Esther is my favorite tutorial narrator, and I have followed many video crochet tutorials. She is concise, calming/soothing in her delivery. Very thorough and easy to follow, making this impossibly difficult looking, layered/textured, pattern so easy! I kept squealing with delight because it was so lovely and simple and fast! Thank you Esther.💕🌟💋

Hello Everyone, I want everyone to know Esther is the person doing this tutorial and NOT the designer of the Pattern, so Please do not leave nasty comments regarding this design as she is NOT the designer!! She is so much like all us designers who love and promote crochet, she is only trying to show people how to make this beautiful block. I know my subscribers are trying to show their love and support, but Esther is a wonderful person and she is due many, many apologies from many people. So let's show some LOVE out their to Esther and subscribe to her channel and let's get back to Loving crochet, and promoting crochet and lets show the world how we as crocheters can come together and work things out. I am so sorry Esther this is happening to you as well. You have done an excellent job on this video. And I am happy to subscribe to your channel. Love Creative Grandma

Creative Grandma so sad , she is a wonderful teacher, I love all of her tutorials. Her voice is so soothing and her crocheting is beautiful. Sometimes I just watch her videos because she’s so calming. People can be thoughtless sometimes but I hope they are not truly trying to be hurtful. Thank you Esther for all your time and talent, God bless you. 💕

That's very sweet of you! I couldn't agree more, she has helped me SO MUCH, and I can't even fathom the amount of time she puts into these tutorials. She certainly doesn't deserve negativity weather they are her personal designs or not. It's always sad to read negative comments on anyone's tutorials, regardless of what it is they are making. People put their time and effort into teaching others for free, and that in itself should be appreciated. I love your work also, Creative Grandma! I only just found you a couple of weeks ago but I really enjoy your tutorials as well. I finished the 16 point star/flower baby blanket last week and just added extra rows to make it a bit bigger and my 8 year old absolutely loves it😊

Good grief! Why on earth would anyone post "nasty comments" about something offered here with considerable care, time and effort? If a viewer doesn't like a pattern it's __SIMPLE __-- Just skip it! I am making the first two stages of this pattern. So far it is lovely. I always learn _a_lot_ from Esther's videos. Her aesthetic sense is excellent. Her teaching technique is perfect for me. (I like your videos too, Creative Grandma.)

This is a perfect tutorial. I love how you show us EXACTLY where to place our stitches. Going to the yarn store rn to start making a shawl, purse, blanket, the possibilities are endless with the beginning square, not to mention just leaving it as is. I truly appreciate you sharing your wonderful talent.

I have considered this pattern much to complicated, but you show and explain it so patient and easy. Thank you very much to encourage beginners like me to follow a d

The only reason I can think anyone would give this a thumbs down 👎 is because they can’t crochet it. She is a very good teacher but I am stressed out. No tv no one talking to me I need quiet and have to pay attention to her . I needed many times to watch what I was doing over and over but it will be worth it thumbs up from me I am a very dumb person when I try to crochet. Thank you for the video

I thank you Esther so much for all your time and patience in making videos like this so that we can all learn new and exciting things. You are a great teacher and your voice is just so soothing and helps prevent me from getting frustrated when I make a mistake. Lots of credit to all the designers out there but equally lots of credit to all those wonderful people who make videos like this to help us all who want to learn the wonderful art of crochet. I'm not a designer (and never will be!) nor would I have the confidence to make any tutorial video, but I'm so grateful to all the marvelous people who can. I am fairly new to crochet, having spent most of my time knitting, but I have made so many lovely things I really didn't think I would be able to, and all with the help of videos like this. So Esther, a VERY BIG THANK YOU FROM ME, I really appreciate you being able and willing to help newbies like me learn new and exciting projects. :) xx

YOU are the deciding factor in the crochet projects I choose. When I'm looking for a new project (I prefer to crochet to a video than a pattern), if it has you as the crochet genie with the hook, then that's what I choose. You are the best, honestly; so elegantly quiet, consistent, helpful and your voice is hypnotic. Thank you for being wonderful Esther. :)

I'm seriously glad that I've stumbled upon your channel😊 I just finished a Sophie's garden square following your tutorial (I absolutely could NEVER have done it without your help) and now I'm moving on to this! Your time and effort put into these tutorials are so very appreciated. I know you hear that constantly, but it's true. Some of the written patterns for the tutorials you do (while very well written) can be very difficult in the sense that it's SO easy to skip stitches that are tucked away behind other stitches, or just not be sure of where exactly you should be putting stitches which will inevitably lead to frustrating mistakes. So I thank you sincerely, without you explaining those little areas that could cause stitch counts to be off, I probably would have abandoned that Sophie's garden square. Which would be a shame because it's so beautiful! Thanks again! 😘😘

Your voice and accent are so soothing. I'm trying so hard to watch this tutorial, but your voice is making me sleepy. Lol. Some people just have the most soothing speaking voices. My 1st grade teacher, I remember, had a very soft-spoken, soothing voice as well. I'm surprised I moved on to 2nd grade 😂 You're a great thorough teacher.

Once again ty Ester for another great follow along Cal instructions. Its due to you that i m now a advance crocheter and even tho I now can read patterns, when your avaible with a follow a long , I would rather listen to your amazing voice then reading a boring pattern. I must say that i cant belive that your channel isnt growing much , since you are the best on youtube. And believe me i watched them all . Not that i m gonna mention names .
I can only think for a moment how it must feel like dealing with the same questions over and over with such lazy questions , cause people cant read properly and for that you should be awarded I feel with the biggest award there is on youtube.
Keep doing what you are doing , and dont let people get to you , since your the best at what your doing .... No shade :)
    Always Yours

Instead of double, treble, double, chain, double, treble, double in each corner, and then slip stitching after joining to get back to the corner, if you did one double, treble, double, went around the whole thing, then at the starting corner then did a double, treble, double, chain and then slip to join, wouldn't that have you starting at the corner at the start of the next row? Or would that mess it up somehow?

Newbie here so it's 2 or 3 dc in first stitch but just two in each stitch after? I'm confused. EDITED: NVM I rewound it a few times until I got it. TY
