I’ve followed you for a couple of years, here and there. And I’m barely seeing this video, and I’m so thankful you made videos about additives and the amount of knowledge you have. But I’m also saddened cuz Addictivo was my favorite. Lol also, when I first started drinking tequila I started with Gran Centenario, and I remember going back to it and thinking it taste different. I’m glad I wasn’t crazy cuz you kinda confirmed it for me. My taste buds do not lie, and neither do yours! Keep doing what you do man! Great stuff

Hi Times - great tequila selection. I find your shopping trip videos really interesting - it is helpful to see you scan the shelves and give a quick thumbs up/thumbs down on the tequilas in stock. I am always on the look out for a good liquor store within driving distance of the LA area so please keep them coming. If you find your way to Tlaquepaque it would be great to see you take us through shelves at El Buho.

Is 512 diffused too? That's from Texas. It's like half of the products are not good quality or they are celebrity tequilas. There are many many good tequilas but the industry is kind of depressing. At the end is all about the money.
It's not diffused but it's from a bad contract distillery that makes mostly garbage for people that want to buy a tequila brand.

Used to be good but now isn't. pass for me.
Fast forward 4 years and a lot of that tequila is super hard to find you now

I picked up a bottle of the Suerte Blanco last weekend and loved it. I've been sitting on a bottle of Fortaleza Reposado for a few week that I haven't opened. It was kind of hard to find where I am from. Trying to decide what to have this weekend. Life's big decisions. Thanks for the review.

It surprised😨 me you said stay away from El Jimador. Most forums I've been on that discuss tequila praise the juice.
Nope.. Made with a big machine called a Diffuser.. Don't touch it.. Not good quality tequila.

I always leave there with a bottle of 7 Lauguas Reposado. I'm not very adventurous.
7 leguas is GOOD TEQUILA. You could have left with worse..

That's what they say.. but wherever there is a diffuser you can bet they are using it!

1. Have you ever visited Jalisco as we would like to go.
2. You mention "Difused" often. Can you elaborate?
3.. I see several tequilas on other reviews high recommended like Clase Azul and you don't seem to like them. Can you tell us more on why?
I am glad you like the channel and it has helped you. I would be glad to answer your questions.
1) Yes, many times. You can watch the video on Terralta and see pictures from the distillery when I visited.
2) A diffuser is a machine that some distilleries use to make tequila that is more efficient than traditional processes but makes lower quality tequila. Brands that use them are brands like Jose Cuervo, Cazadores, Hornitos, Sauza and more. its large industrial brands.
3) Clase Azul among others used artificial sweeteners and additives to make their tequila taste better. THey taste artifical and not like real tequila. People that don't know better like them because they are sweet and vanilla-y. I don't like that in tequila. I like the natural flavors.

Just by tasting it.. Overly sweet or an abundance of vanilla or caramel..

Additive bombs are tequilas that use artificial flavoring to enhance the flavor of the tequila. it can be sweeteners, vanilla, oak, or caramel flavoring among some others..
@@TheTequilaHombre is there a way to know which ones when your standing in front of your bottle? To me don julius blanco... smelled way to vanilla like... but I didnt know some brands use these. Where can I find the info... I haven't noticed tequila match maker lists if additives or not.

@@TheTequilaHombre Should try, it's another Denomination of Origin Called Sotol , it comes from a totally diferent plant.. called ,yes, Sotol. from northern Mexico particularly from Chihuahua. And there is another destillate from other agave called Bacanora thats is from Sonora

I buy much better juice watch videos and asking in FB. My collection is coming along a lot better. The store people don't know crap.
