A man-bird friendship that led to an FIR | BBC News India

In February 2022, an unlikely friendship between Mohammed Arif and a Sarus crane became popular across India (and even the world!). But then, the story took an unexpected turn when the Uttar Pradesh Forest Department confiscated the bird and charged Arif under the Wildlife Protection Act. Now, PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) has made an appeal to the authorities.

No freedom to bird in India . In forest department it cannot live happily because nobody can take care like his respected person because there is a number of animal less attention . It is not a parrot to keep in small cage minimum 1050 or 2000/2000 square feet is required to that bird cage it is also small . No justice should be granted to that' bird sarus bird No freedom ,No place,
No food . it can live freely with his respected person is right person not having to help bird in critical situation it can be cased in court give freedom to bird sarus unit with his friends is right decision
