Hi Pritish, Please watch the full lecture. I have explained there what is 1.5 and 1.15. We use the factor of safety in Working Stress Method (WSM) which is 3 for concrete and 1.78 for steel. We can use permissible values from IS 456:2000 or you can use factor safety also to find out the permissible values for WSM. On the other hand we partial safety factors for materials in LSM which is 1.5 for concrete and 1.15 for steel. Thanks
Thanks Shivam. Currently we start with RCC. If you want to access full course you can visit MachenLink.com we will launch some others courses including Design of Steel Structures based on IS 800. So, stay tuned and enjoy learning.
Hey Ritu, We are trying our best to make engineering learning as engaging as possible. Visit our website machenlink.com for many other courses and services. We are working to change the complete way of how engineering is taught and we appreciate any sort of feedbacks (positive or negative) from our viewer's end. Thanks for the support !!
Hello Parvez... Thanks for the appreciation... We will do everything in our power to help all the engineers in the best way possible.. We request you to keep strengthening your basics... Keep watching the lectures regularly.. They will greatly increase your knowledge of the subject....Study well !! :)
Dear Venkatesh, Our target in designing to provide materials in way that it can achieve it's maximum stress level without failure. The maximum stress level achieved at 0.002 strain. Beyond 0.002 strain, stress start decreasing.
Sorry for the inconvenience Prashant. Actually we are too busy with our website launch which has been delayed. we promise that this type of late uploads will never happen in future.Just pardon us this single time. Thanks for the support.
Yes Pranesh, We have to assume most critical condition of these load then we apply load factor to complete the safe design. Even we apply serviceability factor in advance while designing to make structure not only safe but also serviceabile.
Dear Prashant One we complete RCC in English. Our next project is "RCC in Hindi". You can expect RCC hindi lectures by November 2017 on our website machenlink.com. We will upload preview videos on youtube too... So Stay Tuned !! Thanks for the support.
Hello Rajdeep, You can access our complete lecture series on our website machenlink.com. We provide all our services at a very nominal cost which is necessary to keep our lectures running. I hope you understand our commitment.

Me also same ..... in between of voice there is irritating disturbance..... but effort and presenting the video is very nice sir
Thank you very much sir for providing the video tutorials
at 9:41 stresses in steel is indirectly related to the stresses in surrounding concrete. HOW????
Really helpful ........👍👍👍
A lot of Thanks to the team of passionate engineers who wanted to assist aspiring engineers & Definitely your Moto will become true
the way representation of content is very helpful for understanding who couldn't understand
THANK YOU VERY MUCH ALL
Nice video 👍 Thank you 😊
Just brilliant
Why should we take only 0.67fck?how do we get it? Hope you will explain it

Thank you so much... It helped a lot...
As clear as crystal......
Please sir suggest......For the Road & building department examination , which topics are most important & must will be done ??????
THANKS FOR YOUR VALUABLE INFORMATION
0.67fck kaise Aya sir?
its really awsome way to understand each and everything in good manner 🍁May god bless u Respected ♧MachenLink
Really helpfull thank u sir
what is proof strain?
what is the difference between service load, design load and working load
Sir please make videos highway engineering
Sir
Safety factor for concrete is 1.5 and for Steel 1.15 as per is 456:2000 page-68

Sir excellent explanation... thank you but with influence of twice...sir ji.....
1.5( DL + WL) or 0.9 dl+ 1.5 wl.........How to decide when to use which one??
+Pranesh Agarwal if both the DL and WL reach to their characteristic value simultaneously we will use load factor as 1.5 other wise 0.9DL + 1.5WL
Can we say in advance while designing?
Yes Pranesh,
We have to assume most critical condition of these load then we apply load factor to complete the safe design.
Even we apply serviceability factor in advance while designing to make structure not only safe but also serviceabile.
got it..thanks for answering.
well explain sir .. thanku
