Yeah the seperate options for video and photo got me on the s5 for a while, lol. One thing the S5 does though is you can just hold down a button and program it to whatever you want, that is SOO much easier than going through the custom mode buttons one at a time. Yeah learning a new system is a pain once you get used to another one for sure!
I am a fujifilm user. Last year this time, I bought a A6700 and a Lumix S5 at the same time. I kept the S5 and returned the A6700. Sony cameras have amazing autofocus but the color is terrible especially skin tone rendering. Panasonic has superb color straight out of the camera. In some lighting conditions, I like S5 color better than my fuji x-t4. I definitely recommend that you keep the S9 :)
That's stupid to have two settings for monitor brightness. Glad they don't make cell phones. Too many options. Panasonic needs to learn the KISS principle. Simplicity Enhances Usability.

not enough buttons on s9 to program.
