This is what I’m talking about, Bolo! Unlike many other creators, you are actually teaching the community about the technical sides of the craft, showing us things that these other guys prefer to hide. Salute to the brother Javar for showing us his process and setup.
@gkeneralred2380 facts. If you have physical gear you would understand my comment better. The addition of physical gear with plugins can create something that you cannot replicate. Like the Spl Big knob. You can be as intuitive as you want but you can't recreate that sound and feeling
@@wallykuhlenberg I did away with the synths and other pieces because for me it took time much time away from actually creating. I definitely understand ya sentiment because using gear and vsts together are very powerful.
*From sound selection to chord progressions, even the key velocity and counter melody creation. It's always nice to watch and listen to what happens when talented people get their hands on equipment. Because all that gear aint doin SHYAT without the experience and the ears in that room. I Appreciate you bringing us along for the cookup Bolo, Javar and the fam* This goes hard for real.
I love VSTs but I have So much Fun with my Hardware Gear. It’s like a timeless experience because a lot of the sounds you create, you can’t go back to it after printing them(On the Hardware) So it Inspires to create other sounds that are similar but not quite the same and that’s a Great Thing. It’s this Nice & Smooth Randomness that is very inspirational. I love some VSTs but I can’t recall having that feeling

I am so glad you mention that about owning the gear instead of buying apps. My home boy has kept Mac mother boards because of the apps only available for the OS system.
@@Javarrockamore When he was talking working with the the Mid/Side. I've never heard anybody talk about there being noise there though. Just compressing it
I legit went through the exact same situation with H-delay the other day. I don't use it everyday, so I thought it was a piece of my hardware that was noisy, but it was that damn knob on H-delay lol.
ok...my desk looks crazy and i just said homie needs cable management...then bolo just said..that's what a real producers desk looks like....now i'm confused. i love a clean setup but after i do it...the next day it's fkd again lol
That’s a mean setup jack! Lol. Nice as hell bro, almost overkill! To those that don’t know what you’re looking at, just know it’s the best of the best, and the bag spent must have been astronomical!💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾
This is a great video!!! That 3rd wave is slept on!!!! 12 oscillators!?!??! No wonder this dude goin crazy with all the hardware! Its really fun to watch yall go deep into the why behind the what. Explaning why it makes sense to have all the analog gear and the difficulties of working with software is a great contrast from all the other guys making weak beats in FL.
I've been looking at the 3rd Wave for a while now. It's really sweet that you can route external audio through it and has analog filters in it. It's just super pricey but they did come out with the cheaper desktop version (still pricey).
If this function is really important for you, get a second hand Elektron Analog Four mk1 maybe at 500$ or euro. Can route also external signal stereo or 2 mono, has 2 analog filters and effects you can use. And a great sequencer.
Nice!!! This is exactly what I been trying to see! How well the MPC Key 37 works when connected to a bunch of hardware synths. Thanks for the vid! Def buying the MPC Key 37 after watching this.
But it can last forever. Those VSTs can stop being supported 5 years from now then what? You can ALWAYS plug your gear in 20-30 years from now without worrying about if your computer still supports it.
Bcoz Vst's won't cost me 2,000$ (USD)/ 308,000$ (JMD) before shipping roughly 500,000 after 😂 😂 😂 😂 average person don't have Millions to Spend on Synths, yes I said millions
@@JayfkProductions876 yeah.. I’m convinced your whole perception is wrong. Not sure why you’re saying millions. Most people sell their synths to help fund the next adventure they’d like to explore. It’s not rocket science how this works. You can literally buy a few “hardware synths” for a few hundred dollars 😆 I own a 3rd Wave, OB-X8, Prophet 10 and a Montage M. I don’t make millions.. I’m comfortable enough to be able to afford these synths (with my priorities being taken care of as well) and I’m no where near the millions. Maybe 15-20k worth of stuff realistically. Did I need all of the gear I have? No. But I “prefer” it. And like I mentioned earlier. If I decided to hold on this stuff until I was 90 years old, I can. I’d be able to power it on, plug in some audio cables, and play it just as the day I bought it. If you have a favorite VST you REALLY like, you have to hold on to that computer forever and never update it to the latest firmware or you might be shit out of luck once it loses support (which it eventually will).

That skinny pimp sample.......yessuuuuuuuh! Memphis influencing everything!
committing to your sound makes everything different! dope video bro
And when you have physical gear, you develope your own sound
True!
Dave Pensado has another opinion.
U develop ya sound by being intuitive whether u have physical gear or not

Homie have put some acoustic treatment, dope, that was only what was missing on the previous video, he done read the comments haha
Naw fam didn’t have to read the comments to know that . I had just moved into the spot last video

Gotta be a hot mess I'm geeeked up I dying for the 🔊 Bass crank that bihch eq 15 racks omg 😲
Please get them to understand how important gain staging is. The pulse 16 is a nice piece of gear. I'm looking at one to go with my Arturia 16R

That Sample chop beat was legendary it got that old Skool trunk rattle type vibe
This is a great interview! Good to see someone using hardware like this!
taht"s dope💯
Studio Electronics ATC-1 was my favorite. I liked it better then the Voyager I had.
4:21 if you know you know. Those are big boy synths. I stand with this dudes opinion on the 3rd wave.
Now I like this shit right here. Analog Heaven!

Got that Memphis vibe going. SALUTE FROM THE Big M

Very cool process and a lovely Community 🙏😌
The Eventide 9000 is also a freak of audio nature
Sitrukain here, by the way, a decimator pro G will take care of that white noise, hum and any noise.
Thanks for posting this video Bolo this is epic!

Those barefoot monitors are 8 to 10 grand easy!
I'm looking at a used pair for $7k
yeah he got that shit!
Beautiful Setup!
Love the message that you're trying to send Bolo but always remember Synths are Super Expensive and They Break too.. 😂.. no method is perfect
Great point! However, Good thing about them is they can be fixed and updated for a lot less than previous years. And, usually they hold a decent value

If you're setup is not right yes. But as long as you have the right cables and proper gear the noise is minimal.
