Oy mate.........dont bring your big ass grumpiness onto my channel. Go take your 'un laid for years' attitude elsewhere. YOUR NOT WANTED HERE (probably nowhere else either). We are DIY winners on this channel . . . . . Only LOSERS nit pick. SHOVE OFF.
I would suspect that you have either dirty contacts in the starter switch receptacle or the starter may be faulty. Because the tube is illuminating I would check those things befor getting a replaement tube. If you feel capable you may have to take the fitting apart but remember to turn off the circuit at the consumer unit first. Let me know how you get on.
I believe i am having trouble with my starter. It doesn't lock into place. Or could it be the housing around the starter. How do I know. The light will come on, but I have to turn the starter to get the light on, and then after about 30 seconds it goes out.
Unless there is some physical damage you should be able to turn the starter 1/4 turn to remove it. If still no good I would switch off the mcb/fuse and then get the cover off the fitting. You can then get a bit more physical with it. Isolate first. Then check its off with the lightswitch or preferably a meter.
Cheers mate, managed to remove the housing and get it, luckily no damage to it as it just came off it's clip.I changed starter anyway and the light tries to come on but stays with just both ends of the tube lit very dimly.
Learn something new everyday. Thanks:)
Thanks for taking the time to upload this video< really helped me out
Thank you!
