We did have the same braided charger last year. A friend of mine has the 1st ultra and he just got the ultra 2 and he put the down to go take care of his daughter and when he came back he didn’t know which one was which. I think they should have put 2nd gen on the back.

No, it will Last a lot oder year longer. The Chip from Ultra 1 is the Same as in Watch 6 from 2020

Brought the samsung watch 6 classic and they charge you for the band which is not included you have to pay for one which I don't like
I don’t really get why people put the trail loop on where it pulls towards the body instead of away like the solo loop. It makes no sense when taking a strap off to pull towards. It should be pulled away.

I have never seen the need for cellular on my Apple Watch. I wish there was a less expensive non-cellular version of the Ultra. 😪

So, I find it interesting that apple is advertising that the heart rate zone tracking is a new feature when actually it was in Watch OS 9, though I don't know if it was apart of Watch OS prior to OS 9. You just have to swipe up or down through the workout states during the workout or you have to turn it on in what ever workout you want to do.
I own a Apple Watch 6 at this time. I do not plan on moving to a new Apple Watch until new health tracking features are part of a new model.
The model I would be moving to is the Ultra with the sapphire crystal watch face. I have owned a high end precision watch in the past with sapphire crystal watch face that cost as much as the Ultra. The only thing it did was tell time.

Can you please try soaking the band in water, and see how long it takes for it to dry. Feels like a very important aspect when picking armbands.

You can do mostly upper body strength exercise until your ankle feels
The ultra has 32 gb of storage and the ultra 2 has 64 gb of storage and the 9 chip😊
Last year did get the braided cable. I have one. Series 8 didn't. Series 9 got it this year but I did buy the stainless steel version so not sure about the aluminum series 9

This apple watch hardware and sensors are probably 10 years ahead of garmin, l hope the software for training overcome garmin in the near future

I literally thought I got scammed when hours later I read the back and don’t see the 2.. to be fair I upgraded from the series 3 Nike which said it proudly on the back.

I have the Nike rubber sport band for a 6 series. I cycling a lot, so it works for all the sweat after 3 hrs riding..Im worried this trail band would stink and look nasty AF . Anyone have experience with cycling and this band?

First sorry about your injury . Now onto the NEW ? Apple Watch Ultra 2, which I will now be purchasing . I've had the original for almost a year now and LOVE it finding no reason for Apple to sell another watch if only for profit. This is the perfect watch, would have been nice to see in different colors like the IPhone , maybe some day??. Also I like the new watch face Ultra, everything you need in one glance. You didn't mention that the included charger has a USB-C connector end, not the usual USB-A end.
This means you cannot plug it into the front of most any desktop computer (or laptop for that matter) or any of the typical USB-A charging blocks you've accumulated over the years. (the blocks that plug into an electric outlet)
This ultimately means you need to go buy a USB-C to USB-A adapter or a USB-C block. (Amazon has both)

The watch ultra doesn’t seem worth it because it’s in a mature market. You could get a Gucci watch or a really nice tank watch for half the price
Nothing wrong with not much change - but new chip & 64 GB storage is welcomed, 3% cash back & trade-in and I'm paying $620 for the AU2 - not bad.
I don't wear a watch at all but as soon as one reliably monitors my blood sugar level I'm in.

Wondering if anyone else has this issue. . I got the ultra 2 yesterday. I noticed there is a gap on the right side of the display between the glass and the titanium lip. I can see down into the watch. It’s not huge, roughly a paper size, I can fit a piece of paper into it and that’s what I used to clean the little lint/debris that accumulated. I have my ultra 1 to compare and the display and the on that has no gaps and is flush with the titanium. Other than the annoyance of needing to clean it with a piece of paper(after just one day), my bigger concern is watertight integrity. I am a recreational scuba diver and since the ultra 1 have been using the ultra as my dive computer. Im wondering if this defect affects the water resistance.

No gap on mine. I would take it to Apple and get it replaced.

I’ve done a bit of research and a few people online have had water damage on their ultra. I’m assuming it’s because of this defect as I’ve dived multiple times to 60plus feet with my ultra 1
That doesn’t sound good. If paper gets in there so does water.
