Stealth in AC Odyssey is actually great. Apart from bosses and mythical creatures is possible to play almost the entire game in stealth. The best skills in the game are mostly in the stealth tree and they are pretty comprehensive. Rush assassination is the best skill in the game and combined with critical assassination you can clear out huge forts and dozens of enemies without coming out of stealth.

One of the things I've been doing in Origins is following a code of sorts; I won't kill anyone I don't have to. If an area is telling me to only loot treasure, I have to sneak my way around guards without killing them, making it much more difficult to maneuver without being able to take out enemies. Sleep darts help immensely but since the guards wake up you still have to be careful. This also makes objectives where I have to kill one or more of the members of a fort more difficult as I have to do it without being detected or else I'll be on the run due to my self imposed limitation. It has made killing captains and such much more tense, especially since high priority targets tend to spend a lot less time alone

I had like a crazy build that was mainly assassin but generally involved using the ridiculously overpowered chain assassination build, 50% crit on assassination and maybe that special assassin knife from the Atlantis dlc that AoE upon each assassination.
i hated stealth in Odyssey because there were often times when i'd just not got lucky enough to get stealth damage gear so i just couldn't kill anyone even with the difficulty lowered and the level scaling at the lowest. it took until the Atlantis DLC for me to be able to consistently kill most enemies without having to use the critical kill (and running out of adrenaline and having to go hunt animals to get it back to carry on killing), and although the three parts of that DLC were my favourite bit of the game, i just stopped caring during the last part of Legacy of the Hidden Blade. i preferred Origins in almost every way, with choices being the only thing that Odyssey didn't make worse (and Odyssey ran like shit on low settings while Origins just had the standard Ubisoft optimisation issues). even the afterlife stuff just felt too mundane, especially when the "real" world was so mythical. when i first stepped into Aaru, i was genuinely amazed. when i first stepped into Elysium, i was just disappointed
One of the most relatable reasons stealth was needed in the previous games is because it was a hassle having to fight 15 swordsmen soldiers at once when you could die from 3 sword blows. In titles like Origins and Odyssey, we were given the RPG gaming experience, armor and weapons with different and stronger attributes to be able to fight against more formidable enemies, until stealth became more of an optional selection, since with the gameplay of these games you are able to fight hordes of enemies at once without complications. I'm just saying, if anyone here is afraid of fighting 100 at once, stay away from these games.

Bringing the assassin back into Assassins Creed, one stab at a time.
I wouldn't stop until you talk about the prince of persia series
The fact that unity was 2 times longer means something
I think this style of videos suits you. It feels like a Modest Pelican video... but good.
Now we just have to wait for a stealth Ac Origins video
Dude, amazing 😂🤣😂 freakin Marcos. Please do more.
i hated stealth in Odyssey because there were often times when i'd just not got lucky enough to get stealth damage gear so i just couldn't kill anyone even with the difficulty lowered and the level scaling at the lowest. it took until the Atlantis DLC for me to be able to consistently kill most enemies without having to use the critical kill (and running out of adrenaline and having to go hunt animals to get it back to carry on killing), and although the three parts of that DLC were my favourite bit of the game, i just stopped caring during the last part of Legacy of the Hidden Blade. i preferred Origins in almost every way, with choices being the only thing that Odyssey didn't make worse (and Odyssey ran like shit on low settings while Origins just had the standard Ubisoft optimisation issues). even the afterlife stuff just felt too mundane, especially when the "real" world was so mythical. when i first stepped into Aaru, i was genuinely amazed. when i first stepped into Elysium, i was just disappointed
Finally, someone references the world's greatest spy movie.
Oh how long I’ve waited for this.
Please keep this series going
