@@thedvsmonkey I’m a pretty simple guy either “standard” or BW with jpegs. I REALLY liked the “Leica monochrome” on the s9..almost kept it just for that alone
Fuji seems like all hipster hype to me. Like the re-emergence of vinyl records. I lived that era, and records were a pain in the butt and don't sound better (unless you have really expensive audio equipment) than CD's or streaming (as long as it's decent quality). If I want that nostalgic crackle, there are programs that can add that and you'd never know the difference. Now, if I came across some old records and wanted to play them, yeah--I get that. It's also neat to think about the craftsmanship that goes into making the grooves that produce the sound but other than that...we have better tools now.
I feel sorry for fuji sometimes, they have to please the traditionalist and the those that want better technology (autofocus). The xt30ii is not that old but the AF is borderline un-useable if you are trying to photograph people.
@hasenmyer true. Sony seems to get everything good, just not great except autofocus. Panasonic is better at Stab and they say canon and Fuji are better at color.
I would never attempt to use my Fuji gear for family events. I reserve the Fuji exclusively for when I’m ALONE and have time to tinker. That’s the reason I left Fuji in the first place. 😂 Sony is amazing for everything else.
i use 2 recipes on my XT4 . . . Nomadic Mood and The Dude and i like them both.

your statement is both sad and VERY true. I've never been impressed with the xt30ii,,(don't tell the fanboys though :))
