She could have dealt with it quietly, sent in Snipers or fucking Stealth Operatives, but instead she started shooting the place up without warning or consideration for collateral damage.

Yeah Blackwall is slowly erasing her. She's not only just dying but a rogue AI is also taking over her body and taking away her memories. It is more apparent if you side with Reed during Firestarter. You get to see all of So Mi's backstory and yet she doesn't remember anything from her past. Also the person So Mi had to to deal with to get her to the moon for the cure is probably Blue Eyes and Blue Eyes can actually be spotted in the spaceport. I haven't seen him since I have only done it once, but others have mentioned this.

As much as I personally didn’t want to give So Mi back to Reed, when I did my first run through of the killing moon, man the amount of innocent people that kept dying as we moved through the mission was really pushing me to re play and give up So Mi at the dog town battle. CDPR’s writing teams really cooked up one of the most depressing endings for both options. The fact that So Mi betraying us at the end was such a blow considering she used us because V related to her on a personal level was so painful, but something inside me wanted to get her on that rocket. I really hope she survived… cause she really kept on fighting till the end. The quote by Johnny on the monorail at the end of him praising her really made me reflect if all that killing was worth it. And than to top it off, having to kill Reed… the hesitation of killing someone who you pretty much became good friends with was devastating. All up, this is easily on my top 10 best story’s I have ever played.
I mean, 99% of people would do the same thing she did in her situation. She's desperate, alone and dying. To add to that she's had countless "friends" betray her, Reed included. Reed knew what the Blackwall was doing to her (you can see it if you visit the Cynosure facility), yet he stubbornly believes that the same people who destroyed her health will also be the ones who will save her.

well, how many people V kills to save his\her skin? no matter how you go about it, you have to kill shit ton of people in Arasaka tower (not all of them "evil" goons trying to kill you, some just innocent bystanders too), and maybe sacrifice a few friends on the way
Even though it could be messy, my run through this mission was remarkably clean. Instead of firing at all, my V just dashed through to the Tycho terminal in stealth, and used non-lethal quickhacks (Contagion is preem btw) during the stealth-optional sections. The only time I had to start killing is during the scripted battle sequences, and even those were all Myer's goons. V's hands are clean. Figuratively.
With the looming threat of a fifth corporate war with the NUSA and Militech vs Netwatch because of the attempt to harness the blackwall as a weapon using songbird, it seems cdpr still has plans for her. So maybe in the sequel we’ll be able kill her.
Abandon her at Hole in the Sky and if enough time elapses Songbird will tell you the Myer's dead, forcing you into a blackout that causes you to wake up near the Heavy Heart's building
I feel like the people blaming songbird rather than Myers for literally ordering an attack on an airport prompting a potential war so her secrets can stay safe, are missing an incredibly obvious point. If Songbird could have simply given herself up to be used as a tool of war for Myers then Myers could have just as easily not condemned innocent people to death. More easily even.

When V uploads Alt to the Arasaka tower in the nomad ending, she/it does exactly what So Mi does here and turns the entire tower security hostile. So it goes in Night City. Myers orders the attack on the airport despite having other choices, which just goes to show that So Mi can't wring her hands if she wants any chance of getting out alive.

Because during the story V gets tons of people killed so they can survive between the Hellman mission, the Evelyn mission, what goes down Netwatch and the Voodoo boys, leading up to the final mission unless you do the secret ending and even then, you "kill" Johnny unless you let him take over. Songbird's arc is analogous to V's except she was a tool of a dictator and V willingly did a job that went sideways and died for it once and is still willing to kill people to cheat death.

Scorpion and the other Nomads you try to stop but they die from their own actions, and all the Kang Tao can live besides the pilot whom Panam kills and you can call her out on it. Don’t recall any deaths in the Evelyn mission. If Alt kills the Voodoo Boys that’s not V’s fault since they didn’t know and can express horror at it. So they’re not the same at all.
I applied the famous lesser Evil theory of geralt here. While on surface, dozens if not hundreds may have died in exchange for So Mi's escape and life, If she'd been handed over to Myers, thousands would've died at the hands of Myers who would've continued to use So Mi. It wasn't a choice between Reed or Songbird but actually between Myers and Songbird.
Between this and her turning the stadium defenses on Dogtown killing countless more innocent people, it is really easy to side with Reed instead of Songbird.
Well if you only see what is happening in front of you sure. Very myopic way of looking at things. But all you're giving is a war criminal like Myers a very dangerous tool like Songbird with access to the Blackwall. You're basically handing a WMD to a war criminal. Dogtown and Spaceport deaths are a small price to pay. Also it was the NUSA who slaughtered all the innocents in the Orbital Air Spaceport not Songbird.

If you don't use a gun, and only melee weapons against Myers assault team then Orbital Air won't attack you.
