In this video, see how the Baylor Bears football team defense, led by Dave Aranda and Ron Roberts, shut down Lincoln Riley's Oklahoma Sooners in 2021. See how Baylor built a run-game plan around spilling pulling blockers to the edge, where split-safety coverages allowed them to incorporate DB's as extra defenders against the run. We'll also look at how Baylor's CB coverage technique (MOD technique) helped them in both their downfield coverage and in the outside run game, before looking at how these split-safety coverages created some weaknesses in underneath coverage.
