Hi, I was a bit miffed by this too, but I got around it by buying a Noco power pack which has the function to supply constant 12V. No messing with jump leads.
In th UK we only get the 12v dc pump, Powered by a car battery. I want the 240v mains pump. Will we be getting the mains powered pump in the UK? I am looking at the QJ but waiting for a 240v version. But I will say a top class bit of kit.

Odd we got the mains pump here in The Netherlands which should be the same voltage.

youll have to loosen one of the fittings on the hose to the jack to bleed off some off the pressure, youll lose a little bit of fluid
