Thanks Jeroen! Always good seeing you and Mirela. You guys had a wonderful time in Koh Mak, Koh Kood (+ Koh Kham), and Koh Kradat. These videos are inspiring and a great motivator. Appreciate it my man.
I do confirm that the flight experience is great both at Trat and Sukhotai airport. The process is very smooth all the way: with efficient and helpful staff, on time flights with good service on board and at the airport. And as you mentioned, the airports are very beautiful. For those who plan to go to Koh kood as I did, just be careful with the boat company Boonsiri, the schedule they sold us for the way back was totally unrealistic, even though we left on time the schedule for the combination of the boat and the van to the airport can make you miss your flight to bkk.
you should take a look at Sukhothai Airport, that is really small, beautiful and has a very funny luggage handling upon arrival! We flew from Bkk to Suk years ago in a propellor airplane with only 30 seats :-)
The ATR’s. My first flight with these was … Chiang Mai to Mae Hong Song. ( yep, the same one that kind of crashed there) Kinda like the ATR’s. Done numerous flights from Dusseldorf to Dresden with Eurowings.
We’re going to Thailand next month & thinking about to visit Koh Chang +koh Kood for the first time. I myself a Thai person would love to flying there to Trat because it just makes me sick+ tired sitting on the bus for many hours but because of my teenage daughter who has a problem with it then I don’t have other choices.😢
Nice video Jeroen about Trat Airport to go to Koh Chang I love that Island. Looks indeed a bit similar but smaller than Samui Airport which I flew 2x times. Very relax their from what I see. You take a bus or taxi to koh Chang and back to the Airport?
we flew one-way Bangkok to Trat in 2023, they had 8-seater minibuses which take the passengers to their respective resorts on Koh Chang (via ferryboat) I recall it cost 500THB per person.
My understanding the ATR72-600 does not fit with oven, their onboard meal might be supplied/preheated from their catering facility in BKK and loaded with flight bound from BKK.
The Trat airport is awesome, almost as awesome as Koh Chang!!!
I like such small airports, no hectic no stress 😊just be there and enjoy travelling 😊✈️🇹🇭🍀
Great report, showing all the necessary details . And a real meal! That is Bangkok Air on its best!
Thanxx for sharing🙏, support Thailand, love this country ❤ and the videos about it🍀🤗

Used that airport last year.
It's nice, but still along way to Koh Chang when you land.

Good luck my friend

The baggage claim area of this airport is quite interesting.
This is relaxed traveling😊
Yes indeed. And perfect if you fly from Suvarnabhumi to other destinations. Saves the stress of catching your flight.

@@petercross6960 Thx for the info
❤very nice👍

The food was tasty. It is a short flight, maybe they heat it at the Trat airport and load it warm.
Bangkok Airways has been ranked by Skytrax as the world's best regional airline for 2024 👍
The service they provide is really good. I can not say anything bad about that.
Thank you Jeroen for this video. What is your experience with the ATR72 turboprop? 🙏
The flight was very smooth :-)
@@globaltravelmate smoother than the Q8 I used to fly aloy in the UK
A bit different from Hartsfield-Jackson🙂?
I like this airport. But the Bangkok Airways monopoly makes the flights expensive.
Well I think Bangkok airways built these airports and spent capital so in a way they should get some monopoly
Hey Jeroen, wat voor Gimball gebruikte voor je telefoon om te filmen? Greetz Duncan
Ik gebruik een Insta360 flow
Are the flight prices way more expensive like they are to Samui?
Yes. Get the bus. Far cheaper.
Especially on the way toKoh Chang.
Yes, the flights are not cheap.
