"Hey everyone it's been a while,
Three years ago I released Black Mesa Military with chapters from 1 to 7, other chapters I was going to work on later on, but serious health problems and lack of time forced me to put the mod on halt for the next 3 years. About a month ago, I talked with Slaver, one of the former developers of the mod. He did soundtrack and dialogues for marines. And this is where tragic part comes in. We started to revive the mod, I mapped for a while in Hammer to improve the original chapters, but unfortunately due to disagreements that we had, he will no longer be part of the modification, to put it simply, he says my mod is not professional enough for his content, that's the general consensus. I will not tell the details but his work is off the mod, which forces me to remove all the soundtrack and all the dialogues that he made for the mod, it will be gone. Which means the mod's quality will suffer but that is not something I will fix on my own. So I apologise in advance, to all the fanbase who enjoyed the mod, that is a huge blow I know, but there are things that are beyond our capabilities am I right?
So that is the bad news, the good news is that I am resuming the work on the mod, and will post some updates soon. Though that debacle with audio may delay it for a while so I don't know yet what will be the result. Anyone who wants to do soundtrack for the mod is welcome, because now the generic Black Mesa tracks will be used instead.

This man Slaver (Studio) is spewing lies. He is a snake and a wolf in sheep's clothing don't trust him. He is very hard to work with and he wanted to take over my modifiication and make it his own that's why he made a discord for it in the first place. I refused so HE lashed out at me not the other way. He is now LYING in your face that I got aggressive while I was in fact trying to calm him down, I still have screenshots from our conversations and will most likely show them publicly. He was saying he had life threatening surgery and told me he would die, so I spared him the humiliation, but he is now lying so I see no reason to be kind to him anymore.

there is a big timeline mistake : Steven mills seems to fight the Black ops way before the events of Surface tensions. Black ops didnt start shooting the millitary until the "forget about freeman" chapter. which is akward. Also the fight VS Freeman is little bit WTF, him taking that much damage, maybe it would make more sense if Freeman knock out Steven maybe in the very begining... somehow not letting you the time to place 100 bullets in freeman's body.
Well honestly it’s hard to tell since we see Black Ops or Black Ops Assassins to be exact during the Chapter Apprehension in HL1 and BM:S meaning they arrived earlier.
@@pieseldatches5555 hello Piesel, yes true they came before, but you can see that black ops and the military worked together/synchronise to apprehend freeman (first you have the 4 or 5 black ops u must kill then u have the 2 millitaries who knock you out and take you while you can just watch)
It's still hard for me to believe that the black ops had the order to destroy militaries before the chapter of ''forget about freeman''...
i like very much the idea of Black mesa military but it's better if they are no confusing parts so it can stick perfectly to the main story line !

I hope to God that this isn't the final product. Yeah, the HECU marines in the original Half-Life and Opposing Force were living architypes, but at least they had personality. Somehow, this manages to be even more stiff and lifeless than a game made in 1998.
Well I haven’t found a longer video or playtrough of the full opposing force mod, so maybe not?

this Opposing-force-like custom story mode looks nice , well-made but i would've liked more appropriate military weaponry because it gets old to refound exactly the same guns than the original game , in that case he should download models anims, and sounds from sites like FPSBanana. Would have been nice if the Glock would be replaced by a Beretta M9 and the shotgun by a Remmy 870 or a Mossberg by example . a Benelli M4 wouldve been also neat. The addition of a M40 Sniper is nice but it should have shotgun-like animation, like putting bullets one by one.

The Half Life franchise could house a pretty neat team-based tactical survival horror shooter game.
Imagine 5 Marines clearing smaller Black Mesa outposts from enemies. Like SWAT4 or ReadyOrNot!
Except against Xen inhabitants! Of course quick enemy ranged firing would be needed so ShockTroopers with Roaches could be agile enough to use cover and could have the same enslaving green collars the Vortigaunts would currently have in this timeframe. There could still be slightly smaller versions of Alien Grunts with Hive Hands that could crash through certain wall surfaces also maybe destroy barricades and be super dangerous at close range, some more evolved Pit Drones with somekind of obstacle parkour and limited wall-running, juvenile man-sized Pit Worms with eye beam and some AoE gas clouds also having the green slave collars, and the classic enslaved Vortigaunts but more adept at melee clawing.
Soldiers would be limited to MP5, M16, Glock OR Desert Eagle, Sniper Rifle, M249, SPAS-12, frag grenade, optional gas masks, a new kick attack, and knife. And certain levels could have a small special appearance of a limited number of special weapons like the RPG, Minigun (previously cut), Satchel Charge. Freely customizable appearance with the exception of selected items to use appearing on model.
All factions playable!!
Further factions could be:
Black Ops who have silenced USP pistols, tricky Frag and Flash grenade use, silenced MP5s, Crossbows, Laser Tripmines, martial arts attacks integrated into gun-fu, and can cloak (imperfectly) while stationary but attacks will have a cooldown after cloak. Maybe even smaller Throwing Knives. Customizability as of soldiers'. Generally lower damage output and fewer weapon selection as soldiers.
Facility Personnel who can choose between different suits:
HEV suits in multiple colors to be really tanky and withstand some limited fire/cold/electric hazard and pack a mean punch and visible long jump module having Spore Launcher and MP5,
Hazmat Suit for low oxygen, gas, and radiation access/flanking/puzzles, Gluon Gun, Glock, and Crowbar,
Engineer that can build a turret, fix doors and machinery, Tau Cannon and upward jump boosts, Colt Python, Molotov Cocktails, and Pipewrench,
Or be a Security Guard with more convetional gear that enables an extra weapon slot, a prototype weaker Displacement Cannon with a very long recharge time, Glock, M16, and a semi-regulation electric stun baton that can short out keypads and cloaking equipment temporarily.
Always 1 team vs 1 team per match. Players could select which factions they'd like playing in the menu.

Wants to kill almost every of the witness to the resonance cascade, got ruined because of an orange popsicle inevitable man that has a protection against explosion, water, gunshots and radiation, that one shot from a tank cant even kill him
Meanwhile adrian shepherd and the other militaries:
Kicking the ass out of race x and xenian creatures, saving the scientists, witnessed freeman going trough the xen portal, defeated a miniboss, defeated hundreds of black ops/assasins, defused a bomb that is set by the "government man", killed a stupid worm that was stuck in a pit, and i giant worm with tentacles that are stuck in a portal, got recruited by gman

I think it make more sense if the military did not get orders to shoot civilians till gordon freeman showed up in sector c stowage in we got hostiles chapter because I noticed their were civilians ahead of gordan that were not at till Gordon showed up where I believe were suddenly changed to excuate all civilians in black mesa this move would be unexpected by troops on the ground many would follow the new orders with many questioning why they are order to kill black mesa personal.

This mod is a total rip of my (incomplete) mod conceived and publicly known circa 2000, "The Clean Up Mod". Intended to have campaigns for 3 factions, 4 characters each with unique storylines (Black Ops, Marines, and special Forces Marines); loads of new weapons, new features. As a 14/15 year old, all I could barely do was (sort of) make weapon models and maps... had no idea how to code : /

why did the HECU marines kill all people who are working for Black Mesa Research Facility instead of aliens or zombies? If so, the US military didn't protect victims and innocent people, did they? And that is the problem which the game aimed at, isn't it?
because the HECU were told that the employees were infected and had intentionally started a mass disaster that killed many people.
