Everyone in this band is so solid. That guitar work is so tasty....

I've listened to this song an insane amount since it came out. If you haven't heard Kittie's new song "Eyes Wide Open" it's worth listening to. All these great songs coming out around the same time is awesome.

This is such a great song by Alestorm and such a nice change after they spent their last albums being the silly drinking band. Thank you for the reaction! And wise choice turning on subtitles. :D

I think this is the earliest I've ever seen one of your reactions. I was just about to go to bed here in Canada, but it's probably next week down under so hope your day is going well! Totally agree on that chorus being great. Super catchy, and I was already singing along by the second time it played. Funny enough, I was also thinking during the video that she would make a great addition to the band. And with a female singer, a "normal" male singer, and a harsh vocalists, they can rebrand themselves as Alemaranthe. That reminds me, if you haven't seen it already, check out Chris's comments in the description section of the official video. Pretty amusing stuff.

Mate Alemaranthe actually made me choke on my drink lol I'll definitely check it out. Do you have a favourite song by them?

@@Jaimunji I think this might be miscommunication, but Alemaranthe was just a joke about if Patty joined Alestorm so unfortunately, I have no songs to recommend. Also, the "Chris's comments" I was referring to are the ones in the official video for this one ("Voyage of the Dead Marauder").
If you are looking for OTHER recommendations, I would highly recommend checking out the band Dominum. They released their first album a few months, and I ended up adding 11 of the 13 songs to my playlist. Their schtick is being "zombie metal," but the music is REALLY good (IMO, of course). My favorite song is probably "Immortalis Dominum," but they have made videos for a lot of their songs, and none of them are bad.
In addition, if you haven't heard Exit Eden before, I would highly recommend them as well. They are kind of a supergroup as the three female singers are from existing groups (probably most notably, Clementine from Visions of Atlantis), and at least one of the band members is from Kissin' Dynamite, I think. They do a combination of covers and original stuff. My personal favorite off their recently released album is "Desechantee," but I'm biased since I am a HUGE fan of the original by French pop star Mylene Farmer (who'da thunk?). They also have a great original with Marko Hietala called "Run!" which may be a better starting point for you.

Exit Eden released Désenchantée (Mylene Farmer Cover) with a great video. Another great band to check out BTW. It's a supergroup with 3 singers from other bands you might recognise

Hey :D I can't find your reaction to "Farewell" anywhere on your channel, do you have a link?
And I agree as well as many People in Alestorms Comments, Patty should become a Member of the Band xD
I mean Patty was in a Pirate Metal Band "Storm Seeker" for a few years before, so... Pls take her Alestorm :D At least for a Tour or two.^^

Turns out the video has been blocked for some reason :( which absolutely sucks! But keen to check out Storm Seeker as I have never heard of it.

@@Jaimunji Storm Seeker is a German pirate metal band and Patty was a member of it until the end of 2018. If you want to make something really unique you could check out the same song in three completely different versions - "The longing". Written 2017 by Patty for Storm Seeker and with nearly 4 million views for their official video not bad recognised - but Pattys own version (on her youtube-channel of course) made in a layered hurdy-gurdy-style (means: hurdy-gurdy in different settings produces all the music) has nearly 15 million views now and there is even an acustic cello + hurdy-gurdy version on the Storm Seeker youtube-channel as well. 3 different but good versions and as far as I know never compared in one video. Could be a challenge for you. :D
