Apparently Earl Spencer's daughter once wanted to go to a Chelsea game. She hired a taxi, and the driver pur Stamford Bridge into his satnav, and it took them to the village in Yorkshire where the battle was in 1066.

Stamford Bridge Stadium is one of the oldest sporting venues used for Football in the country. But it ain't that old. 8-) Although King Harold's army probably crossed the River Thames close by on their way back from the other Stamford Bridge, up north and heading for Hastings.
I once had a 3rd row seat for Goodison Park. I was sat below the level of the pitch! Not a great view that one! I was just grateful I was not front row!
Problem with goodison is that 25% of seats in the stadium are restricted view. Back of the Bullens or Gladys lower tiers basically have no view whatsoever.
I was lucky enough to have been to Stamford Bridge, Bernabeu, Nou Camp,Anfield, Old Trafford , the Ethiad and Emirates. The athmosphere in Anfield and Old Trafford are the best. Liverpool singing YNWA is impressive, but Old Trafford when Man Utd are playing well is something different, unique. Goosebumps all way through and I'm not even a United fan. Nou Camp when completely full is amazing as well.
I would have assumed that any stadium with a capacity of less than, say, 35,000 is simply not fit for purpose in the Premiership so had to be ranked at the bottom. I would also have to take into account transport links.
The Stamford bridge where the English defeated the Vikings is in the north, closer to York. The Stamford bridge that Chelsea play at is known for, well, Chelsea play there lol
cheap joke about Elland Road, but it also points out the main problem with this type of superficial ranking: the real meaning of a stadium is on game day. and nowhere do the fans make as big a difference as at Leeds. hell, they make a big difference at half their road games.
