeon and Disney Channel. Old episodes of Spongebob are aired on Comedy Central and MTV as most old Spongebob fans are adults now. For Friends airing on Disney Channel Germany, it's because after 8 pm they often air programming made for adults

  • @TricksterZorua
    @TricksterZorua 3 месяца назад +2

For some context why adult cartoons air on Comedy Central in DE, NL etc., is because Adult Swim isn't really a thing around these parts. CN and Boomerang does exist, but not Adult Swim. Comedy Central is the only adult cartoon channel essentially in some parts of Europe.

Here where I live (Romania) The Fairly OddParents has been broadcasted on three networks: first on an obscure British owned kids network called KidsCo, then on Disney Channel, then on actual Nickelodeon with a Romanian dub. I say "with a Romanian dub" because Nickelodeon did show Fairly OddParents in English before KidsCo launched. Also, that KidsCo network used to show Pelswick and goddamn Even Stevens.

my family is from the Philippines and the Simpsons magazine thing is in English because English is one of the national languages in the country. They barely translate anything from the U.S. to Tagalog because English is taught widely in their schoolings and majority of the Philippines understand English. I have watched TV in the country and the cartoons are either Tagalog or English. Not one or the other. It depended on the tv shows if it never had a Tagalog sub. if it did, they won't show it in English. . I've seen a lot of shows that aired in odd channels there too.

33:05 Arthur on Nickelodeon presumably may have ended around 2002. In the UK, currently Arthur airs on CBBC, the BBC's network for older kids that launched in February 2002, so it's possible that the BBC may have bought the right to air the show on that channel from WGBH, or outbid Nickelodeon if there was some sort of bidding process. As someone who was an older kid around that time I can recollect seeing the show being the first thing that would show upon signing on for the day since around 2002-2003.
