This is the tear down of a locked up 1600 Volkswagen engine. I wanted to see what went wrong inside. I was surprised by what I found. Also had special guest Mustie1 helping out.
My mother had a VW 1500 engine do that at 180,000 miles. We managed to get it unseized by putting 2 quarts of oil in it. Then we limped over to a friend's house who happened to be a VW mechanic. Two days later we had it running again with a new shortblock.
Great job!! Keep up the great work.
Thank you! Will do!
Great video. I hope you continue the channel.
Yes that is Mustie1! Him and I are very good friends. Thanks for watching and subscribing.

How many VW channels does Mustie1 appear on? haha he's the cameraman here
always amazes me how simple those VW engines are on the inside.
Send the remaining parts to Brothters VW machine shop in Ontario CA and see if any of them can be machined Line bore is off for sure.
motor 1 had a bad line bore or center main gave out. caused main bearing seize
